Kroger does have some good sales, and I've had that happen when the sign says one price but it rings up differently. Do you ever ask for an adjustment at the courtesy counter? I have done that, and sometimes it is as though they're expecting me. . . ha ha ha!!! You inspired me to get outside despite the heat, fuel up and pick up some of those grapes and other deals. Thanks to one of your past hauls, I tried the Kroger brand ice cream and really like it! It sure is more cost effective than the stuff I had been purchasing. With this heat wave, ice cream cravings have escalated! Kudos also to Chef for a lovely display of the haul. 👍😃👍

Truly over-rides the age-old joke about "mothers-in-law!" A profound love wants the happiness of the other more than their own gratification. They each held this for each other. Those prices are a throwback to "Happy Days" without inflation! Those Dots snacks around here are almost $6/bag! (I've tried their Honey Mustard pretzels and could easily understand the popularity and price. The Glory foods are another premium canned food item here. Love it when you and Chef shop the deals and score a GREAT haul! 👍😃👍

What a haul! Just one of those Pronamel tubes costs $10 pre-tax where I live... Glad to see that they are stores out there that still sell good stuff for cheap!!

As I listened to you speak about praying for that woman who was in the process of losing her child, I was moved to tears. Truly the best gift we can give and receive is prayer. You remind me to more often include my Guardian angel in those conversations with God. (I haven't "seen" my Guardian angel, just a deep conviction that she is with me 👼) I can relate, somewhat, to that woman who is losing her child. My own adult daughter has estranged me and my granddaughter from her life. I'm not sure I will ever get over the heartbreak. What I am sure about is God's mercy. I love Him and trust in Him so deeply. It is the only reason I keep pressing forward. As your grateful customers at the shop, I genuinely appreciate your presence here with this channel. You, Chef and your family are in my prayers of thanks today! 🙏 (ps: I almost went back to erase that disclosure about my estranged family, not intending to be so dramatic. In truth, it was pride that made me want to erase those words. Admit, I feel somewhat shamed by actions of my family, including all of my siblings. I didn't realize how fragmented we all were.)

Listening to the Word in Genesis, we can "hear" the prophesy of what is to come in the New Testament. And not to make light of scripture BUT just imagine that scenario today. Adult children estrange themselves from parents over a whole lot less than what Abraham was to act upon.
