How did you get it in the hole?!?!?! How much of the engine was assembled when you re installed it. I am struggling to figure out how i am suposed to re-instal the engine

A phazer and an exciter are the exact same frame except the width of the front suspension. The vmax is the same frame as the exciter. Just food for thought. The vmax 4 is the only one thats different. There aluminum.

Most of the grim is from the water that is either in the hull or sucked up into the system for cooling. You have no control over the quality of the water you bring in. Lots of muck in the water intake. Then mix all that with oil and other stuff. This is not just with yamahas.

Did you build the intake because the brake booster was in the way of for the turbo?

big fan of the 4200 v ive had 5 trb still have the 02 i bought new 22 yrs ago ,nothing but standard maintainance and a water pump in 160k it shoud really cook the tires on the square

Any regrets switching to this specific style finger throttle? I'm about to do the same mod on my 05 RMK 700. Can't stomach 300+ for a Munster kit. $30 for the new style throttle and adapter exactly like yours, $15 for a hand protector mount I can make a throttle guard with. Under 50 fits the cheap bill to try something I might not love (edit: and can't try until next season).

Hey there from another Michigan TH-camr! Nice build! You mentioned the vacuum booster port going to the intake. I don’t know the answer but food for thought - would the vacuum be greater on the intake side of the turbo? Would the vacuum at idle be enough stored vacuum to keep the brakes happy all the time?

Why not just swap a 4l80 or 4l60 to prevent all the issues with the bell housing not mating to the engine properly?

Any chance you still offer the files? I’ll pay. Also did you make a file for the rails themselves?

I'm guessing they deleted the oil injection if the bottle is gone and they just ran pre mix... Did you really just put gas in it? You need to mix oil in it!! lol Luck you got it for free. Might be toast now after running it without oil.

Reminds me of my younger more carefree days when we used to take old beater sleds like arctic cat thundercat 1050cc and turn them into rockets literally, we would rip across the ice at full tilt, no brakes just hope there's an embankment to stop you at the end of the run. Good times evading tyrants, and even funnier is watching them scramble to get us but they failed every time hahahaha.

Wow, those clamps are overkill, for sure. I use clamps like that for motorcycle exhausts. Bummer about the wrong tube.

My guess is the mystery hose is for a vaccum guage to balance,synch and tuning of the carbs.Is it "Y" branched and running to the 2 brass ports on the top of both carbs?? I know I am a few yrs.late to the party here with my comment.😅
