This is my personal channel. I'm tending towards outdoor videos with good cinematography - but it all takes time to learn. I make videos as a hobby and enjoy immensely the whole process: Planning, filming, storytelling, editing...
Previously, I used to post mostly random stuff - videos I made, Rubik's cube tutorials...

Wild camping in Zürich, Switzerland
Hiking from one side of Zürich (Uetliberg), down and crossing the City, a forest (where the Zoo is), another smaller town (Wallisellen) and finally reaching an observation tower in the Hardwald forest, next to the airport (hence the background noise)
I wanted to do this video for a while, where instead of the peace and quiet of mountains, you get to experience how insanely loud CARS make a city. Because let's be honest, cars are much louder than trams and buses. Zürich is my favourite city and I'm happy to have finally captured its beauty on camera.
About the Audio: I had to normalise the audio (keeping quiet parts quieter than loud clips) but I couldn't do justice to how LOUD cars would be, and even sometimes I had to wait for cars to leave so I could capture other ambient noises.

A bit different of my usual content, without music, from November 2022. Let me know what you think (and if I should add. music to it) In this video, I hike up a very steep ridge, with very little trails uphill: most of it are stairs, which are a real killer. If you don't see me eating is because there was nothing to show. I carried all of my food, but without any stove it was mostly oats, energ...
Kungsleden - Hiking the last wilderness of Sweden
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In September 2022, I hiked south to north (Hemavan - Abisko) the full length of the Kungsleden, the famous King's Trail in Sweden. I started when everything was green, and finished where all the vegetation had the autumn colours. The first week I hiked it with Céline, my best friend. The Kungsleden starts in Hemavan and crosses several vegetation areas, the largest birch tree forests in Europe,...

Watch Day 1 first - th-cam.com/video/skcAsl8t9Jo/w-d-xo.html Hike (Day 2) After waking up from a very very cold night (maybe around -10C, to which I wasn't fully prepared) the sun came out, which was a blessing because it helped me warm up and dry my things. In terms of distance, it was shorter than day one, because the paths were so steep: From 3000m down to 1400m above sea level, to the incre...

Q: What food did you bring? A: I might do a small video about it, but I basically bring normal food. It's a bit of a myth that it's "too heavy": oats, rice, olive/coconut oil and nuts (lots of them) provide a very balanced diet of protein/carbs/fats that you need at a very good calories/gram ratio, and it also happens to be the cheapest things you buy at the supermarket. To make all this edible...

Please consider subscribing if you liked the video. It's a great motivation for me! About the video: This time I went with some friends on a much shorter camping trip, but I decided to make a more complete story. I hope you like this new style. All the aerial shots (with the drone) are 2.7K at 60fps. Sorry to say, the rest of the video isn't.

Hiking and wild camping alone in Glarus, Switzerland

A hike 2000m up the mountains in the Glarus canton of Switzerland. 13-15 September 2019. Friday (after work) - 1300m up (450 - 1800). Had to move the tent once because cows were aggressive and I wasn't feeling safe. Saturday - Hiked up to 2400 and stayed above 2000m. Pitched my tent at 2040m. Sunday - Walked up and hiked down to the village. 1600m down in 3h. Knees are fine, but leg muscles wer...
awesome video!!!! I really enjoyed it.
Beautiful ❤
Hello, sir I am an online social course manager do you have an effective strategy you care about we discuss?
I walked the part Abisko - Nikkaloukta in 24-30 June, that was amazing, so tiring too! Can appreciate how challenging is walking all Kungsleden
Bald auch da :)
is camping allowed?
Hello Nico! This is a fantastic video. I learnt of your channel from seeing Aaron Jack's video on the Kungsleden. I planned to go to a week to Abisko and make day trips, but I'm really thinking about doing the Kungsleden. I am worried because I never camped like this, I have only done long day hikes. How did you prepare for the trip? By the way, I didn't know you can see the Aurora Borealis in September! I saw it once in Reykjavik in last December. And sorry for all the questions, but how did you keep your camera safe from water? I want to take my camera too. Thanks a lot Ron
this video is so beautiful and inspiring
Your hiking videos are so captivating...I love them.
Thank you Paul! We could do one together Apropó, did you see my email from two weeks ago? ❤️
What a beautiful place, outstanding upload my friend! Absolutely stunning scenery! Switzerland is breathtaking!
It really is!
Beautiful work!
Thank you very much Matthijs!
Beautiful video! Always love hiking around in the Zermatt area, but ihavent seen the golf course :) Look forward in following your journey!
Thank you delina! There's one or two newer videos (th-cam.com/video/oQJxZj897wk/w-d-xo.html) :)
Awesome. What season was it?
End of November. I recommend the full version, this is just a trailer :) th-cam.com/video/oQJxZj897wk/w-d-xo.html
Thank Henri9! I also find that without music is much better and I think i will continue the trend for the next videos. Your opinion matters a lot :)
nice work dude! keep up and you'll grow quickly up there with Kraig and Harmen:) i believe you will blow up soon
That's a wonderful compliment, thank you so much! I'm hoping to post 2-3 more this year, one from Japan before summer!
Amazing
Thank you Daniel! You can watch the full version, if you liked this one :) is only 10 minutes
@@NicoKupfer I do like it, would like to watch that

