My First Barefoot Shoes! | VIVOBAREFOOT PRIMUS LITE Review
I was considering getting these RA III LUX MENS for smart casual wear but after hearing your issues about the abrasiveness felt by the stitching inside the shoes I’m not so sure now but when I visit the store I might still try a pair on because maybe you was just unlucky with the ones you got and the stitching might not be like that in the ones I try on in store. And I will also try the GOBI LUX MENS Desert Boots and see which feels more comfortable before deciding which to buy. Although, I think you mentioned the GOBI LUX MENS also have the same issues with stitching inside the shoes. So annoying when the shoes look like great barefoot shoes.
I can’t say for sure whether the Lux have the same issue but I did get another pair of RA III in suede. These still have the abrasive stitch and if I’m honest I can’t ignore it, but it doesn’t cause any blisters or anything. It’s just something I can feel and I’m aware of. If that sort of thing doesn’t bother you I don’t think you’d have an issue. I’m quite particular about my feel and how they feel. Anything slightly off or annoying and it tends to bother me. I’d say it’s worth giving them a go if the stitch thing is the only thing holding you back
Are all those vivo 4m soles survive for you? Edit: I believe you should size up on all vivos 🦶
Hello 👋🏼 I found a pair Ra II for 99€, do you think that they worth it? Even if they model has many years? Thanks
Are they technically new or second hand? I’d recommend being cautious about where you buy from. If it’s vivo, revivo or eBay then fine but if it’s a site claiming to sell shoes at heavily discounted rates they’re typically a scam. If it’s just second hand just try and see the condition of them. A brand new pair of RA isn’t much more and you could have piece of mind
@ thanks, I think they are new, just sales discount or product clearance. The online shop allow to pay with PayPal so I think also that it’s not a scam. My question was mainly about the shop themselves (you know because of the time they have nowadays). Good review, and thanks for your reply!
If they’re new, that’s a good price and I don’t think you’d be disappointed 👌🏻👌🏻
@@harrisonmudge ok, so maybe I’ll give them a try because I have many barefoot shoes but any pair of Vivos! Thank you 🙏🏻
Nice. Hope you like them 😬👌🏻
If you have an iPad, the vaunted Logi Options+ app will NOT work on your device. It won’t even download. You’ll be stuck with the default settings.
Very true!
100% my favorite shoe in the world 🦶and I would love to add this color if it was available
They’re always cycling new colours through the seasons so it’s just a case of keeping your eye on the site. I still love mine too 👌🏻
My best buy from Vivo same color 🦶
Yeah they look great 👌🏻
the 30-day drive connect is a big annoying... not great for archival storage. Are you really plugging in all 100 client project drives every 30 days?
Yeah your absolutely right, it’s not meant for that sort of thing. This is really a sort of workaround to avoid the extra expense and hassle of a NAS. (Looking at some alternatives now out of curiosity) But yes I do plug all the drives in. I don’t have 100s of drives though and only keep “active” clients or projects backed up. Anything that’s old and something likely not to come back to ever I’ll typically dupe a drive and just physically store it. Initially when I went down this route the amount of data was really quite manageable across a handful of drives. Cycling through several drives when you’re working off them means you rarely have the reconnection warning. Lately work and data creation has increased so I am looking at better mass storage, but in my opinion and based on previous and potentially slightly outdated experience, NAS is really overpriced and lacked functionality I needed. But like I say, something I am looking into again now so watch this space 👌🏻
This cool! But i had no idea how to install grills on my krk v4! Its comes with a pair of grills only, not same what you got.
Hmm yeah they’re gonna be different on there. I don’t have them so can’t be 100% sure but it looks like perhaps they screw on the front? With the grills you have, is it just pieces of the mesh grille or is it an entire face plate? If that makes sense.
do I have to turn the power off before replacing?
I don’t think you need to but it might be good practice just to kill the power while you do it. The plate isn’t wired to anything though, it’s just magnets 👍🏻
@@harrisonmudge thank u for the answer!
