Best restaurant im here right now its amazing 🎉❤
I like your editing. It is easy to understand, and the sushi looks delicious. Now I can plan my trip based on these restaurants! Thanks for sharing the info-!😉
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the kind words, and hope you have an excellent trip!
I feel experiencing Kaiten sushi is a must for anyone visiting Japan.
I certainly don't think it's a bad place to try it! ^_^
How long does this omakase meal last?
Good question! The duration is 90 minutes, with 20 minutes afterwards if you'd like to order extra.
The cost is perplexingly low. In the US, mid-tier sushi places charge twice and three times as much. Tamago at many US sushi restaurants is four times the cost of what is shown here.
Japan has been in a recession for like 30 years so the currency is weak so the prices start out lower and then conveyor belt sushi being so iconic has basically been optimized for this sole purpose. Like when McDonald's says they're replacing cashiers with computers, conveyor belt sushi has been doing that for decades. So weak currency and less workers and being an island, you get better locally sourced fish that you don't need to pay for transport
We really enjoyed Hama Sushi. My opinion is that, Kura Sushi and Sushiro are behind with taste and price of Hama Sushi. Can't wait to go there again. 😀
Glad you enjoyed, and hope you can enjoy it again soon!
@@your-japan-guide Sapporo is in the focus now. 😀
On point as always.very informative. I like this sort of video more than "MUST TRY SUSHI IN TOKYO?!?" when its like the only sushi place the creator has ever been to💀
Thanks so much! Simple information to help people reach their own decisions is all I'm aiming for. I certainly can't claim that there's a "MUST TRY" for anything in Japan, as different people ultimately like different things for all sorts of different reasons. All I can do is present my knowledge and experience, and hope others with similar questions or interests can find it useful. Again, greatly appreciate your kind words, and wishing you the best of travels! ^_^
did you make a list of the best 10-20 sushi places in Tokyo?
I haven't! And that'd be tough, as there's so many different sushi options in Tokyo - each with their own unique strengths and benefits. But I'll think about it! ^_^
love your channel and content
Much appreciated! Hope it can help!
ok I will go there thanks for the recommendation
do we have to make a reservation?
Correct, resservations are required!
😋😋😋 I love okonomiyaki. We have okonomiyaki in the states but it don’t taste good 😩.
Fully agreed! And okonomiyaki is one of those foods that's best in Japan, particularly in Osaka, in my humble opinion ^_^
They all look so good. Now Im craving for sushi.
I hope you can get some soon! ^_^
conveyor belt sushi is Value??? It's like starting from $5 a plate where I am for the shit kind. $8-9 for the best. THANKS BIDENOMICS!!!
We got an idiot here.
Do you think they stopped using the conveyor belt because of Covid/recent trends of people contaminating kaiten sushi?
I believe that's the case, in addition to their high sushi quality standards where they'd prefer to serve the fish fresh-to-order, instead of having it sit on the conveyor belt. The sushi here is intended to be eaten fresh!
I can picture living in Tokyo and getting off at the station to popping by for some quick sushi…what a dream!
Superb video production. I rarely comment with this kind of message, but I just had to. Hope your channel gains healthy momentum, both for you and conscious tourism :)
Thanks so much for the kind words! Very much appreciated. Hoping to make many more videos that can potentially aid people in their own Japan travels. Cheers ^_^
The music, color grading and lettering in your videos, pair very well with the manner of speaking of the narrator. Very well made choices.
Thanks so much for the kind words! ^_^
Love the narration!
Thanks for the kind words ^_^
I just got back from Japan and this is literally the same prices I saw at sit-down sushi conveyor restaurants as well.
Correct! This location actually has a conveyor-belt location in the same exact building. Though, the wait times for this kaiten location are often much higher than the standing counter location.
The price is actually the selling point. For the same quality, you pay $200 per person in any US city
Great point! Thanks for sharing ^_^ And while these prices might be great relative to US prices, this 'kaiten' location is still pricier relative to the average Japanese conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Though, their above average premium fish quality perhaps justifies these prices?
