honestly you're not wrong uzumaki narrative is so weird, like theres an into-body-conclusion in a normal story, but this show completely ignores about it and adds up left to right things like what even is happening anymore, however eps 4 is soon, might as well end it. The only somewhat proper narrative is the women who lost her husband thats the only connection i see lmao

To be fair, plot isnt supposed to make sense. The original manga is a slow burn psychological horror. Its supposed to make you feel progressively more unsettled as things spiral out of control in the small town. But that still doesnt explain the terrible animation this episode and i completely agree with you on that. Junji Ito's really good at making things creepy and unsettling, and his art style is uniquely terrifying. Its hard to get right in animation, several of his other stories have been adapted and they dont convery the horror that well either. So i strongly recommend reading the manga, the man is an artistic genius and i really respect his work.

It was that serious. Shanks protects almost exclusively weak islands with no combatants, his name being feared is what keeps them safe. Word gets out you can attack shanks islands without any repercussions a lot of people are dying and/or getting sold

I watched this episode in the middle of the night and genuinely wasn't sure if I was just half asleep and not processing it right because it was so weird. My jaw was dropped for those three minutes as well. Your comparison of the episode to Rick and Morty was absolutely spot on -- I like Rick and Morty but I wasn't expecting it in Mob Psycho askdjhaksjh -- I will say I liked the weird trippy vibes but I was uncomfortable with the fact that they had that boy get wasted against his will and then wake up covered in kiss marks.

Real bro, but it'll always be my favorite show. It has a good storyline and good moments. I get that there are some pretty damn awkward moments and stuff but like you just got push through it.

The episode was pretty cozy and emotional, before the aliens showeed up and then went from a cute and friendly fever dream with the aliens there, to a complete madness with the last 3 minutes. I love when media is capable of making you feel so many different things in a shot amount of time
