iirc (I just got the game not too long ago and came across this ship while looking at some of the interesting loadouts people use for some inspiration for my own) the Ziggurat also negates the usual benefits of running with your transponders off. Everyone will recognize you as that one dude who yoinked secret technology. Smuggling with it in your fleet would be ill-advised.
i remember that voice from dota warcraft mod. also more kills makes you faster and enemy slower.

I love this ship and it is great for how it can push far above it's weight class. Would be curious to see a video on the wolf. As it is one of my favorite frigates and I feel like I can do alot with it early game as long as I single out targets. Great video.
Ngl, I only pick ships that looks cool or feels like a battleship. The hammerhead, eagle, the one destroyer with a heavy ballistic mount, mule and onslaught are my go to ships. I do assign other capitals and stuff but I always pilot a onslaught while also never leaving my fleet empty of any ship that I just mentioned above.

Nah, the ziggurat actually needs to be buffed to the state you face it in the story. I don't even bother using it since it's so weak in comparison and the fact that phase ships annoy me with slow motion sickness.
The the thing with front shield is that you DO NOT want to pair it with a ship with only front facing weapons (too easy to flank). The moto is this: If you got turrets - go with front shields If most are hardpoint - get omni or say goodbye to your engines

It's hull/armor is bad tho. Because of this you need to be careful about which main energy weapon you give it so it has decent range with manageable flux gen
I now see a new way to build ships, weapons, and hullmods first, vent, and capacity second.
@@singularitytr1550 depends sometimes you will need to overflux a little bit to destroy enemy ships faster before performance peak drops too much
its a shame that in this game there is still not a viable only armor build yet. armor runs out fast, shields never, i'd make a mod for ships to actually boost armor by big % so you can forget about shields and focus on loading best weapons and have high armor to make a ship durable for prolonged battle, quite balanced to a shielded one. maybe just counter it with speed penalty .. but yeah, there is still no viable armored ship build, invictus does not count, it has high starting armor and is meant to be heavily escorted
Lore-wise it makes sense tho, low-tech is ancient tech with big dakka,bulky armour and cheap to produce , newer polities in the sector circumvebted that with alternative ship systems that are more expensive but helps them to get the upper hands in fights, flanking low tech fleets and wearing them down and whatnot

Personal Opinion Frigates: Monitor This Tank just like to eat EVERY projectile in the game, and leave with 0 flux. Destroyer: Harbringer Personally my flagship, it easily destroys destroyers, cruiser, and sometimes even capitals with ease, and if i can't do it on my own, i just use the Overload ability to turn off the shield of important/surrounded enemy. The only weakness here is this ship gets surrounded, you're basically dead. Cruiser: Idk Never really tried most cruisers, though i do like gryphons, Missiles rated E for Everyone. Capital: INVICTUS Big Dakka with Big Armor, what's not to like? Oh right. My monthly credits. Jokes aside, this Big ship contends for Tankiest ship, Paragon may be best for shields, but this thing is uncontested in armor, This ship is a One Ship Armada, even more so if you add Auxiliary Thrusters. Add with Combat Extended Elite, and you're unkillable without reapers/Massive frag dmg. I usually use Mjolnirs, but you can also use a mixture of Mark XI and Hephateus for shield and armor dmg. Also the Vast Hangars means adding Converted Hangars adds two, which is best used for interceptors like Wasps or Sparks.
ballistic rangefinder have little place in that build. so do flux distributor, if vents are not maxed
I believe its pretty counterbalanced by the fact that you are always recognised if you have it in your fleet, even with transponder off

Falcon Yeah, it's glass cannon but with lower dp cost those can provide great laser support due to higher amounts of units at battlefield, or overload enemies PD systems with rockets. 3. Gryphon. What can i say, i love rockets. Barrage of rockets goes brrrrrrrrrr 4. That's my personal, Conquest. Well rounded, nimble, capable to fill most of the battle roles, after the ziggurat indeed, yet still I would put here some [redacted] battleship too, but since it's cannot be piloted without cores or by player without perk - nah

Very nice composition. Tempest is probably my favorite frigate, but i have to admit that Omen is invaluable assest in your fleet. Destroyers i cannot say as i basically never use them, however cruisers? As much as we love the 7 reapers id take the Versatility of an Aurora over Eradicator any day of the week. Paragon supremacy of course.
It is an end game reward, of course it'll be powerful. And its not "break the game" like you said, because at the end game you have plethora of choice to break the game.

i cant ever seem to adopt armor only builds, they are still not viable to me. i'd rather have infinite shield than temporal armor that doesnt even last much for prolonged fights... we need a ship mod to increase armor by huge % with speed penalty, heavy armor has a specific number and other mods have little % to be viable..
Fr I have a few Shuntslaughts and Anti-EMP hull mods and skills are a must for me especially when facing Remnants.
@@kaiserdragon33 Once you hit 3k armor and the skill that increases armor's max mitigation by 5% nothing actually damages you anymore without prolonged fire except torpedoes like the Reaper. Which is why my favorite armor-Onslaught build is an elite PD kill officer then loading the onslaught with dual/heavy MGs, you have all point defense in all directions that is extremely flux efficient to boot. The simulator paragon can't do jack shit to it before it gets popped.

My fleet in every playthrough: monitor frigate (tanker shield and two DP less than Tempest), either Eradicator or Eagle cruiser, but I always pilot Retribution battlecruiser. If you want defeat me, go wolf pack tactic with a bunch of scarab.
I play without S mods, and without piloting. Also I play with large battles. Sunder would melt when the 3rd Legion flanks it.
I mean, if the sunder is surrounded by 3 legions it was probably in a bad position to begin with A destroyer vs 3 capital ships? Not even a fair fight
@@oskarcarrasco6298 in massive fights there’s not much space to position anything well and there’s hundreds of floating wrecks of rubble laying around too. A lot of it boils down to how many caps are holding a battle line. Using the debris of defeated capitalships to hide to reduce flux.
I tried HSA variant with tachion and 2 phase lances. It's funny to overload ships in 1 shot, but it's really frustrating against ordos, as you can't outrun brilliant( also probably the only ship that curse salamander, as one hit in engines and you're gone.
My Ziggy build was 6 antimatter blasters for the small slots, 4 sabots for the medium slots, and 2 autopulse lasers in the large slots, max out your capacitors over vents, and grab expanded mags (and maybe missile racks, it's been a while since I've played so I don't remember the full build). Game plan was simple, phase over to the biggest enemy ship, unphase at close to point blank range with autopulse laesrs on auto-fire, launch a full volley of sabots to instantly overload their shields, then a full volley of antimatter blasters to instantly kill them. If they still have a sliver of HP you can stay unphased for a bit longer to finish them with autopulse. Then phase out and get to somewhere safe to recharge your flux and repeat. This all takes place over the course of 1 second or so, so weapons like the tachyon lance aren't viable because they take too long to finish firing.

my biggest criticism of the Sunder is that it's very much a glass cannon.
the ziggurat is fine, it's the end reward of a difficult quest and it makes sense that it's powerful, it earns the low DP by being hard to get
