One my earliest beefs with the game that I don't recall ever got fixed was that literally everyone refers to Ayano as Yan-chan. Like, they're literally all aware that Ayano is a Yandere and even address her as such, but I'm supposed to believe that NOBODY points fingers when people go missing?

Does anyone else remember when a game studio (I think the studio that helped produce Hello Neighbor) offered to help him create his game? And then he like less than a month later said that it didn't work out due to like the company limiting his creativity and the company saying that a lot of his code would have to be completely remade.

Honestly even if he somehow did get the game done as he envisioned it the game would massively fail anyway as Alex has admitted on reddit that no manner what Ayano does, "She's evil and no good." He admitted to Taro will reject Ayano no manner what she does and that he will cheat on her in the future. Why would anyone would want to play a game where they lose no manner what and your prize is the blandest person in history who won't stay faithful to you? Also Alex needs to be taken off the internet and sent to a mental hospital.

It's a real shame because I used to love Yandere Simulator and I still do but what the developer did was just terrible.

Yandere simulator, imho, won't be interesting when it's finished. The most interesting vidoes I've seen are from those times, when even grass at the school yard was grey. You had some weapon, Kokona Haruka, and the incinerator. And some updates, when you could try different weapons and strategies. At the moment the only thing that can catch attention is 1980,s Mode, but it's also a one-time feature. I'm not interested in it since I have watched a walkthrough on TH-cam. The whole game is interesting only while there's a new feature, but when it's done, there's no interest at all, no intrigue, norhing to explore, as far every single pixel will be nothing new for the community.

I have seen several people say that Yandere Dev wanted to be a game developer, but not truly develop a game and I agree. After 10 years, the main game is getting nowhere while much more ambitious and complex indie projects managed to complete themselves in a way shorter span. I think the 1980's mode perfectly covers that at this point, he doesn't really care about Yandere Simulator as a project, and just wats to do whatever the hell he wants. This is not bad in itself, but you can't make promises to thousands of people who support you financially and have done for years and then complete a spin-off before the main game (also, his enormous ego is clearly at play hare, let's not forget Yansim was at first born out of spite because a developer he admired gave him constructive criticism about a former game AND he rejected a partnership with TinyBuild that would've allowed the game to run much more efficiently and to be completed much faster). But seeing his history on the Internet, he's always been spiteful and incapable of taking criticism or even attempt to be better, and a stubborn, spiteful guy incapable of learning from his mistakes and accept feedback from others that don't perfectly comfort him is not really the best game developer you can find out here.

I think the worst part about Yandere sim for me is its how i got exposed to hitman. And after playing all 3 recent hitman games it helped me start to see more of the potential of Yan sim. It felt somewhat refreshing to hear a guy talk about the progress he was making on this piece of art it ‘seemed’ he genuinely cared about. But now it’s clear that Alex is absolutely someone you 100 cannot apply the argument of.. “You can separate the art from the artist” One thing i noted in the Kappa video that reviewed the demo at the time was that features were clearly not implemented because it didn’t apply to how Alex himself plays his own game. Yandere simulator’s playstyle is literally designed for one person and that is Alex himself. And usually Alex’s design decisions when you actually look into them are not just bad… they are VILE.

To explain how shitty the code is, I like to use this metaphor. Competent code would be like "What animals do you like?" "I like dogs and cats." YanDev's code is like "I do not like budgies. I do not like parrots. I do not like geckos. I do not like chameleons. I do not like......" And this goes on until every animal known to man has been mentioned, completely unprompted by anything or anyone. 60 times a second. This isn't just inefficient code or having high requirements for a PC. This is like selling uncooked meat in a restaurant but you're not allowed to criticise the chef because he did his best.
