Recently fitted 2'inch 2 box Stainless Jetex exhaust onto my 2.0 8v MK2. No cat. *Listen with headphones/decent speakers* Still needs fitting adjustments.

Just a reference video, showing what happens when your throttle position sensor isn't working/plugged in (I figured this out shortly after ending the video). Car is a 92 MK2 Golf with a 2E running on Digifant. When the TPS is unplugged/faulty the RPM wanders up and down upon start-up, originally making me think the ISV was at fault. People saying 20psi is too much clearly know zilch about tuning diesels and its shows. Sounds awesome mate, id love to put an FT in my HZJ79 once the old 1HZ gives up the ghost 😂
The HZ will probably outlast anything else haha

Hey man, I got the muffler recently and I have no idea how to install it. Did you do it by yourself or did you have to go to a exhaust specialist to do it?

It can literally only be the moving parts if your clutch... inside the bell housing. The clutch slave cilinder expands hydraulically and pushes on a metal fork which guides the pilot bearing to press on the clutch plate. There's probably dust on the ball joint between the cilinder and the indent in the metal fork.
I have to say that you sold me on this exhaust and it is really great. Easy install. Not too loud with the baffle in. I took the baffle out for the track and it is awesome.

@@MK2ryana89 too much for the engine to take if you want it to last. It is over-engineered but not designed to go that far.

@@MK2ryana89 good on him. But I'd be very careful not to press the pedal too hard if I had 20 psi on my turbo. Last thing you want is a cooked motor in the bush.
@@og8k haha mate, there’s people running mid 30psi out of these with no issues. These motors in a marine application can produce ridiculous figures for their age. A well set up 1hdft running 20psi is extremely reliable
Mine does the same thing but the idle isn't as ruff. When i unplug the tps nothing changes. The throttle response is bad and also when I rev the engine and release the throttle the revs go dow very slowly like if I was holding the throttle.

@@MK2ryana89 Thanks Andy, I have a 70 series Prado in the UK with a 2.4. I really want a 4.2 six. Yours is the ideal engine. I get about 11L/100km if I nurse it and keep it on the motorway. 14.5L is about the average of mine so that is the decision made!
70 series Prado's are awesome! Not very common over here. 1HD-FTE, 1HD-FT or 1HD-T would be great in a 70 Prado.
@@MK2ryana89 Mine is a Japanese import in the UK, getting really rare now as they never sold them here. It is a tight squeeze as the nose is shorter but it can be done.

Hehe im 17 and i have a 06 100 series with a 1hd fte...but instead of off road its focused for grip so... it has upgrades for grip and track....yeahh

Sounds so good, love the vid despite the sound sync issue. Have you turned up the pump at all? Seems quite loaded when cold revved haha. But not a bad thing
Cheers man :), pump and injectors where rebuilt/modified to DC3 spec by Diesel Central. It's currently tuned for engine run in/break in, sooo, its a slug haha
@@MK2ryana89 Sounds very nice. "Slug", is that too much fuel? What I should've said was "very grey" when cold hahaha
FT's are bit of a sooty engine when cold or putting around. They clean up once on boost/being worked hard.

Unsure, they were rebuilt and modified to the DC3 spec.

They’re an awesome engine. If you can find a 1HDFT, (or even better a FTE) it’s well worth it :)

G'day, this is an older 80 series. But it'll cruise happily at 100km/h (62m/h), faster if your prepared to use more fuel.

It's a very well used Grunter Extreme.
I expected the grunter extreme turbo to start building up boost earlier than 2000 rpm
