What did this job run the customary parts and labor? How much did it cost
Hmm. My 2019 1500 classic has a different looking fuel pump
LITTLE LIGHT WOULD BE APPRECIATED
Thanks man, beautiful video.
Should have torque the rotor bolts and the hub nut. Also maybe packed the bearings. For the inner, you could use a grease gun and a needle adapter and the outer by hand.🤷♂️😊
Using extenders on wheels is just dumb
Thank you for taking the time and effort to help us 🇺🇸 work and fix our jeeps 😊 the salvage yard wanted to buy my jeep for 200.00 dollars, but a mechanic shop wanted 2000.00 for labor only. I am disabled and 63 years old, i have accumulated all the parts and special tools for to complete the installation process for 500.00 dollars, thank you for helping me with knowing what I need to do...Willis Luckey ...👍👍👍⚡⚡⚡🏁🏁🏁🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
About to do mine
Grease is required in tue breakpa ds. And you installed the sensor on the wrong side; they get installed inside, the outer breakpad you can see to check it.
Thanks, I have a bit of a roaring noise that is really noticeable with the back seats down. Hoping it isn't the pinion bearing, I'll try this first.
What rear-end is this? Dana 35?
Thank you was able to do this with a jack, no to bad of a job 10/10 will do again
What would charge for this job thanx
Word to the wise; tighten the pinion shaft lock bolt before loosening it. That bolt tends to break upon removal. By tightening the bolt slightly any bond between the bolt, carrier, and pinion shaft will be reduced and then the bolt will be less likely to snap off into two pieces. Unless broken bolt screw extractions are your thing then this little pro tip may save time and money..
Spindle nut should be torqued to spec.
What size spindal socket is that
Heey little question, i need wheel bearings I had two options to buy the bearing you show in the video but i could also buy taper bearings. Are your bearing the only type fitted? I have a an 98 ZJ dana 35. Wich looked like the ones i need.
I enjoyed the video. I would say that when removing the ring, you should rotate which one you hit at each interval. Hitting one single location will work, it will also delaminate the edge of that hole you're hitting against unless using a soft tipped chisel which he did not attempt to use. Rotate the holes used to hit when removing the ring, it'll cause far less damage to the ring holes. It's not really an issue, just I prefer to do as little damage as possible during any repair.
Thank you so much for this video! I was able to do it in my driveway, 2hrs and 20 min! Thanks to all the details in this video.
One thing there’s a pressure relief valve right on the fuel rail
where exactly?
@@kryhtzon the fuel rail there’s a little screw on cap. Unscrew it and stick something in it to open that valve and then all the excess pressure will come out.
I wonder if mine might be leaky... it takes several key cycles for the pump to build up enough pressure to start my 4.0...and if you shut it down for even a minute, you have to repeat. Newer Bosch pump assembly even. Are these replaceable? Do you have to replace the whole rail?
Wonder if the springs in the rear could be sagging, causing the camber.
This video was incredibly helpful. I was a little nervous about doing brakes on my car, even though I've done dozens of brake jobs on commercial vehicles. For some reason, the fact that this is a Mercedes was somewhat intimidating. I will give props to Mercedes engineers for designing a system so easy to work on. Your step by step instructions, which included tool sizes gave me the confidence to attempt it. The front brakes took me about 2 hours total, during which I referenced this video several times. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and for making it clear and easy to understand.
when you put the diff on dont you get a bunch of silicone in there? and do the bearings not need to get packed with grease?
The bearing is lubricated from differential fluid down the axle tube
The silicone will squeeze out the side a little but not enough that it will get mixed with the gear oil. Just lay on enough to get a good seal and that's all
Excellent video. Dodge dealer wants $1025. to replace my fuel pump on my 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 with only 52,000 miles. They are telling me the pump cost $600 + 3 hrs. in labor. Thanks for this video it seems it took you 1hour 15mins. A new pump cost me less the $200. Rick Lake George, NY
Best of luck to you buddy, glad this video could help you out 👍🏼
👏👏
Do you have to replace the oil that spilled? If so, what kind? Thank you
It's best to check the fluid level in your axle after this job, yes. What's kind would vary on what your particular axle calls for.
Thank you for such a perfect video! You are very clear and explained every step
You would think they could come up with something better than all the plastic hose connectors. Breaking plastic crap.
Lazy idiot, should of un nipped pressure tube before mounting studs, zap gun is so vicious for your crimped tube hose fittings - no brains
😂Thanks for the comment my friend! 🤣
Mate, degrease the immediate area, that’s totally gross, all that grime is just fod in micro sized grit
Thank you
Best detailed video of the job I've seen in a while. Thank you!
I see so many people stumped on the stud spinning and say to hold it with channel locks there is a 5 mm Allen key hole in the middle of the bolt to hold it still it said simple literally takes almost no effort no channel locks or anything 🤣
Your absolutely right, there is a 5mm Alan key in the center of the stud. However, it does me no good what so ever what size it is when it strips right out at the first turn. Thanks for the comment though 😁
Shouldn't the bearing get packed with grease?
The bearing is lubricated from differential fluid down the axle tube.
How did u come to the conclusion the injector was bad
Esehuecodelpasadorescomketodigopssante
Stick a Allen wrench into the hole at the end of the bolt threads, don’t cut it! you could do more damage then good
Nicely worded and put together well. Thanks for the help. I will have to buy an "E" socket set, hmmm LOVE tools!!!
How many inch mentioned in the 5:8 min??
12 point, 1/4" closed end wrench
What rotors and pads are you using
Darn this won't work for me. didn't show or say what tool to take off the inner tie rod. video got confusing after that.
Please don't hammer with your hands, your carpal tunnel says that is what hammers are for - otherwise great video good info
I wish to replace my rear pinion in my differential
Really loved the video, one the best detailed I’ve seen. Juts quick question, what injectors did you use? Really would appreciate it.
Excellent video..
Hondas leak so much oil. Smh
Great video
Do you happen to have the 1st gen ridgeline torque specification for the inner tie rod (the portion of the inner tie rod that is under the bellows boot?)
Good stuff. You think the wheel spacers caused undue stress on that bearing? Im considering pushing mine out an 1". Thanks, stay well
Portrait phone shots simply don’t make it!!! Stavros
