you cannot really do internal corners when using a folder, in fact it is very difficult to do it at all using machine, because you need to sew 60mm past the corner and the machine gets in the way. it is possible but often a two person job to man-handle the bit of the carpet you are not working on out of the way. Most people sew the last couple of inches by hand, it's tough on the fingers, but the neatest results. To get absolutely the best finish some people make the corner before offering it up to the corner, hand sewing the mitre(s) then using double sided tape to temporarily hold the binding tape in place before sewing.

for the customer that has been filmed here, the table has a cutout that the speedbinder sits in, and it sit on a shelf suspended below the table. to change the bobbin you can just lift the speedbinder up and onto the top of the table. This setup also means that the speedbinder can be taken out of the table, and used as a portable machine on the floor.

it uses the same heads that the hand tufting gun uses, the robot replicates the hands, using the same movements, just with much less shoulder ache.

sorry for the delay, I have only just found your comment. Do you mean the angle of the blade? there are two blades, the straight one was developed especially to cut wool yarn. millstek.com/product/type-96-cutting-blade-for-vml16-tufting-gun-801511-96-017m however they have since redeveloped the angled blade, making from hardened steel, making it stay sharper for longer, this can be used for all yarn, including wool. millstek.com/product/hardened-cutting-blade-for-vml16-tufting-gun-810510