It's beautiful Nico! I didn't miss the music at all. So much effort has been put into this video, really beautiful!
Thank you so much Yvette! I'm looking forward to your South America bike videos and often times I miss the travel life and I wish I had the courage to also just quit and go about 😊 This video took a long time to make because I thought I didn't have all the needed takes (so I kept postponing it...), but somehow I think I did, I managed to stitch it together, and I think it turned out very beautiful! Greetings to both of you ❣
I been to this track in September 2023
Nice! Did you also get the cloud coverage in the evening? I had the feeling it happens daily...
i could watch this all day
I'm glad you liked it :) There will be two more coming before the summer, also without music
This brings me peace
More videos to come (after the Spring) probably also without music. I think I like the format!
What a beautiful presentation my friend. Landscapes are stunning.
Thank you so much. It's always good to hear feedback from fellow hikers 😊 It would have turned out much better if I had had shots as stunning as those you have in your channel. Good job on those videos too!

Whoo looks beautiful there. What date did you go there? Because of the snow fields ?
Hello Raymond! I think it was May :)
Thanks
One of the best Kungsleden videos I ever watched. Thanks!
Thank you so much! It was a lot of work :)
great video, thanks for taking the extra time of filming this for our entertainment, very inspiring. Great music too could you link to the playlist used in this? Grazie
What an amazing video Niko. Thanks for taking us with on your journey through that beautiful nature. Hope you will visit Sweden again and maybe try the St Olovs pilgrim trail that starts in eastern Sweden and finish in Norway. Its beautiful and I only did the last half of it :)
I learned swedish, I love Sweden and I've been several times already. So yeah, I'll be back and I've taken a note of the St Olovs trail! Tack så jättemycket!
Dear Nico, I love this video so much! It makes me very, very happy for some reason, it's exactly my vibe 💜 Keep doing what you're doing and I hope to see you soon for some beer or "es paa Pio"! 🤭
Wonderful movie
Beautiful. Big like for you
Big thanks

