    I had UE7s for years, Andyi always felt like there was something wrong with me because I couldn’t catch the nuance of guitar parts when rehearsing. When I switched to Unitys, I could hear all of those details super clear, so I’m starting to wonder now if I was cranking the UEs high enough for that detail to come through. Love these videos!

      @@Viewer13128we started with Azla Xelastec and Spinfits, yeah. Always on the hunt for tips that pair well not just sonically but for fit seal and comfort on stage. The sonicfoam offered a pretty incredible seal for stage use, and the Tangzu tips are so great if you prefer a little more high feq response or openess, also so comfy and easy to get in and out. We all have our preferences in all sorts of contexts. We offer what we believe to be two amazing choices that offer differing experiences. "Putting them in, listening to a song I've heard a thousand times and really feeling like I'm actually in the room with the artist. That's the character that matters to me. Whether it's hearing the nature of the guitar and the strings in the guitar and just little characters of it that just feel so real, like the guitar is right in front of me. Or, hearing the space that the artist is singing in, not just hearing the microphone but getting that little touch of the room that they're in or hearing a delay where you can actually hear the delay going off into the distance. Where, where, maybe you've never even noticed there was a delay on the voice and you hear the throw just diffusing off into space. It's those things that make me feel like I'm in the studio where they created it and I can actually get the imagery like I'm there. That's how to me, like I know that you've found it." I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @Blakeoffire
    @Blakeoffire 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Wonderfully conveyed 👌 My admiration for your work and what you create/produce just doubled 😊 Explaining how sounds have character just instantly resonated with me... I was a classically trained pianist from a very young age (studied under the Royal Conservatory Program until I was 16) and I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn/understand/feel the piano through a gorgeous, dark-wood Canadian-made (Toronto) 1899 Mason & Risch upright that my mum had inherited after her grandma passed... From a very young age, I was able to identify and 'feel' how my/our piano felt compared to others - this was how I connected and fully understood the character of my piano. NOTHING else played like it. Throughout the '90s and 2000s I worked in Music Distribution here in Vancouver and my life-long love for music increased with every year being exposed to new music and styles that also conveyed their own bespoke character and nuances - didn't matter if it was electronic breakbeat, old jazz recordings, noise punk, progressive metal or Aussie indie-pop - I yearned to find that bespoke character within the recordings through speakers or headphones.... It wasn't until I discovered IEMs (unfortunately, a set of rather expensive ones that were WAY off budget for me to actually own) that I finally found something that instantly brought tears of joy to myself... I had finally found a device that was resonating my love for music within my actual soul. I was physically dancing and smiling and crying. Since then (about 6 years ago) I still haven't really found an IEM (within my limited life budget) that has re-created that fuzzy, rush of feeling I miss so much. Cheers from Vancouver... I VERY much look forward to the day when I can hear (or own, preferably) a set that you've poured your heart and soul into, to find/tap into that elusive, bespoke character once again.

    From my experience, look at the number of bore tubes (on chifi) to figure out how the crossover is working. Usually you will find 3 and sometimes 4. The manufactures 'stack' drivers per bore tube/xover and while this will influence tuning it won't give you 'more' . Whatever more means.

    very nice. I have to ask: where is the 8k peak that most common Chinese couplers produce?

    • @plungeaudio
      @plungeaudio 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The TM2 is an ear simulator, so it mimics the natural dampening of the ear. The Chinese 7-11 couplers are decent enough tools, but most certainly not a professional tool for design. A 2cc coupler has never been good for me in design. I prefer a 0.4cc coupler to get (what I believe) is a slightly more accurate representation of real ear measurements. But, again, I use those tools just in design, because I've learned how they translate into real world experience. Industry standard measurements I send to California for B&K head measurements etc.

    • @plungeaudio

      Since our first priority was to make the product as robust and durable as possible, we stuck with the same material for the faceplates that we use for the shells and case. This resulted in our options for faceplate customization being extremely limited, which was a tradeoff we felt was worth making. That said, we've always got our eyes on new methods and technology that could help us offer more customization on that front, and we'll excitedly announce future strides if the time comes!
