Came out to do sub50 managed to do 1:50.00 but go pro didn't turn on that session, in the lap that 1:49 was on the clock the gas pedal broke e36 s50b30 2955 with driver 275/35/17 nankang crs mismatch coilovers, homemade aero

I don't think I've been to Pacific since like 2006. Action cams didn't exist back then. My digital cam was 4:3 and made .AVI files. And I was doing 1:49's in an NA-powered 1st gen Miata. xD

Nice! I noticed you didn't use the whole track on entry of 8a. What's your reasoning there? Are you gaining time with the tighter line through 7 and 8a? I've gotten my best laps going more mid track through 7 and setting up a wider 8a, but I'm always looking for tricks I can steal from other people. 😅
With some discussions with the really fast guys, between the camber and the severity of the turn. The shorter distance is typically faster if you car can make it. Looking at the data comparing myself wife and mid track entry, this was faster

It's actually next tues, but my phone mount holds fine I should just get a case that I have an external metal plate for the magnet hahahah
INVALID LAP LAP NOTES: T3 4-3 shift possibly unsettles the car and makes entry less fluid. staying in 4th might result in faster laptime since you are shifting back into 4th right away T4 trail braking deeper to rotate the car will get it better positioned for 5-6 and allow for consistent cornering load T10 corner cut, invalid lap T16 Throttle too early, carrying more speed on entry and leaning on front tires would result in faster laptime T18 corner cut by a tire width OVERALL. Not a true 1:19 lap with large chunks of the track cutout. 1:19s are possible without cutting corners just by carrying more speed on corner entry. Still a very fast lap considering the relatively low horsepower. You tend to drive using lots of throttle to stabalize and steer the car. That works well for 4-7 complex, but entering faster and relying on the front tires will improve your laptime t4 and t16 entry.

Checking your speeds and where your changing gears i'm guessing you have a 3.91 diff in the car? I'm heading up there next month and trying to decide whether to run a 3.15 or 3.91. Car is a 328is coup
I have a 3.38 diff with 255/40/17 tires and 7800 rev limit 3.91 should work well on this track though

How do you like the TRM coilovers? I have been looking for some feedback on them from a track perspective and it's been difficult to come by.
Matt Cohn I quite like them, but you can't get them new anymore. I think the next upgrade to these would probably be mcs single adjustables

Stock euro S50B30 engine so... (286HP crank rated when it was new back in 93) 3100lbs w/ driver+full tank (car cannot go below 5/8 tank otherwise fuel starve on hard rights) Toyo RR that was corded in 1 day(personal best is same time as when I ran NT01)
