7/19/24 Lake Mi, chilly water temp, Minelab Maticore & Xtreme Scoop (Ti v3 Shredder)
Basically an experiment in making a video etc. Southern Lake Mi, water temp was a toasty 73 a few days ago and dropped to frigid over past two days of N & W winds. Big longshore flow and waves moved in some extra chilly water. Park sign said 54F. Found a handful of jewelry, two or 3 silvers, no real golds. Had the water to my self, other than some well insulated folks and some kids that don’t care how cold it was. Not taking this too seriously, gopro 12 neck type mount, all “editing” done on iphone. Some rocks were exposed, got some keepers to polish/etc. Will likely spare you the clad digs in future.

Minelab X-terra Elite in the Test Garden
มุมมอง 54214 วันที่ผ่านมา
Second spin through the test garden with this new spare rig I got last week. Garden is 3 years old now, all precisely measured depths, with lots of rusty bits all around, some tough US coin targets, some easy. Tried all the 3 modes, Beach 1 banged everything the most here, the 2’d all lack the same punch. 2 seems to be the magic recovery speed. Debated between a triple score, as i’ve had many n...
Minelab Manticore 11” vs 15” coil, dimes & nickels (deep)
มุมมอง 848หลายเดือนก่อน
Quick somewhat of a comparison, same settings, same targets in test garden (aged a couple years). Really not much difference on dimes, other than the 15” makes it hard to miss anything. The 14” nickel is where the 15” shows very slightly more reach, not much, but a bit more. This was just my quick testing for me, but figured I’d record and post, cuz there’s not many videos comparing same target...

Putzin around in the Jeep and just enjoying the afternoon. Short clips edited together, nothing too exciting. Was just curious of abilities of stock jeep compared to the tremor ranger and testing the hf antenna durability. Jeep did incomparably better. Dude in red truck hit the whoops and had’r bouncing good.

Rigged up the G90 in the Jeep. Works great. Sound over the stereo system via aux input. Have made contacts all over, Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, US coast to coast and Canada eh. Swr’s are with the slidewinder coil collar set at resonant positions.
Deus 2 @ old carriage park again

Quick hunt again. Pulled a couple wheats, a v nickel, a button and a pin. Settings based off sensitive full tones, working very well. *didn’t realize that the external speaker was also on, hence why I was kinda describing the target tones.

Very quick, last minute outing. Trying some slightly tweaked settings, based off my custom sens full tones go-to program. Compared it with the tekkna program, …… I’ll stick with mine. Found a nice barber dime today. Quite rare around here any more.

V2.0 update, some gold ring vdi’s (and an apple watch ultra, just because). General mode 85 sens. Was also curious on side sensitivity of the coil, better than expected. All those were found with a manticore i ran this summer.
Minelab Manticore Update, Stabiliser vs 12” merc ….use carefully
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
One quick impromptu example of one instance where a desired, very masked, 12” deep silver coin (Merc)could be missed with Stabiliser set one level too high. This is one target, one mode, I had a few spare minutes, it may do better on another in another mode, I’m just showing one instance here, didn’t try the shallower ones yet. My budget friendly “solution” to add/integrate a Li ion pack and external speaker pod to x6100. Highly recommend this external speaker (this rig really benefits from it). Adding an end fed half wave wire antenna. Needed some more elevation to fit it right where it needs to go. Lion Country dummy launcher, 1/8” slick rope (150ft)taped to DT dummy, yellow charge. Nailed it on first try (highest V). Way easier than weighted bags.

Bro, what’s your favorite water shoes/foot wear?
Nothing beats O’neill Superfreak 2mm surf booties , imo, have tried every other option. They just don’t last for more than a few seasons though, thin bottoms, But they’re awesome.
Nice clear water 👍🙂 Sweet finds!

Anybody has a problem Witt batiereis ??.
Not sure, sold mine and stuck with a garrett carrot
So here is question then. Manticore or Deus II ? I had an CTX3030 which I really like but it was heavy and had ongoing water ingress problems. I now have eq900 but thinking of a Deus II or manticore. I only really detect in the sea.
So i have this it has dead spots on the holster so you end up messaging about turning the pin pointer It also went crazy beeping with no metal its faulty other people have had same issues im getting rid of mine
Hmm, I sold mine soon after getting it, just too used to carrots to switch.
@@UABFWSS I'm currently using the mi6 but now and then for some reason it slips into menu mode then trying to turn it off I don't think you can beat a carrot tbh. Simple is better when it comes to pinpointets

Could you try 2tone in multi. Then try 4or5 khz with 2tone. With checking sensitivity as high as possible and a 3 on recovery. ? Thanks for your vids!
Also, what water shoe do you recommend?
Looking hard at the XTREME line of scoops. Like your vids and replies to comments…no frills, no spills, no bullshit and tell it like it is. Subbed!
Best scoops made! Have had many of all the others over the years.

Try goldfield os the best and deepest
Nice video
Great information. Ive been using the M8, which I like and the M9, which I dont like so far and am going to go back to using the 11 inch coil. 👍👍👍
I just ordered an M8, for tighter or trashy spots . But, the 11 will likely see the most use for sure.

