@@hitreglemon you could get a bunch of different models it depends on the price range. If you're focused on speed, esp basses are usually made with thinner necks. If you're looking for a kind of crunch in pickup sound, Yamaha trbx models have the ability to get some pj crunch out of them. There are a lot of routes to take! I prefer Spector basses among the lot. These strings are d'addario flat wound strings; less crunch more smooth for this fretless bass

Of course I'd give anything to see Alex Webster himself do playthroughs of his and Cannibal Corpse's songs. But I've watched many bass players on TH-cam do cover videos, CC or other artists. Spector, dark glass+aguilar eqs and an ear for certain mid ranges!

@@alexanderfarrington_bass I got the th amp head and the Darkglass Adam I just need to lear m how to set the eq lol to get a sound like this I’m fairly new to bass playing so I’m not to sure what I’m doing half the time lol

@@lukasswepston2683 the Adam is insanely modern tone from what I've seen demoed. The b7k ultra is almost too much distortion for me as well.

@@alexanderfarrington_bass yeah man the Adam has a super modern tone in fact to modern for me I like that early 2000s deathmetal tone. It’s a really good pedal tho I also have a sans amp driver I may sell some gear to get the b7k. I don’t even really use distortion on the Adam I use it pretty clean just a little bit of drive

@@gsimongear for me, the Spector necks found on euro models are noticeably easier to get around on versus the ehb. Of course, with most spectors you get into the extra scale length. I found the ehb neck needing to be a little more flat. If that helps. Thinking back, I believe, string spacing is adjustable on the ehb bridge. But I do not know its minimum if that info is totally correct. Overall: Spector all the way on the question.

@@alexanderfarrington_bass thanks so much! I've been intrigued by this bass, but the only one I've found in person was used at a GC, and it was in such bad shape that it was virtually unplayable. Appreciate the info! It goes without saying, but your playing is awesome! You play Alex Webster's lines with clarity and precision - I'm still struggling to get there!
