Ivy Banerjee is a globe trotting artist who firmly holds the Bastion of North-Indian Clasical Music & Hindustani Classical music, Specialising in Kheyal, Thumri, Dadra, Ghazal, Sufi and Bangla Raga based Music.
She was tutored by her mother Tapati Banerjee, and then subsequently from Mr. Amal Mukhopadhyay and Late Bharati Kar Chowdhury(Disciple of Late Dr.Jamini Ganguly and Head of the Department ALL INDIA RADIO - AKASH BANI BHABAN(Kolkata & Siliguri). She got her training in Pure Classical Music from Pandit. Nihar Ranjan Banerjee of Bishnupur Gharana( Head of the Department of Classical Vocal Music - Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata) and Late Bidushi Smt. Purnima Chowdhury and Ustad Masqoor Ali Khan. Apart from receiving innumerable excellence awards she has also been featured by the illustrious designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and feature films like Pendulum ( starring Radhika Apte), Nirontor (starring Prasenjit Chatterjee), Shyunnota, Bi Cycle Kick, Bangaldesh's Meghmallhar etc