Try gold field is the deepest setting
Well swell. I been running 3 stabilizer with my new m15. Been pulling silver up in a special situation that's only giving up silver cause the M15 is punching down that extra distance. But I have had several marginal signals that I have just passed on due to to much of a broken signal. My nemesis in this area is rusty bent or broken nails. But I am starting to suspect I am skipping some good silver coins running stabilizer at all. I think digging a few more nails with it at 0 will gain me more silver coins as well. It's such a fine line with stabilizer working to help when it comes to deep targets that are just on the very limits of the Manticores capabilities. If you know the targets are near the surface say 8" and less then running stabilizer at 3 is not a problem. It will help cut the rusty iron and coins will come right through. But in my situation I am looking to squeeze every bit of depth possible I am going to have to just turn it off. I will go hit my spot tomorrow. I will run it at 0 on stabilizer. I bet my silver coins just skyrocket! I will see how it goes but I suspect many of those I walked over today that where so close to good where good had I only turned off the stability.
What type of titanium alloy is this? Thank you.
I am not sure about the specific type, alloy or makeup. I can say it is very strong and resilient to harsh, deep digging.
I want for it parisz palis
How do you think this would do on a wooden war club?
It’s pretty durable when stretched/pulled taught when wrapping it. It’d do well for that.
@@UABFWSS thx
Thank u so much!!!!
Thanks.. How did it hold up over time?
Oh, i ended up selling it shortly after getting it. It seemed sturdy, but i just went back to my garrett carrot
Really nice. I just got the AMK 76 and I’m still learning to use it. Your video helps a lot.
Good deal. This thing is still doing great for me here.
Does the lg28 stock coil work on the latest update or do I need a new coil if I update the firmware thanks
Yes it works on any firmware version
@@UABFWSS thanks for the info bud
I don't own the Manticore but I seen a lot of videos on it and to tell the truth I'm kinda disappointed in it, I was expecting more for that price. Sounds very chatty and scratchy in this video also. 😢
It’s a good machine and will add some finds above what a equinox can find, but its not perfect either. After the summer water season, I switched back to another deus 2, which is not perfect either, but i want to run this coming water season with it to see for myself.

Superb bit of kit, I’ve just bought one with carbon fibre shaft I’m in u.k looking for XTREME decals any idea where I can source please. HH
If he’s got them available, I think he usually puts one in with the paperwork/receipt.
Chuck must've sold them his designs or own this company cause they're the spitting image of his
I doubt it, but they are surely similar. Have had at least 5 or 6 of Chuck’s over the years past, among many many others too. These xtremes are extra tough. Latest addition is a titanium one,, holy wow is the lightness an unexpected game changer.
@@UABFWSS oh they're definitely nice and since sunspot is out of business these designs are the only game in town if you're into this style. i'll be picking one of these up soon

I got on amazon. Aluminum version. I think walmart had it also.
You probably know this by now but when you punch up sensitivity past 26-27 you start to lose depth /masking
Well,, it just depends. Nice thing about known buried targets, you can experiment with that. Sometimes, just the conditions of the day can change how it reveals things. Quite a deep seeking rig either way.
Mine didn’t survive the water hunting season. It did find me enough gold to pay for itself. Ended up getting another D2 for now.
@@UABFWSS wow that’s about the 3rd one I heard of that had water issues
@@prostreetdino8266 Ah, I’d only heard of one other prior. The warranty center had it replaced in a few days, but that kinda killed the whole water confidence factor. Hundreds of hours in freshwater submerged. I really like it otherwise.
Well, after however long I’ve had this on, it did start getting somewhat louder at idle and lower speeds a few months ago. Still solid, just an update. Did get rid of the truck recently. Would still recommend it over others.
Whoa that’s it that’s what we’re looking for in a knife to rule them all.
It hears it, but woukd you dig it?
Depends on the day and the site, usually dig most everything. Sold the 900 and manticore since anyhow.

What an annoying belt bump that thing has!
Some belts are worse that others. Some totally smooth. It doesn’t even phase me on the bad ones, but ideally they’d be perfectly smooth for sure.
bonjour ect ce qu il y a des interférences avec le manticore merci
J'ai vendu le pinpointer, je ne suis pas sûr qu'ils fonctionnent bien ensemble. Aucun problème avec d'autres localisateurs avec manticore.
Not sure I like that chatter as you move along the edge. Does that affect the blade at Al?
Sorry… *at all*
It’s the tape joint on the belts. Some worse than others. It does look really bad on video. No ill effects on edges. I’m amazed at the absolutely perfect edges it makes each time I use it.
@@UABFWSS ah ok thanks. Perhaps adding a think piece of felt would help cut that down a bit.
@@johndonovan1878 yes, or maybe even leather perhaps.
Hello, dear friend, in order to get more depth, what number should I set the recovery to? What is the difference between low recovery numbers like 1 and 3 and high numbers like 9 and 10?
In theory, lower number = more depth, but with legend that’s not always the case, if metallic pollution is a factor when looking for coins or rings. Rarely used lower than 3, or higher than 5, but thats just my opinion.
