I have my site plan at the correct coordinates, the site model file has 9 lots. sorry still confused on how to create a different project for each lot and then to link to the site model. do I use the acquire coord from the site model somehow?

i recently had to go through all my sheets and add all the building section marks to each view, there was a lot, I hid the inactive ones and adjusted the active sections. It took a while and it wasnt perfect, the symbols are kind of bulky too, so I think I also have to create something different as far as the symbol. But the typical one works so have not changed it. Would love to automate this process, I guess the section symbols would be best to take the extremity of the viewport

architecture grad student here! semester project is an adaptive reuse of a brick building, and I wanted to keep the traditional brickwork, especially around the openings, and this was the best/only one I could find for arched masonry openings!!!!!! Thank you!!!

Great video. first of all thanks for that. but i have a doubt. now both the files share a same coordinate system. but this coordinates are indicated by project base point the survey point is something else. when the shared coordinates are same it should be indicated by survey point. just confused.

Thank you for sharing this video! It makes this procedure easier to understand. I noticed that when you acquired the coordinates from the CAD file the Survey Point moved off of the screen. I assume that it moved to the UCS origin in the AutoCAD file.

This is far easier if your civil or survey person has set a coordinate zone to the file. After that its just brining in the file center to center unless you want to line it up to the building footprint. Even then its pretty simple

Is there a way to get Revit to include the edge of floors walls and ceilings in room elevations. Room elevations are really sections, and to include that good stuff in room elevation sheets gives so much more useful info. It seems as though the original tool was created by non architects. Everyone expects room elevations now as Revit makes them.
