Just finished reading this book. And well put I did feel like the book was a bit of a give away right from the get go. But I did still Engoy it. And always did like the artwork as a kid. And it's a good Brendan Doorman version too

This was the first and final Goosebumps book I bought. Could never get myself to read all of it. The bit I did was really nice.

I read this one once, it's ok but not rereadable. I'll admit the plot doesn't entice me. The ending of the story is just frivolous.

(Spoilers) I think the ending let a lot unexplained, like why do the cats do the same thing they did before they died? Just felt like a worse cry of the cat. 5/10

Dude you are a hundred percent right two years ago I fell in love with this book and never even heard of TLZ from Rod Serling but now 2024 Ive been learning from Rod and its insane how many call backs he has I mean I feel everything I watch it originates from him his ideas the movies they make today even these goosebumps book I catch myself like "I think ive seen this before' come to find out "hey they took this concept from TLZ" but it was so weird I can call back to the day I first found this book I was working and needed something in the background and I put the audio book on and I swear I could relate I could feel I was in it I visualized everything it talked about as if it were already recorded for an episode so creepy It seemed so real.

I just read this one and the twist at the ending appalled me. Hannah died by the house fire five years ago. She was so obsessed that Danny and his family were ghosts.

I saw this episodes many times and it’s pretty good not in top best or worst list but still.. I give it a 4/5. Also where did you get the book I have been looking all over the internet for the book. I also learned that in October of this year there going to do another reprint but with a different cover

Wanna know what Goosebumps should’ve had? An animated series aimed towards children, like a Saturday Morning type of thing, its a damn shame that after such success Goosebumps built up in the last decade, THIS is what we’re left with. Me and a good friend who isn’t even into Goosebumps but is into cartoons even agreed that something like Nickelodeon should make a Goosebumps animated cartoon series.

I absolutely agree with you on the cemetery part. That scene(consisting of 15-20 pages) literally revived the book for the most part. Cuz after slappy died, he contributed almost nothing to the story. It was just Shep's arguement and drama with Carlos, his continuous terrible luck; and it kind of stole the main elements from the birthday party of no return(hall of horrors: 6), which meant the book didnt even have a proper scene of its own mostly in the ending. And it literally even deteriorated so bad....

I’m working picking up some goosebumps stuff. Like getting attack of mutant dvd for and later picking up cry of the cat dvd for my bro as from what I’ve heard it’s up his ally as he loves meta type stories .

I was disappointed, because they were no mud monsters in this episode. Although it would be cool, to see these kids fought against the mud monsters. Missed opportunity.

I just finished this one but I didn't like it as much as you lol.I typically don't like when the characters change depending on the storyline I rather keep it simple.I did enjoy the mini games Ed and the Carl guy lol

The “Be Careful What You Wish For” cover that you showed is the Jacobus one.

Be Careful What You Wish For is actually a personal favorite of mine. I know it's objectively not nearly as good as a lot of the classics like Haunted Mask, Stay Out Of The Basement, or Say Cheese And Die, but it's still got a certain, I don't know, quirkiness, I guess? that I really like. Camp Jellyjam is great too, especially the ending reveal.

This is one of the most underrated books in the series, whe I read it I even though “I enjoyed that more then I thought I would”

Really enjoyed series 2000 mostly because of the darker tone of the books and was disappointed to find out we where supposed to get more then 25 books. My personal ranking would be 1. The Haunted Car 2. Jekyll and Heidi 3. The Werewolf in the Living room 4. Cry of the Cat 5. Are you terrified Near the bottom for me would be Invasion of the body squeezers mostly because i feel like the covers really overhyped the story (the tim jacobus art is fantastic)

100% agree with your review. Read it today and i couldn't put it down. It was weird, quirky and had so much potential just for it to fumble the ending and then this last page just fumbled the fumble like c'mon Mario. I enjoyed it more than Scariest book ever overalk but the drop at the end was steep. Fun read though, needed more Monday. It reminded me of Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes and if it ended like Beast of the East, it would've been much better.

i bought this book when it first came out and finally finished it tonight. I agree it was a quick read and the pacing was great. I read 2/3 of it in one night when i got into it. The twists in it were a exhausting for being mostly back to back and i would've liked to know more about the contents of the book. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. Great, fun read and a good book to start the series. I'm super excited to start Goblin Monday.

Dude, I'm from Ontario, Canada and its the same situation here! Sometimes I'll find something like Night of the Living Dummy or The Haunted Mask in thrift stores, but that's about it. I pretty much gave up a while ago lol. I just grab my Goosebumps books online nowadays, from Thrift Books and other sellers

I remember going to this as a kid (hopefully I can find my book). The stage play was ok, more like a quickly put together over acted version of the TV show.
