So sorry! The bottles of inks are Liquitex and Daler Rowney acrylics, and the bottle of clear liquid I used to blend the oil sticks (and remove if necessary) is called Zest-It. It's a citrus scented Dilutant and brush cleaner for oils. I hope this helps? Please tell me if not 😊. Many thanks for watching 🙏

@guitardee1 Aahh, good 👍. Are you in the UK? I bought mine from Bromleys near Bolton. They do online orders if it helps you at all? Not sure where you'd find it outside the UK.

@@helenworthington1826 I left England in 1974, got fed up with the unions. Met my husband in South Africa and have been here since. Oil painting is more popular than acrylics here so I’m sure the shop will know what it is or have a substitute. The owner often makes up his own paints, solvents etc as imports are expensive. His acrylic and alcohol inks are very good although he hasn’t done some of the lovely colours that Daler Rowney have but DR are available here.

@guitardee1 Haha, I don't blame you for that! You obviously made a lovely home in South Africa to have stayed all these years. I hope your art shop can help you with something. If he sells oil paints then I'm sure it won't be difficult. Odourless thinner/cleaner will do the same thing. Good luck and keep in touch, H 😊

You're so kind, Anna, thank you! I think it's probably that beauty is in the eye of the beholder with most paintings - some people will like them, some won't. We're always our own harshest critics too! I'm sure your paintings are great, you're just too 'close' and invested in them to see them objectively. The main thing is to keep going until you find you like more of your work than you dislike. I still don't like everything I do, but have learnt that's normal for me! Hey, I'm so glad you like them - they're a good combination I think. I bet your painting was just as lovely as everyone else's! It's always difficult to see our own work with fresh eyes because we're used to our preferred colours. I see repetition in my own colour choices, so try and experiment from time to time!
