An old cabin my grandparents used to own in Canada. This was one of the many journeys to clean and maintain the property.

512 stroked mopar in a 69 roadrunner
มุมมอง 90K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Just a quick video of my freshly built 512 stroker. Motor and trans has been sold so I wanted to upload this video for the buyer and myself.

what happens when you don't change your oil!
Very nice. I have a 440 that’s .30 over that I would like to get it to a 512 and Pro Charger
.700 + lift ? ......Find the cam card ! I call bullshit !
Cam card, along with the engine are long gone (sold years ago). Lift on the intake was .690 with 1.6 rocker arms. That's all I remember.
Lil tappity tap tap taparoo
Beautiful ride😮
Haha😂
Very nice and thorough build!! Good video as well!
Beautiful engine man, love the details… and then I see the harness on the drivers side of the bay, and I’m like “WTF?”
Hey my brutha I'm pretty sure last time I checked ain't nobody gots aluminum main caps bro ...and BB chevy rods are 6.135 I think ...but for what you spent on all the head work you could have purchased an old set of worn out B-1s from Indy . but what do I know last Mopar I owned was some old 70 440-6 pack cuda with a 4 spd but if I was you I would have someone take another look at your timing and such it don't sound right to me ...
Cool!
i thought that you mite take care ofyour stroker abit more thatoil pan is discusting😮
You run only a breather ? No pcv ?
When I had the engine, there was a breather. The pcv system ran with the headers, to help scavenge the crank case pressure out. A vacuum pump would have been better but the system worked.
Man, oh MAN! You left out the BEST part! EVERYONE wants to HEAR how it sounds from the REAR! So simple... walk to the back of the car, and let us HEAR that Bad Boy! Sheesh!
The block girdle was a good idea sounds like a badass setup, like to build a 452 low deck 400 Mopar stroker for my 73 charger but my 440 runs well
Thanks for showing everybody you fine 69. I also have a 69 roadrunner bahama yellow in color. It has a 505 stroker engine in it built by Dick Landy, the professional drag racer from the 60' and 70's. I need to get mine back on the road.
Rear main seal leaking?
Herd your Comment about Dodge Hellcat come to Elko, Nevada and ny The Way! Bring Your Title! Engine Sounds to Quite for a 512, Waste of Money! You should of took Camera to Rear Exhaust Pipes? If I Win I'll sell that Roadrunner for some 50 Cal Ammo
Awesome car man!
My guy
What does a build like this run? Been itching to add more power to my 68 Satellite 383.
Cost wise, around 11 grand, and thats with me doing the full assembly.
OMG... only in America...or in Mexico....I would steal one... In front of the...Los lobos
That's something leaking in that manifold see the Middle where it's all wet
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated peoples gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car parts will be banned as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investment should be done any more in smokey cars.
I really enjoy reading these commits, that's a nice and neat combo.
That's a beast
Awesome 👍
Gorgeous engine build man.. Are you able to run it on pump gas with the 11:1 comp ratio? I just picked up my first 440 long block yesterday and I have something very similar in mind.. Cheers!!
Probably E85 not 93
Brand new leak on the valley pan but I have to say awesome engine and the man talking will fix it guaranteed
Appreciate that John. The man talking sold that engine a few years ago and has now switched over to a 5.7 hemi. I haven't begun the engine build yet but when I do, it will be documented.
@@randy22782 I will be looking forward to seeing your new machine and hearing it run. Have a great evening and I hope you're going to enjoy the rest of your week!
please take that fram filter off your beautiful engine lol
Love the color of the car!
What are the hoses for that come out of the valve cover and where do they connect to??
Those hoses are for the crankcase pressure. Instead of running a vacuum pump to remove the pressure, theirs a kit that used exhaust gas flow to suck the pressure out. It worked out really good.
@@randy22782 can you make a video on that set up and other cool tricks please??
The entire drive train has been gone for years so I cant exactly show how it works. I'm sure you can find videos of a similar system on TH-cam. Try searching for "exhaust crankcase ventilation kit".
I'm currently putting a 6.4 hemi/trans from 2015 charger into 1974 dart sport I got pics.....had the car years finally trying to get it where I want it
My current situation is building a forged 5.7 with boost to drop into the RR. Planning on getting started in 2021.
Bad ass weed... Ol Sarge...
MOPARS already had a long stroke.I’m envious.
I know a few dudes running solid rollers & dominators in their street cars, they run mid 9s but I consider them race cars with license plates
That car sounded like s*** then he put the transmission in gear just to turn it off it's probably pinging like hell and how the hell he goin run a 1.6 rocker on a big block hell the LS 7 Chevy small block is running a 1.7 rocker duh
Try a 1.7 rocker arm then check your piston to valve clearance because that don't sound right my brotha
1.6 were perfectly fine, piston to valve clearance was perfectly fine. Engine wasn't even fully tuned at the time of filming. What you are hearing is a nasty exhaust leak from the #2 header exhaust port. This engine is long gone (4 years now) and the current owner loves it! That's all that matters.
Nice job!
the motors pretty bad ass.i just hope that isnt an original 69 1/2 year block without the original 440 holly intake set up.that be a shame Sry to say.other wise..... 👍👍👍👍👍 barred ass mf street car my friend.
Show and tell ? Boring!, Take car out for a Damn Run.
Damn. Hell ya.
I wonder if Scott Brown is family with the Racer Brown? At Chrysler engineering we often used racer Brown. Note: in 71 we were trying to find engine for the low lead life and we built a 512cid . I loved how it ran but we didn't do further development, glad you did. :-)
What octane you running?
I ran 93 with no issue. At the time it still needed to be fully tuned and dyno'd to get the maximum results though.
Nice setup! Hey can you tell me how the max wedge ports differ from my 6 pack intake? I am considering upgrading heads and they mention that they work best with max wedge style intake ports. Thanks man.
The max wedge ports are much larger than standard ports (906 heads). Its basically a port job. If you switch the heads to a high flow cylinder head (victor, indy, B1, etc...), you can run a 6 pack set up with no real issue, it just restricts the air flow compared to a high rise single plane intake. Some of them may require adapter plates to use the 6 pack intake so i would check with compatibility first. 906 heads (6 pack port size) are ok but I would definitely upgrade to the wedge. That's just me.
Randy Latham Thanks for the reply. I was looking at possibly upgrading to the trickflow powerport 270’s I hate to abandon my six pack setup just yet. Any thoughts on those heads. I know you spent a good amount on your heads. Im gonna eventually do a build for an 8-71 roots.
Que horrible se escuchan las punterías!
NEVER SEE AN ENGINE LIKE THAT IN 69, THATS SICK POWER
Just what I needed to see.....Id love to see some dyno pulls from a setup like that.
It’s nice that’s for sure
You took a 440 crank and offset ground the rod journal to a 2.200 BBC journal you said 4.25 but you meant 4.025. I thought you could only get .090” more stroke? Is it a low deck 400 block with the bigger bore or a real RB tall deck 440?
Don't remember the actual stroke numbers but it was a true 440 block.
BAD TO THE BONE DUDE! That car is insanely awesome
Beautiful mopar!
