#shorts
I just wanted to get a little Tekken in before starting the day...
Context:
- This was a casual match I played very early in the morning
- it was a 5 bar when the game showed it to me
- I'd been waiting a while before taking it
I've censored the opponents name because I don't think they were in any way malicious. Wifi connections are inherently unstable and this one just tanked particularly hard.
Please stop playing competitive games over wifi, the netcode is bad enough as it is.

Qanba Drone: The Best Stick Under $100?
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In the sub-100 dollar price tier, the Qanba Drone is arguably the best out-of-the-box experience. With great features like a highly responsive board, tournament lockout, and a very well thought out layout. While the buttons and lever are clones, they're easily the best feeling clones I've used. For all that it only has a few downsides. It's platform support is limited to the PS3, PS4, and PC. T...
How to Add Button LEDs to the 8BitDo Arcade Stick
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I’ll cover a more advanced project on the 8BitDo Arcade Stick; adding LEDs to the buttons. This project isn’t strictly difficult at its core, the most basic approach only requires a small screwdriver, a pair of scissors, and some electrical tape to insulate wires. Other than the LED strip itself, of course. You can use the scissors to cut wires and strip insulation. Then just bind the wir...
Can you REALLY Build an Arcade Stick for $20?
มุมมอง 10K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Are you ready to add the power of ceiling fans and lube to your arcade experience? Want to understand what any of that’s about? Find out as I show you how to build a $20 DIY arcade stick. There’s plenty to be skeptical of in these extremely inexpensive DIY arcade kits that online retailers like Amazon are flooded with. But is the skepticism warranted? Or are we all missing out? In this video, I...
Sanwa JLF Perfected? Otto V5 Kit Installation
มุมมอง 17K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Sanwa’s JLF is a classic, and the standard for arcade quality joysticks. Renowned for its smooth and precise movement. Could it be better, though? That’s exactly what the Otto DIY V5 mod kit aims to do. The V5 kit upgrades multiple key functions of a joystick with extremely high-quality parts, including a pivot made of Teflon. In this video I’ll show how to install it, discuss its performance, ...
How Much Can You Mod An 8BitDo Arcade Stick??
มุมมอง 33K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello again, and thanks for coming back! 2023 Update: 8BitDo appears to have updated this model. The bottom screws are no longer torx/safety screws. There also doesn't seem to be glue on them anymore either. In this video I go over modding nearly everything in an 8BitDo Arcade Stick. In this video I’ll show you how to: - Get the case open - Change the gate on the default joystick - Swap the def...
8Bitdo Arcade Stick: Review and Gameplay

    I think the buttons should be as following-- Y - green X - blue B - yellow A - red This 8BitDo arcade stick is made for the Switch plus NES and SNES via the 8BitDo Bluetooth Retro Receivers using the Bluetooth mode on the 2.4G/BT switch... Oh, and you can also use the 8BitDo Ultimate software to create a custom profile such as -- Y X L ZL B A R ZR and... L X R ZL Y B A ZR

    It looks like they have the same kind of plates in there.. Do you think it's possible to add more plates to make it heavier? To me the stick isn't heavy enough as when really fast movements to escape dizzy and grabbed states it comes off the desk and bangs up and down on the desk a lot.

    how in the world did ou get the plate off so easily?!?!?! On mine, the screws have this plastic coating on the underside the gets caught in the bolts whenever i try to unscrew them and now i'm pretty sure i've stripped out all the screws....

      It's some type of loctite. In the past I've released it using nail polish remover to varying degrees of success, as it softens everything, including the plastic. I don't bother anymore and just get replica/compatible mounting plates on aliexpress.

So I spent the money and got him a nacon dijah and it came with a knock off jfl..and thr switches are broken. I need help I'm trying to find a pcb with good micro switches or a good new stick unit

    If you are willing to add one or, at most, two hours of additional work; and probably a couple dollars, you can get a clone Arduino micro and look for a code on Google for less, more consistent latency.

      @Hops_fgc ปีที่แล้ว

      In that situation, I don't think it matters. I made this video assuming someone is trying to play fighting games semi-seriously. Where the inconsistency of that board will regularly mess up combos. Or anything timing sensitive, really. Unless you already have all the tools and materials on hand. I think you'd be better off getting a couple Hori fighting stick minis and calling it a day. But for your use case this would be fine

    • @axMf3qTI
      @axMf3qTI ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hops_fgc Yeah I'm not going to use those boards you'll get a couple raspberry pico clones for under 10 euro, As for the case I have hardly no tools but I can use the laser cutter at the local library for the top and there some woodwork places where you can do your thing for a couple of euro's. Should be a fun project. Thanks for the info.

    Been doing a lot of research on cheap sticks the past few days. I am not a FGC player. I am a smash melee player playing a bit of SF6. I have used some 8bitdo stuff in the past and was amazed at the quality for the price. I actually recently pre-ordered the keyboard 8bitdo is releasing. I am really contemplating picking up this stick and modding the hell out of it.