Beautiful video! I saw someone with a dog in your video; do you know if he had reindeer problems or other problems along the way; I would like to do it too with my dog in a tent and I'm looking for information. Thank you!
Be aware that this video shows a violation of the swedish law. Ripping bark of living trees is prohibited. If you have the slightest interest in nature preservation you should remove this part immediately as it encourages to follow your example.
Thank you Magnus, I wasn't aware
Expertly made, keep it up. Keeps my motivation high to permanently move to Sweden 🙂 I loved the shot at the end with the people you met. Live is all about the journey, never the destination.
Thank you for the lovely comment! Yes, and even if I forget names or faces, hiking 20 days without seeing a human wouldn't have had such an impact on me as it did crossing paths with familiar faces! :)
Exceptional video, bravo. Think our paths crossed briefly, shared a boat & bus maybe to Vakkotavare? I recognise the folks at the end montage. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Happy trails.
Thank you! Happy trails! :)
That is one of the best videos I have seen of this hike, really good. Initially I was wondering about narration but I think you have got a really good balance between your obvious skill with a camera and with a drone and your words. It's atmospheric and very watchable. Also very impressed (and quit jealous) with your small pack size! The only negative is the branch and bark, not the correct thing to do in either case.
I appreciate your comment about the camera skills, but I have done sooo many mistakes (many which you can't see because I had to delete the shots). We live and we learn, but still, thank you very much! I didn't bring many clothes (only merino thermals, and what I wear, plus two extra pairs of socks.) The pack was maybe 6kg, however add food (8-9kg) and filming equipment (which you don't see in any shot) and it's about 12kg... I don't know if my next long hike will also be filmed, those 2-3kg of base weight are really felt on the shoulders.... About the branch... thanks, I've been told several times, it was a stupid thing to do.
Bellissimo filmato Nico! Complimenti per la resistenza e e il coraggio. Musiche di commento azzecatissime
Grazie Giorgio, mi piace sentire che guardare il video ha stato una bella esperienza per te ;)
It hit my heart with pain seeing you ripping the bark from the birch and breaking branches from living trees. This is why kungsleden might be just as you self say….the last wilderness….so please dont’t
Hi Karin, birch trees are the main source of food in winter for many animals. I can understand that watching a video might give you the impression of my lack of respect for nature, but I know this does not hurt the tree. in return, birches get the nitrates produced by the animals that feed on it. read more here if you are interested www.google.ch/search?q=which+animal+eat+birch+bark+in+winter I will inform myself better for the next hike, I don’t want to offend anyone by posting these videos; on the contrary, I want people to enjoy them
Please do, follow the regulations for the nature reserves and the ”allemansrätten”. This is not a question about what birch bark can be used for or how this affects the tree, this is a regulation that you as a visitor and tourist is obliged to follow in order to protect the precious wilderness. The problem with the video is that it gives the impression for coming visitors that this is ok.
@@karinschoemaker5772 Thank you Karin, you are right. Several people have pointed this out and there's not much I can do about it now, except say I was a bit naïve. What "annoys" me is, I have seen this done over and over and because I made the video, I receive the criticism. But I think it's fair, because I'm the one showing what I did. I am overwhelmed by the reception this video has gotten, and didn't expect many people to watch it.
Pretty video, but please do not rip bark off a living tree. That leaves the tree in a horrible condition, often killing them. It's illegal and inconsiderate. Do not go to another country to ruin the local nature.
Thank you Maijalanas9, I guess that even though many animals feed on birch bark during winter, it still is inconsiderate for me to rip it of for fire.
@@NicoKupfer Thank you for your response. That is an utter misconception. They do not, not to that extent. I'm not sure you're grasping the severity of what you did there. It is considered extremely unacceptable. You posting a video in which you do that, makes other travelers seeing that video imagine that it is ok.
Thanks! Best drone shots i ever seen with Kungsleden.
Wow, thanks! I appreciate your comment 👏
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
@@NicoKupfer welcom it beautiful out there
You might want to look into some good hiking shoes, Merrell's are a great brand, pricey but a really good shoe.
I like the ones I have!
Ehrm...I don't think you're suppose to break branches from trees like that.
Hi Hanna, I only broke a couple of dead branches from trees, most of the firewood was collected from the ground.
@@NicoKupfer You're not suppose to break branches from trees like that. Living or dead. From the ground, yes. On trees, no. Please respect the rules of the area/country you visit.
Thank you for that beautiful And we appreciate that !👍🍀
So nice of you
Probably the most beautiful kungsleden video on youtube. Well done man!
Wow Stormyboy, thank you very much! I must admit I’m happy with the result and it was a lot of work!

As someone who also film and takes photos i have to say you did an amazing job man and maybe next year you see my video on here. Thanks for sharing your journey.
hello Rick! You are correct, I tried to catch the narrow window between mosquitoes and cold. My hike was 26th of August until 12th of September. Send me the video next year, I always read comments and would love to watch it!
