Armington & Sims 3-Chime air whistle noon blast.
This whistle is located on top of the Armington & Sims Machine Shop located in the Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Mich. It goes off everyday (when the village is open) 12pm-6pm for a short blast. This thing is pretty damn loud lol.

Very Old Griswold Turn Sign signal in action along with a late siren test surprise.
มุมมอง 120วันที่ผ่านมา
This video was recorded at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Mich. At first we were going to record the 1pm siren test at the village as there were sirens at the village. We waited until about 1:04 when no sirens were heard. So, we called it a day and before we left I wanted to get a recording of this really rare Griswold Turn Sign railroad signal and that's until after the train passes all we he...

The Standard Electric Co Type MAJ-6 vibrating school bell test.
มุมมอง 6814 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is my Standard Electric MAJ-6 (6inch) vibrating class change bell. Manufactured by The Standard Electric Time Company in July of 1965 it still is around and works fine. I have another one of these that was made in November of 1965 and it does not work right at all. This came from an old elementary school and when they were still up idk who did it but someone went around and stuffed the bel...
National "LAKE" Time & Signal Type-P804 (Trouble Bell) test.
มุมมอง 15414 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is my Natsco P804 (4inch) alarm trouble bell. This was used on an old Natsco system that contained Natsco 331s and Natsco 311s with Natsco 3500N Break Glass stations. The panel was unfortunately gutted completely but we took the cabinet and it's now owned by @FyrFyter! Hope you enjoy the video.

มุมมอง 19214 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is my Edwards 360A Flush Fire Horn that I got from @TexasRailfan2008 as a trade and this thing is really cool! Manufactured in the mid 1960s and this one is actually not factory painted red. Its supposed to be grey but someone decided to paint it over all red but I do know that they did make red ones and are more hard to find especially with the "Fire Horn" label on it. I hope to give it a...
(Extremely Rare!) National Time & Signal Type-18CF Mechanical Chime.
มุมมอง 17714 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is a video of THIS gem! This here is a Natsco 18CF that was manufactured in the mid 1970s-1980s. This particular device is very hard to come by and only 3 known people own these and that is me, @VintageCollections and @Blixt1000. This was used as an old class change bell at a school that's now demolished and is such a cool chime! Just look at that big logo! Anyways I hope you guys enjoy th...

มุมมอง 15014 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is a video of my Natsco Type-331 that was removed from a school a couple months back. Originally manufactured by Federal Signal in the mid 1950s. National Time wasn't the only one who rebranded these, Standard Electric Time also did as well. What's unique about these projector horns is that you can angle both horns to whatever way you want it to be. The way it is now is how it was when I f...
National Time & Signal Type-411F test.
มุมมอง 19614 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here is a video of my refurbished National Time & Signal Corp Type 411-F horn. This horn was manufactured by National Time in 1954. It originally was installed at a school here in the eastern part of MI. It was removed from the school along with many others and the original National Time Coded Fire Alarm panel that this was used on is owned by @VintageCollections. Hope you enjoy this video.

มุมมอง 12221 วันที่ผ่านมา
Here we have my newly acquired Simplex 2903-9101 strobe plate & new in box Faraday 5410. This is NOT a 120VAC 2903 unit, it's a regular 24VDC unit that's wired separate from the horn to a 24VDC transformer (explains the delay on the strobe) and the horn is strictly hard wired to 120VAC. Hope you enjoy this video of a cool alarm combo, stay tuned in for more vids! @mr.fortytwofortysix-two2024

First major test after restoration, originally bought this off ebay and according to the seller it came from a factory and was used for the shift change or lunch time horn. When it first arrived it did NOT look like anything near it is now. When I first got it it was painted over with this super thick white lead paint that was chipping every time you touched it. It took about a day to get all t...

This is amazing dude
Nice catches! Trains and sirens are always a nice combination!
That's a Federal Signal 2001 Siren.
Now that is what a fire alarm is supposed to sound like.
That's very cool! You should get a dictograph bell box (6vdc) or an Edwards 725 6 volt dixie buzzer for your panel
you should share this with Old School Fire Alarms. this almost reminds me of ExitSign250's video on an old 70s Dictograph system--you should check that out. glad this was saved from being scrapped.
i could build a better panel from scratch
Too bad you didn't get the back box for this thing
A lot of the old schools in Akron had these or Edwards 340s as class change signals. Is the ASJ-6 the single stroke version?
Very nice ring that bells makes!!
Awesome!

Hi, I'm sorry I was mean to you yesterday, I was extremely angry at something at school and I shouldn't of done that. next time you come in like a week or so, I'll have something cool to show you.
💀
This horn is actually from 1954.
I know this is not the 110VAC version but it does almost resemble the CCRI alarms, which have long since been upgraded and replaced.
i thought this was the 2903-9150 lol
“Sir do not the 60hz” -your mic
i will hahahahahahaa
GOD F*CK THATS LOUD
did sour women give you this? (joseph)

Seems you forgot me and Dylan put in lots of work on the unit too (as always)
This was posted on my Birthday 🎁
I thought this company only did systems in NYC
This isn't my video but was requested to be posted.
@@mr.fortytwofortysix-two OK--anyway, I think they also did some systems in Cleveland. I love that video on that 60-year-old Simplex 4246-2 you did--there's several of them in Akron that are still in use and the building owners do not intend on replacing them anytime soon. you should see my video on the fire alarm system at LeBron James's high school--it's on my channel
That sounds like the sentry 10v
there are several buildings in the rubber city that still have these systems in service, which none of them intend on replacing in the near future.
After four months you uploaded, was nice seeing you yesterday at the 1000T!
yay. u uploaded
i could be wrong but i believe this is sick, or its just old.
Yeah I live in Hartland and live close to the round elementary school and I've never heard it run. I assume it's used or was used for fire drills since it's wired to the school and not connected to a wireless controller like the rest of the sirens in Hartland
Hey I Was Wondering If You Could Record The Taylor Michigan 2001-SRNB On Cooper St And Wick It’s Behind The Subway On Taylor For its 12 Or 1 PM For First Saturday Of The Month I Would Try Both.
That’s gotta hurt
Is it just me or does the horn look like a peeled banana?
Are you siren 😲
The only thing that’s keeping these 40 year old Whelen units alive is their FS Controls
Also speaker drivers were replaced in 2015
I miss this thing, the blower finally died something around a year ago, it seems to have moved just a slight bit more than i last saw it but there was no chance it works
this happened to me filming the 2001 at huron. only rotated 270 degrees
Nice video.
Sounds so healthy!
Classic
Who made Spartans
I was in Saline on that day. It busted for me
Its great to see this siren, i heard it was the only sparton 37 left, I have a recording of this, but it sounded late by 2 minutes theres not many recordings of this siren. Hope to see more in the Future!
I plan to see this soon! Does this also go off on first Saturday?
Daily at noon and the 1st Monday every month at 6PM

Different one? Saline only has this one Whelen. They used to have a WS-2000 and I believe a Hornet but this is the only one now.