Great video idea my friend 🙏🏽
Thanks 👌🏻
You just need to get used to the new mouse, you ll get rid of the claw grip after a few weeks
I’ve been using it a while now. I still sort of claw it but I think it is just the size of my hand. It’s still much more comfortable as you can definitely rest on it better than the Magic Mouse
Hey I've really enjoyed watching some of your recent videos looking at the more "normal" looking barefoot shoes even if i have come round the more unique sometimes striking looking ones. I've just ordered the Splay 101s from Splay and I'm waiting then to arrive - they do up to a size 14 and it seems the toe box and midfoot are really wide. Just thinking it might be a good shoes to review without breaking the bank like some of the other shoes! Love from Liverpool
This was super informative
Glad it helped 👌🏻
Hi just wondering can you send a old pair to them that you don't want back!?

Strong words. You tried the Geo court 3? I think they nailed the design on those now 👌🏻
Does it work on the iPad if I change the setting on a windows or mac?
I just connected it to my iPad and there is a toggle for natural scroll under the cursor settings which was on by default. It seems sort of smooth, if you do it slowly it's a little jittery I'd say BUT i have a very old iPad so not sure if it's the mouse / settings or just the iPad its self.
Are you sure the Logitech mouse only moves in a linear fashion. I have its predecessor the MX Master 3 and I have just tested it. I have a new M4 Mac mini. I haven't even installed the Logitech software yet, I'm still debating whether to but a new mouse as the side of my current one has worn through the rubber where my thumb sits. SO all I did was connect to the Mac with Bluetooth and use whatever software is preinstalled. My desk is pretty messy at the moment so I only have about 5 inches of space to move the mouse. If I move it slowly it only moves the pointer on screen about a quarter of the way from left to right but if I move the mouse quickly I can almost get right the way across the screen, at least 90% of the way. If the 3S is truly linear as you say then that is one to cross off my list of options can't it even be changed through the Logitech software? I thought the acceleration was customisable on my last machine where I had installed it, or maybe not installing it and using whatever Apple pre installs is the issue. I was also considering Apple's mouse but thought it might be uncomfortable so your comments about grip were useful. I might just not bother with a mouse at all as I have just bought a Magic Trackpad. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it is amazing. So many gestures you can do, you'd need about 15 buttons on a mouse to do the same! The only trackpads I had ever used were on laptops (not Apple ones though) and they were all absolute rubbish, about all they could do was move the pointer and click. For anyone who hasn't tried an Apple Magic Trackpad do yourself a favour and try one, it might just make mice obsolete.
Hey bud, thanks for taking the time to comment. Yeah so I did more digging and also there was an update after I recorded this video but a couple thinks I either discovered or got updated. One was the natural scroll on the wheel, that’s now a thing which is nice. I think it’s not exactly the same as the Magic Mouse but much closer. Secondly I did find that actually acceleration was ok for me! But it’s so subtle compared to the Magic Mouse. When you turn it off on the Logitech it goes crazy fast! So I think maybe what you’re seeing is acceleration on as you thought combining it with a less sensitive setting on the Logitech? Mine is quite sensitive so the acceleration is less noticeable but also it doesn’t appear to be adjustable on max other than off or on (third party software can change this). So you’re right bud. Also, I often think about getting a Magic Trackpad too! But I’d have BOTH! Trackpad for gestures in the left hand and then mouse in the right😂 as gestures are just much slicker on the trackpads for sure.
Is the logitech mouse laggy on macos?
I've had a few people wonder that. I've personally never had any issues with it lagging at all. You mean from moving the mouse to the curser moving then no I don't see it. Some question the latency but again, I'm personally not perceiving anything but others might. Feels really responsive to me though.
@harrisonmudge thank you for the reply
Scrolling is terrible no matter the setting.
@@yukoned2048 scrolling you can smooth it in the settings
You can change in the settings now. It’s definitely got a lot better. It’ll never be as smooth as the actual touch control of the Magic Mouse but it’s much better now
Switching from using my PC with a Logitech mouse to an Apple Magic Mouse on my MacBook is VERY disorienting. The Apple Magic Mouse feels a lot slower even with the sensitivity turned all the way up, like you said. There is a HUGE difference. Very noticeable. I prefer the Logitech mouse so having a Logitech mouse for my MacBook would be huge.
Yeah agree. Both have "acceleration" on but it's much harsher on the magic mouse. Depends what you want but you may be able to dial in the speed without acceleration but it takes away those more delicate movements.
