Thanks for your advice on seasonal fishing I'm not religious but I agree fully. I will like to suggest that we start leaving our pipes on the piers. Fishermen are by their nature patient determined and methodical, and can achieve anything with these atributes. Let's enhanced the sharing in our community and enhance the spirit of fishing. If we leave our pipes on the piers we will see that there aer more pipes than what are needed. I will like to be Abel to leave my rod holder on the pier. For the next man to use. If we all do this we will see that there is no need to take a nother man's things. A desperate man once took some bait , the reality is, I will gladly share hooks traces bait with anyone for the privilege of fishing with them in there spot. The knowledge is worth more than gold. Let us who can uplift those who have less. Certainly when it comes to knowledge I am one who has less and can be uplifted by those w have more. Regarding the way you and I tie the figure 8 some call it a slip knot(hang man). I'm in gauteng and watch more videos than I fish also carp and fly knots are not as demanding as saltwater knots. Most charts say a uin knot is stronger but t have seen uni and clinch knots being pulled loose, is it perhaps because people don't test their knots before use? I mean tests show uni to be a stronger knot. I have never seen a slip knot get pulled, boat men also seem to prefer a slip knot. Your video on traces was excellent most would have made 6 videos out of this, i think it's great that you keep it concise. I'm still learning and am going to try fresh water fly and bass today, carp fishing has also changed tremendously since I was a youngster. Keep making videos you are one of the best priestess probably as your spirit...

Good evening. Great advice my brother. Humility is the key to true success. Sadly humility is what's missing amongst many in current times. I too miss Tony. Know Tony from the old Taxi days, being 1 of the old town boys myself. Tony, Feroz (ex Clairwood...lives on the beach in the past 20 years) and I fished a lot together. Also fished a lot with Yunus Khan (Legend of Merebank, Raj Mahal Road.) Being a son of the "Old Legends of the West" myself, learning fishing there from my late dad Gaff and his fishing crew, all old West Legends, Razack, Raj, Ghosty, Dummy, Humpy, Puckey, Aziz and too many others to name I can relate to everything you have stated. Too much to say my brother. We will hopefully chat 1 day. I might have fished with you as well over the years...very familiar face. You are a good man.
