To be honest i love Welcome Home so much right now! I remember when it became popular i wasn't that big of an fan but now i absolutly love it! I'm even drawing my oc for it while i'm listening to this video! AND Btw, thank you for making this video because i learn something new about this fandom Also, i love your make up and sweter and room AND JUST EVERYTHING!

I think Elizabeth Afton was wasted potential and Circus Baby's whole plan the more you think about it the more dumb it sounds. Also Michael Afton despite knowingly being kidnapped by Circus Baby on the fourth night decided on the fifth night to follow Circus Baby's instructions like an idiot even though he knows Circus Baby has lied to him before and he has seen what has done to Ballora so I say the canon ending to Sister Location is just anticlimactic overall. The Private Room ending would have been the much better ending to the game if it was the canon ending because there wouldn't be as much confusion as there is in the Scooping Room ending. The only real major lore difference is that Michael Afton would still be alive and that's really it nothing major would've change in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator at all. Ennard still escaped in the Private Room ending so that makes the entirety of Circus Baby's harebrained scheme completely pointless narratively as Ennard still manages to escape in the Private Room ending and he would still become Molten Freddy one way or another in the next game.

I am not in this fandom I've been trying to learn more about it since i heard some distress invovling it. Seems Welcome Home is getting fhe same brush Voltron got. I am so sorry

When it came to discussions of the FNAF movie, the double standard was blatant. When Mike did bad things due to mental illness and trauma, people were sympathetic and uwu-fied him. When Vanessa did bad things due to mental illness and trauma, she was demonized. The misogyny is real.

Hold on, minor flaw- I think Dsaf had more revivals than fnaf. Lemme check- So William died from the springlocks, the fire 3x, and we'll count Princess Quest. And Michael came back once. That brings us to 6. Now looking at dsaf, we have 1 per every main phone guy (Since all of them are springlocked before becoming phone-heads) which is 1 Peter, 2 Steve, 3, Harry, 4 Jake, 5 Roger, 6 The hired Mascot employee that gets springlocked in dsaf 3, and then moving onto the others... Jack died 2x and came back, same with Dave. Henry came back once (I think) And that brings us to a total of 11 revivals. Not that this makes any difference at all (Dsaf still does have superior character writing) I just genuinely wanted to count how many out of boredom.

Dont you think i didnt catch how you added an "I love you" after Dave's dialogue. I honestly had to double-check it wasn't in the original for a second. You nearly got me. But yes, we all know he would've said that had Henry not interrupted. It wouldn't be the only ending in which him loving Jack would be mentioned.

I'm not entirely sure what Welcome Home is, since what I do know is from my friends character-related ramblings, but from what I can tell this is an incredibly well-researched and presented video! Well done!

As someone who’s experienced with fandoms (I’m talking I know what the “Milk Fic” is), seeing how messy the Welcome Home fandom got (and quickly) made me bite my nails for a bit there. I’m just glad it seems as if things are chilling out. But fandom aside, Welcome Home lowkey saved my life 😂

How is there already a retrospective? It feels like Welcome Home just got big yesterday.

Five Nights at Freddy's in my opinion had shat the bed real hard ever since the days of Five Nights at Freddy's 4. I sincerely believe that the FNaF series should've ended at the third game like it was supposed too. In my opinion the FNaF series has fallen off real hard story-wise at least and I honestly have no shame in saying that.

I don’t really see much Liminal Space as creepy or scary for the most part. However I can’t help but get some serious melancholy, especially when it comes to online liminality. Empty schools or stores is fine, possibly creepy, but they are just buildings. The real kicker is sense of humanity. I am mid Gen Z (still a grown man) so I didn’t get to experience a lot of this stuff in its prime but you can’t help but feel sad that a community or person is gone or perhaps you missed out on something. Liminality only really gets to me when it feels personal. I can live without a crowd in a mall but it just feels wrong to go to something like a chat room that hasn’t seen the light of day since 2005.

It is so funny how Dayshift 1 was y’know Dayshift but has evolved into being a actual decent plot, even if it’s drenched in the series silliness Cute outfit by the way

I got into Welcome Home very recently, so I managed to completely miss all of the "controversies" that made everyone hate the fandom. The best part about getting into the fandom late is that I can enjoy Welcome Home on its own without all of the hype. I can say that Welcome Home is genuinely one of the best and immersive horror ARGs I have ever seen next to Mystery Flesh Pit and you can tell just how much love Clown puts into these characters. Also, I was a child that lived through MLP:FIM, and I can personally attest from experience that Bronies were far more toxic and damaging to me than Welcome Home or even TADC.

im in the welcome home community. i have made alot of friends in the community, and im a minor, their is some horrible stuff in the community (NSFW stuff and "cringe" stuff) and i think that TADC is kinda falling into that, if i could tell you how many shipping videos i saw i could ramble about it FOR A YEAR.

I was honestly super confused when I started to be in the welcome home fandom and what seemed like all of the sudden there was a lot of talk about how messed up the welcome home fandom was. I pretty much only ever saw amazing fan art the entire time and that's still all I really see to this day. This doesn't negate the fact that there are specifically a lot of things that crossed the creator's boundaries, which is something I saw. And it just really sucked to see them very obviously stressed out from how chaotic things got. Welcome home is one of my favorite things. Literally everything about it is almost like it was made specifically for me lol. And honestly I love the fandom, which is filled with a bunch of super skilled and talented artists, as well as a BUNCH of people that will look at the chaos of what happened and call it out right then and there.

I was gonna make a video about this on my channel but I literally had no idea how to put into words and what you said here was exactly what I wanted to say and you worded everything beautifully. Welcome Home is a HUGE special interest for me. It’s the biggest hyperfixation I’ve ever had since my Yo Kai Watch hyperfixation and I’m literally so glad I don’t have the “ima enjoy this fandom while it lasts before people ruin it” mindset because I’m a YEAR into my WH fixation and I’m still enjoying it and I’m literally so SICK of these freaking people trying to demonize it because some unsavory people are acting horribly. Just enjoy the damn media and leave people alone and stop worrying about things

I think part of the reason DSaF works so well in having such a satisfying story is just it's dedication to actually ending, and working to make a proper conclusion. FNaF could have something similar, albeit not as satisfying just due to some things being left at the wayside, if it had properly finished at Pizza Sim or UCN. I had a big long ramble, but ultimately, it just boiled down to FNaF struggling to deal with legacy, because it can't let things die in any sense (except for some kids, I guess). (That aside, as a fellow phone lover I hope you're also excited about the Roger DLC for Dialtown. I can't wait to see the crew doing their best, even if Roger's best seems like a hot mess from the teasers <3)