What were your thoughts for these as a festival shoe?
Yeah they’re decent. They’ve got the thicker sole for any of the random terrain you may be dancing across and just a generally rugged shoe in my opinion for a festival 👌🏻
how backblaze really works? by increasing prices every year :D Anyway, I kind of hoped for an in-depth, technical video based on the title, sad to see just another generic Backblaze advertise.
Welcome to the world of subscriptions 😅 Sorry you feel that way bud. I just wanted to share how I use it and how it helped me. 🤷🏼♂️
@@harrisonmudge sure, no worries, I'm just frustrated seeing my backup cost raising 80% while I get nothing new for it and while the storage cost keeps dropping. They are interesting, as a technical solution, though :)
what’s jumped up so much?! Backblaze has increased but for personal backup it’s only creeped up by I think around a dollar or two over the past however many years I’ve had it so overall it’s still been extremely good value if you’re willing to play with the personal backup stuff. It all does start getting more expensive if you have business / NAS backup though so I do get that. Hence why I still use the personal one as I can make my workflow fit round it still.
@@harrisonmudge I use the personal one, they have even sent out an email recently 'explaining' the price raise. Over the last 6 years or so it has almost doubled. Also even on the confirmation screen they show the price without taxes AFAIR :P You have an unpleasant surprise soon after.
The rough scroll issue is a Mac OS issue, I've managed to find a fix named "Mac mouse fix" but the you can't use the Logitech software as it will break it. The scrolling was smooth on chrome but rough on any apple software like Safari & settings, I was about to return my Mac mini because of this & dpi scaling issues, so annoying, seems Apple likes to lock you in to buying only there products by deliberately making 3rd party products work badly, making people think that apple peripherals are way better than they are
Yeah they’ve updated it now so it does have natural scroll which you can enable in the Logitech app. It’s definitely a lot better but some still don’t like it and have suggest MOS app I believe it’s called. I haven’t tried myself but that and a few other apps do allow you to better adjust and fine tune beyond the simple toggle in the logi app
@harrisonmudge I find the Mouse fix for Mac still a lot smoother scrolling than the Logitech app, shame because there are many features I would have liked to use like Flow & Smartkeys If I don't remove the Logi app, Mouse fix for Mac doesn't work. I haven't found or tried any other apps yet. I'm currently using the MX Anywhere 3s for Mac, but I 've ordered the MX 3s for that side scroll wheel. Hopefully, that will be able to be programmed without the Logi app
I have been following you as you have the same size feet as me (size 14) I ended up with the vivomotus strength which fit me perfectly ( at first), for some reason every other vivobarefoot doesnt seem to fit me at all. Do you have this issue? I feel like my feet have expanded
Hey bud. Interesting you say that. My feet have definitely increased in size. Initially I was a 13 (ish) in regular shoes but always bought the Vivos 14. Just like you I initially had space in everything I bought but now, as my feet have had the chance to spread they’ve increased in size a bit so now, depending on the model of Vivos I try, some fit some don’t. Which is quite annoying from a consistency standpoint point. Some can lack the length, some the width, some both. Others fit great. Hence why I try a lot of them. What’s your size issue, is it both width and length or just one?
@@harrisonmudge im still figuring it out , i think its mainly the left foot that fits too snug now and my sciatica has returned ( it went when i started using vivos). Im thinking it could be the width but on one of the lems it seems to be the length. Im still figuring it out. I have found that The trainers that seem to fit me best are the feelgrounds courtside trainers.
Yeah it’s annoyingly a bit of a process of elimination to find a brand that favours your foot shape. Vivo seem to (mostly) work great for me but others just seem off. But then other people try Vivos and have the inverse experience. It’d be nice if there was physical stores dedicated to minimalist shoes, and that actually stocked all sizes, but even the Vivo store don’t stock a 14 so it’s a little bit redundant for me sadly
I’ve just gone from using my MacBook mostly as a laptop, to using it in clamshell mode on the desktop with a new magic keyboard and mouse. I’m a week or so into using the mouse and getting used to the best way to grip it. However, I’m struggling a bit with how firm the left/right click buttons are as the little extra force required to click them can easily make the pointer shift off target. This might be due to the claw grip not holding the mouse down with sufficient pressure but I was expecting something much lighter than it is. Are the left/right click buttons on the Logitech any lighter than the Magic Mouse? Or perhaps the full hand on the Logitech makes a difference?
