C'est beau 👌
Nice to have another wonderful fandango besides the Soler.
Olga! You are fantastic! You bring out the best in dear Dussek! Thank you!💖
Thanks so much!
Beautiful sound for, the piano!!! Is that a fortepiano?
Yes! A “Walter” copy by Paul McNulty! :)
Phenomenal performance from Ms. Pashchenko. I was also fascinated watching the pages changing on the iPad placed on the piano music stand. This is very clever. I find it distracting when the person sitting next to the pianist is constantly getting up and down turning the pages of the score.
Brava! Beautiful performance! And beautiful pianoforte!
bellísimo! felicitaciones
Замечательная музыка, отличное сочетание двух барочных инструментов, очень чистое исполнение! Благодарю Вас за это видео и поздравляю Такако с Ольгой с наступившим 2022-м годом!
Great sound
Nice
Impressive! Could it be one of the very last pieces for the harpsichord?
no. the harpsichord has been commonly played (to a lesser extend) up till about the second half of the 19th century. A lot of people by that time still had harpsichords at home they inherited. Harpsichords never actually went away entirely. In the big manor and estate houses in the UK during musical evenings it was quite normal for pianists to first perform a few pieces on the harpsichord. There is no such thing as "last piece for harpsichord" Since the instrument never suddenly vanished and music has been written for it till this very day.
@@Mrs.Karen_Walker well explained
@@KhalidTemawi Thanks. Here is a more modern work for harpsichord by Francis Poulenc you might like. th-cam.com/video/QmSQBYLx0vo/w-d-xo.html
@@Mrs.Karen_Walker interesting! You’re very knowledgeable. Thanks a lot.
Lovely performance. I like the combination of iPad and fortepiano!
I was looking at the audience to see if I could spot the person with the second synchronised iPad who was turning the pages on Olga’s iPad.
I came to know the pianist few months ago with her amazing play on the harpsichord at All of Bach channel. I was astonished by the performance. Here too, very interesting historical performance. Unusual Beethoven sound!
Beautiful performance, Olga. I only wish I could see your hands. In the running passages towards the end do you favour historical fingerings (i.e. paired fingers for scales) or do you use a more thumb-oriented modern technique?
Thank you! I do trend to use historical fingerings indeed, at least not using the thumb :)
Exquisite performance
Nice! Tolstoi mentions a Dussek sonata in 'War and Peace.'
Opus 15 no 7
Brava! Incredible performance of this incredible piece on an incredible instrument! Chapeau!
Incredible comment!

Best dulcian playing I've ever heard.
imma put this over the coltrane changes lol
Ok wow I'm blown away by the musicianship of this duo. Also didn't realize dulcian is early music saxophone dannng
I can hear the moderator(double moderator?) , is Basson also added?
Elegantly done!
On this Forte Piano 🎹 it seems that Beethoven himself were playing his last Sonata. Dear Olga you really are inmersed in Bonn most beloved son. Большое спасибо
OMG that Forte piano, and of course who plays it have taken me to other dimension with the last Beethoven piano sonata. There's something quite different from other interpretations that moves my feelings some where "over the rainbow". Dear Olga I must give you very many congratulations: this is really an outstanding performance. Большое спасибо.
Спасибо, Ольга. Сонаты Бетховена слышны более достоверными в том, что Фортепиано поздравления!
Really wonderful performance. Just the right combination of precision + freedom. I think it’s one of his four best sonatas. I hope you continue to bring his music to the public.
Thank you! Great that you appreciate Dussek’s wonderful music :)
Спасибо, Ольга, все ваши очень красивые спектакли.
Love a lot the rare but exquisite sound of that Forte piano 🎹. For some instants seems like strings being fingered. Besides you play beautiful. Много благодати. Отличный пианист.
Thank you!!
@@olgapashchenko5091 and, when I listen your version of 32nd Beethoven Sonata at Forte Piano, I said to myself : no more Brendel, no more Barenboim, no more Kissin, no more even Arrau... With Ольга I do not need to listen but hers. I sincerely admire you!!
Congratulations, Olga! 💐👏
AMAZING!!!!
Sublime 🙏 Thanks Olga, you are such amazing musician, so clever, so deep knowledge. Exquisite performances at the most delightful, sophisticate and brillant level probably you will ever enjoyed.
Thank you so much!!!
Vera Nice to hear just before falling asleep.
Heel erg bedankt. Prachtig.
BRAVISSIMO!
Fantastic playing! I guess the accompanist's mom took the video...
I like the sound of these old instruments better
This piece is outstanding. Thank you so much for sharing!
Eccellente!!
So this is where sax jazz music comes from.
This is music from Western Europe, whereas jazz descended from African music that the slaves brought with them to America. Quite different roots.
@@pearspeedruns What absolute nonsense. Have you ever listened to African music? The melodies and harmonies, and the instruments used, in jazz are European. Only the rhythms are African. The fact that jazz is primarily improvisational may have its roots in Africa, but Western classical music also made extensive use of improvisation up to the end of the 18th century. European folk music, e.g. Irish and Scottish folk music, is also improvisational, and the black slaves in the American South would have been familiar with it, as it gave rise to Bluegrass and other white American music styles. Jazz is a truly multicultural art form.
Olga seems too little known outside the Netherlands - perhaps they love her too much and try to hide her! I think these static one-camera videos which are most of hers with no shots of her hands really sell her short. Yet the sound and photography for the Soler Fandango video (the one with the trains behind!) are the best I have ever seen for a harpsichord. Quite jolting. That one video shows just how remarkable she is. Also she talks well in one version. I just saw Tine Thing Hesseth at Carnegie Hall and after she was done with 2 concertos she took the microphone and explained something, and she apparently does that now after all performances. (She also had bare feet! A golden gown and bare feet. Audience loved that also.) By the way the most searched Scarlatti piece I believe is his Fandango. Might she...?!
I love her face..she has charisma....