I love the style and content of your videos. They are informative and touch on lesser known topics with refreshing insight. Please keep the videos coming!
Thanks for the kind words! Just hope they can be useful - more to come soon!
I really love Showa Era restaurants ❤.This place is definitely on my to-go list. Thank you so much for the showing this establishment.
Thanks a ton for the input - really glad it could help. Yes, Showa Era establishments truly have a beautiful magic preserved in them. Hope you can visit someday!
You need to try Fuunji for their Tsukemen!
Great recommendation! It's up there as one of my favourites - the COSPA is quite excellent too!
This looks insane for that 4000 yen walk-in price! I'm thinking about monitoring the seats available online and go there last minute in my trip hehehe Does "walk-in" just mean without a reservation or this would be like arriving at the restaurant last minute? For the 11h30 session, for example, would I pay 4000 if I arrived there early and waited to see if there was space available? Thanks!
I think that's a solid idea and I hope it works out! Though, i'd recommend having a few backup spots in the area just in case! But that's correct. As far as I know, the walk-in price is exactly as you described - you'd pay 4,000 on the day if there was space available during the session. Good luck! ^_^
@@your-japan-guide Yeah, I think it is only viable because of the restaurant's location Also, really good content, keep it up!
Great video! Made the food look great and voice over is very professional
Thanks so much for the kind words. More to come soon! ^_^
thanks! im going to go to japan this week so ill try this place. i cant wait. cheers for the recommendation!
Excited for you! Hope you have an excellent trip ^_^
Great channel, im subscribing. Keep the affordable/best value recommendations coming!
Thanks so much for the kind words. More videos on the way!
The quality of the videos are great, make more please
Much appreciated! Much more to come!
Very informational, thanks
Thank you for sharing! We are hoping to make it to Tokyo in 2026. Everything looks so good! What do they use to make the sushi rice? Is there a particular brand I can get? Also. it appears to not be totally white, do they mix in a little soy sauce?
Hope you have a great trip when you make it out there! I'm not sure what specific type of sushi rice they use, but they might be willing to share if you ask! Great observation! Sushi rice generally involves a mixture of vinegar among a few other ingredients, but it varies from chef to chef. They use a darker vinegar here, which is why it doesn't appear totally white. They also add soy sauce to each piece individually using a brush, which is typical for higher-end sushi restaurants. It's nice because it saves you from having to dip it yourself ^_^
Added to my list for my first Tokyo trip in late January! can't wait.
So glad to hear! Hope you have an excellent time ^_^
Due in Tokyo 4th to 7th of October…just booked the evening of the 5th …thanks for your advice ..it’s our first visit to Tokyo and we wanted to try some high end sushi ..and thanks to your great film we will try the ginza counter experience..thank you again !

@@your-japan-guide Wow, I thought it sounded familiar. Thank you!
When reserving, the only omakase option is 27000 yen, is one able to change the order at the restaurant?
I believe every option on the link in the description is an omakase-style course. You are not able to change the order at the restaurant, though you may order additional piecesfor a-la-carte prices at the end of the meal if you're still hungry!
@@your-japan-guide ok, just booked a reservation. dinner is 27500 yen, and lunch omakase ranges from 8800 to 22000 yen.
Keep up the quality! Much love ❤
Much appreciated! ^_^
You are a rockstar. Love the voice over, the target audience that you go for. I’m coming for a month in September and some of October and have been using you as someone down to earth to plan some of what to do. I’ve done really nice omakase in the USA and trying to figure out what level of price I should go for
Thanks so much for the kind words! If you've done high-end omakase in the US, you might want to check out this restaurant's more extensive dinner courses, as these lunch courses are the most basic (albeit still top-tier). While they're highly rated across the Japanese restaurant review sites, they even have two locations in the US (both w/Michelin stars in the past). Though, I think it'd be worthwhile to try their high end courses right from their main location in Tokyo. I imagine their ingredient sourcing would be top-tier. Hope that helps and wishing you an excellent trip! ^ー^
So this is why they say there’s plenty of fish in the sea