The buttons are quite soft to click in. A lot lighter than the Magic Mouse for sure. Sounds like it could just be a case of mastering the grip on the Magic Mouse but yeah if you’re struggling with it then an alternate mouse could be a solution
@ Thanks for your super-quick reply!
No problem 👌🏻
Great review. I agree. US 15 and Xero are just a bit small. Vivo 15 are spot on (Sensus rocks my day)
Thanks, appreciate the comment. Yeah I think I’ve come to the conclusion that vivo are really the only ones that work for me. Everyone is different but Vivos general shape is so close to spot on for my foot shape. It’s just a shame they sometimes run small. Otherwise I’d have a pair of everything 😂
@ I feel you. We’re retired and I really don’t need anything other than these Sensus (green and bark, so far…) except days like today where we have 24” of the white stuff and still coming down. For that, Tracker AT seems to fit the bill. So far everything I’ve tried fits very well.
@kbuzbee have you got the new tracker yet? I’m looking at them at the moment but rarely actually have a need for them. My old trackers are a little small to wear for a long time though so was thinking of replacing them
@ the leather AT, yeah. Love ‘em
@kbuzbee 😩 now I really feel like I need to get them 🙈
Thanks for your thoughts. I've been using the same 75pct membrane keyboard with a very similar layout (Perixx 407B) for the past 9 years now and am leery of 1) the noise profile of a mechanical - even though my keys do rattle about a bit above the membrane 2) the lack of alternate keycaps 3) the apparent lack of switch options for this model and style of Keychron.
Thanks for sharing! 9 years and still going strong 💪🏻 that’s good to hear. I really appreciate when things last nowadays as there’s so much stuff that seems like it’s designed to be thrown away
😂😂😂Nice sponsored video.
I wish 🥲
Been using Keychron for a couple of years now and love them so much! Currently using the V6 knob
How do you find the thickness? I’ve always thought the bigger boards seem a bit too thick so never took the plunge to go for the thick one and happy with the thin, but do like the idea of customising
@@harrisonmudge Its okay for me. I got used to thicker keyboards and like the idea of a longer travel keypress for some reason.
So if it's just a mirror and you need to re-connect the drives every X days. What happens to the data on the cloud if I change hard drives?
You mean if you say transferred a project onto a fresh drive? You'll have to mark that new drive for upload first, and then if you have it would then proceed to upload. But, Backblaze is able to know if the files are already uploaded so I believe if the project / files are identical it will just move their locations on their servers rather than actually uploading again.
No, I mean ..backblaze asks you to connect an external drive once a month or this data will (possibly) be deleted. But let's say my 8tb external drive died and and I bought a new 12tb drive. Now I connect it and backblaze knows about it, all good.. but what about the 8tb data on the cloud? The 8tb drive is dead and won't be connected ever again. Do I need to download the data from backblaze to the 12tb drive so it will continue to be backed up and not deleted?
@@MorkusReXright I get you. In that situation, if your drive died you need to replace the drive that would hold it locally. So you get the 12 TB one. You’ll need to “recover” the data from your Backblaze account which you can download to that drive OR what would likely be quicker is you recover the data by getting it delivered to your house on a portable drive, copy it to your new drive then return the drive they sent for a refund. You’ll then add your 12Tb drive to Backblaze and that data will be then be mirrored to the cloud. (Without needing to actually upload it all again)
@@harrisonmudge Sounds good, although I did not understand why it will not upload the data again once I copied it to the new 12tb drive. Thanks for your quick response!
@MorkusReX sorry I wasn’t quite clear. It technically will upload the data but my understanding is that backblaze will analyse the files and if it finds a duplicate it simply makes the update server side because it already has the file rather than re uploading it, to save bandwidth or data. Hope that makes more sense bud. Cheers
Do you encounter some dead connection when using this keyboard?
Not that I’m aware of. I’ve had a moment where all my Bluetooth cut out so my mouse didn’t work either but I think that’s more related to my computer than the keyboard when that happened. The keyboard is typically rock solid. It does automatically go to sleep after about 10 minutes when on Bluetooth, could be that?
