Pigeon mountain. Tight trails, log hops, broken plastics, Joro spiders & night trail riding
Pigeon mountain is located in north ga next to the oaky mountain ohv trails, this hidden gem snakes its way up to the top through a beautiful single track trail, then back down the other side towards lake Burton. Or it did before the last hurricane, down trees made for lots of manual labor and dragging my klr under a tree which I had to almost immediately turn around and go back under because of more unpassable debris. It got dark quickly as I struggled and I cut out a lot of that, after embracing the suck I really enjoyed the ride back up and through the trail.

Tougefest 2024

Not my usual motorcycle video but needed a place to upload. Took my z4 up to the tail of the dragon for Tougefest with a bunch of friends, I’ve been here before but with my suspension adjusted and track tires on this little z4 is a different animal. I’m no pro driver and my car isn’t that fast but it’s still fun cruising these mountain roads and watching the other drivers.
KLR's on the trail.

Exploring is fun, but its always better with your buddies. From private land, turkey rd, then charlies creek in raburn County, north ga.

Adventure bikes take you to some awesome places and here in Appalachiastan there's an endless network of trails to explore. There's no map, no gps, and no idea where they will take you. One wrong move could send you off the side of a mountain, one hillclimb could prove to be too much. Without doubt and danger, is it really and adventure?

Man this was so fun to watch!
What riding boots do you use?
I have forma adv boots and absolutely love them.
Those are the best days. I do the same in northern WI and upper MI on my '24, millions of miles of logging roads all to myself. Iv had a ton of bikes, this one is the keeper. I drop my psi to 18 on stock tires, it works wonders off pavement mayb try it if u havent?
That's about the same psi I'm running, these tusks dpsport adv tires will absolutely eat off-road. My rear is pretty much toast but still trying to get the last little bit of life out of it.
Great video, I enjoyed it, ride safe Sir.
Lol, those are some crazy adventures
Bro Trump won. You don't have to eat bugs
crazy fast...nice control on rough terrain!
Busting trail..."this place makes Cambodia look like Kansas" Were you guys on the route or exploring alternate paths?
Majority of the ride was on route, we did explore some little dead end trails for fun and skipped a loop to ride the tail of the dragon.
that's why I carry a 14" Ryobi eChainsaw on top of a hardcore :P thanks for posting! EPIC SHIT!!
I just did a ride where a chainsaw would have been a life saver, had to drag my bike under a tree twice. Definitely buying a small saw!
You have LOST YOUR MIND.............. What is this? A torture test on the KLR? I've been there and done that many times at Oakey Mountain. Unbelievable!
No Diss! But you should NOT take that nice KLR on single track like that.............. Cool video but a nicer bike! Keep the KLR for Forest Service Roads and get a 2000 dollar dirt bike for that SHIT. I promise ya!!! I have a DR 650 + many more motorcycles. I would not be riding my DR 650 on anything like that. I would be on my 2006 KDX 200 that I have street legal. Anyway the Kawasaki KLR 650 is a very nice motorcycle and yours looks like it's in good condition so keep it that way. (Keep it) but buy you something that can handle that more technical single track. Braap! ✌
You should start a zip tie repair business bro lol
I was legitimately proud of my bmw bumper bro lol.
@atticushexcel9567 this is iron mountain park, Dahlonega Georgia
@atticushexcel9567 most of the trails there are, huge place id absolutely recommend on a side by side.
@atticushexcel9567 dude absolutely, my buddy has taken his ktm1290 there and had a blast. HOWEVER, dont go if it has previously rained because its just a huge slip and slide mud fest. I have a video on my channel taking my klr for the first time.
Intervals rocks! Love the zip tie job. Adds character!
Good riders .
Ok, this is a first, long live the pig(s) !
Where y'all riding at here?
Some private, some of turkey creek, and then charlies creek
Great video Thanks for the ride along!!!
Such a good day riding!
Now that should be a BDR!
Showing TH-cam how it's done.
Love that KLR thump. They’ll even go on real singketrack trails, too.
Those trails look fun!
Wild ride, bro. You runn'n the stock tires or something else?
I had tusk d sport adv but the rear was worn from highway riding.
Crazy you did that on a KLR
I took my KLR there two years ago. Some of the hills coming down toward Low gap I was in neutral just bumping over the rocks. The riding area toward the Lake Burton side isn’t too bad.
These are the things I wana do that my harley can't. I'll have me a klr soon.
It’s called pounding trails we do it all the time when we ride.
Did the KTM fuel gauge show that it had plenty of fuel, but it ran out of gas? I'm curious what the problem was. Thanks.
Thats exactly what happened
Nice job tackling that "trail" on the KLR. You're a better man than I. :)
Somewhere under all this brush and foliage, there’s a motorcycle trail, I swear!
Great skills. I know from filming my own rides, the terrain is way gnarlier. Nice work..
Nice place to ride. Looks like y'all had great fun!
KLR bad ass
Oink !
Aka 2-up in the muck. Trail looks like fun.
The FMF Q4 can sounds good. Love the way you Crank up your KLR. Good video. Ty for sharing!
Excellent video and Riding
2:04… Scrap 👍🏻😎👍🏻🏆
The trail dropping at 8:40ish was much better as a single track before those Jeepers jacked it up! Lots of that area sure has changed in just a short while. That use to be one of my favorite loops.
Hey I bought a softail as my first bike to teach me but I'm finding out that most of the places I want to go I really want something like the klr650. I'll ride my softail off road but it's not fun lol. I still plan on doing highway rides but what kind of tires did you run the dragon with? It seems you were kinda aggressive, more aggressive than I thought you could ride with off road/at tires. Or do at tires handle riding roads like that?
I was running shinko 804/805's on the tail. If you listen closely you can hear pegs grinding in the curves, these big block tires really grab well. I have tusk d sport adv now and they will absolutely not let me grind pegs but offroad is an animal.
@@georgianian yea I could hear that. There's some similar spots on the west side of TN where I'm at that are like the tail. I've started grinding pegs on my softail so I've gotten better at leaning to stop grinding.
@@georgianian I'll definitely check out shinko, I have shinko on my softail and they have been nothing but reliable in bad road conditions.
This looks great, glad the KLR got put to the test.
Nice trails. Looks like fun.
Nice, I need to get some experience on this stuff with my new KLR 650. I have driven on tar covered in pebbles for a road and it felt odd. The bike was dancing underneath me.
If I leaned my klr over that far, I'd have to leave it behind .
This place looks awesome. I just picked up my 2023 KLR 650 yesterday. This place is on the list. Thank you for posting.
You will absolutely love it, however crash bars are an absolute must have for these bikes. Happy trails and t-rex racing are the best for the 3rd gen in my opinion. Ride safe!
I get winnded on my ktm 300, much less one of those big beasts! Power to you, Oakey is the real deal.
so cool!
I'm in 30135 ; I want to join!!
Great video! - haha.... 2:30
Check your selves for Ticks. Tick borne diseases are serious
It takes a lot to throw a KLR around, I have the same one as you.. Hats off to you. You did good!
Live in N. Ga, outside Helen. Would love to catch up with you all during one of these excursions.
Would love for you to join us sometime, i also live just north of helen.