I have no idea yet. But thanks for the video I just bought my 1st keychron k6 pro
Cool. Yeah if you’re just seeing if it’s an actual issue, I’ve personally never had any problems with mine 👌🏻
Just got it
Nice!
Keychron are unreal keyboards
Yeah and at a decent price point too. Just wish there was a few more options for keycap replacements.

What’s that?
Hi Harrison, we talked before. I just received a pair of the Magna FG. They look amazing. I tried them on but don't have time today to really try them on. They seem a little tighter in the toe box. Will that lose up as they break in, I wear US12 in all the pairs I have. My toes don't appear to be touching.Let me know your thoughts and will that loosen up? Hop all is well, saw where they had snow in the UK. Have a wonderful day.
Hey. Awesome! Interesting you mention that, I had the same reaction when I first got mine. Assuming it’s just the width you’re feeling them a little tight in, is it more around the sort of mid to front foot? Not at the does but just before them? I had the same. Id say it will loosen a bit for sure but its not going to be that dramatic that in loses that snug feel. If they’re simply too tight then it won’t correct itself through wearing them so you’ll have to decide on that one but like I say, if they just feel a little snug then they should be ok. Worth giving them a try and just return them if no good. Hopefully you don’t have to though. And yes snow came and then the snow went 😅 now it’s just freezing!
Clearly NOT suede. Just a matte finish leather
What’s the difference? Pardon My lack of knowledge on leather
Good solid review - purchased a pair off the back of it.
Awesome. Hope you love them 👌🏻
Which is best for horizontal swipe for trading and timeline ??? Comfort is not important ❤
Between the Magic Mouse and MX master ? It’s gotta be the Magic Mouse just because it’s truly touch controlled so feels super slick and you can be much more precise. 👌🏻
@ thanks 🫡
4:26 what?? I thought vivo gave bioms for you for free as a tester
No, we did actually pay to be part of it. It’s obviously funded their process a bit but in return we got 3 pairs in total.
@@harrisonmudge pfff ...i would expect they give you pair for free AND also cash 😁
@slavasss2189 that would certainly be nice 😅 unfortunately I’m a mere mortal who must pay for all my shoes. I justified the cost because I’d get 3 pairs and at the time I could afford it. Their other biomes they’re testing were over DOUBLE and I simply couldn’t justify paying that much. Even if I got multiple pairs it was close to £500 to trial them. My fear is that’s also the price of their fully bespoke mocks they’re making. Even someone like, me who I consider to be a huge fan, has to draw a line at over £400 for some shoes!
Technically motus flex is identical with bioms?
Not identical as their design, materials and how they’re made is different BUT for me their comfort is equal and, because of how the flex is made, if you’ve got wider feet then they may give you more wiggle room as the sock will flex
they still not available for sale? i not see it on web-site
No not at the moment. I’ve seen people have started receiving theirs now so the lead time is quite long. I also know that Vivo is in the process of their two other styles so potentially they could be waiting for feedback from the first public release before opening up again as their capacity to manufacture these is limited in scale at present
Love my magic mouse, but have a KVM to switch between PC and MAC and annoyed at having two mice on the desk.
This has a button to cycle through 3 devices. In theory you should be able to swap between them? Unless you have the one with the dongle perhaps?
Just bought these... your video just sold me on it being a good decision for everyday wear in decent weather.
Yes! I'm loving mine so I don't think you'll be disappointed. I don't think I mentioned in the video but they're also so simple to slide on and off they become the easy choice to sling on super quick so if you keep them by the door they'll quickly become your go to!
@harrisonmudge perfect! Nice and easy
Thank You 🎉🎉🎉
No problem 👌🏻
does it support 3 finger gesture?
It does mimic some of the functions yes when you use the thumb button. Not as graceful but still keeps the functionality of window swiping etc
After an unexpected hard drive failure and losing 2 major active projects for my clients, I was looking for a solution like this. Really appreciate the information you provided in this video. If anything can be gained from this absolutely horrible experience, it's now knowing that it will never happen again. Thank you!
Glad I could help and thanks for sharing. Yeah losing data sucks so anyway to just add a safely net of some kind is a life saver if and when it does happen
