Great Video, thank you. Love my XT660Z but being influenced by videos like those of Adam Riemann I have always squinted to the T7. In the end, reliability and offroad handling is my major requirement so I will stay with the old girl. She is just such a reliable beast.
Thank you for the video. I love my XT660Z. When the T7 was announced- I was happy- great new addition. But that did not dwindle my desire for my bike one bit. Love it too much to part with it.
Great review of your personal experiences i to don’t know whether to buy the660z or the t700 I’ve rode the new t700 on a Yamaha experience day in wales and it performs exceptionally well but the reviews of the Yamaha 660z also read great at more than half the price for a very low very clean well looked after 660z at the end of the day it’s just a weekend toy

Thanks. The heat was not a problem for me. The rack kept the distance for the bags to the exhaust .
What is the youngest age recommended for children on this walk?
I cannot answer the question. There is no rail and the path is narrow and it is a long way straight down. Many adults gets scared on the path…so?

T7 is a great bike but not enough for me to part with my Xt660z. Love my 23ltr tank
I love this bike but unfortunately it isn't available in America and that is pissing me off. I loved the sound with the hard DB killer because of the deep bass tone to it. Enjoy it sir.

Did the route in 2017 on my r1100GS. I was happy to have my cam running all the time because I was to concentrated with driving to enjoy the surroundings. Made me wish for a 21 inch front wheel and a 50kg lighter bike.
We would like to drive this Road in a cabrio. Would you recomend closing the roof?
I don't think I am the right one to answer your question. I did see stones on the road that had fallen from above, but we did not experience any stones falling down, so...?

In the finish of the track, where are a place to park vehicles, you can visit a beautifull waterfall with 5 minute walk. There are some indicators.

Great video & enjoyed your thoughts on both bikes. I bought my XT660z new in 2010 & have been debating for past 2years Whether to change it for a T700 Rally. Think I’ll keep the 660 for another year 😊

Hi, is this exhaust street legal, and if so, how did you homologate it?
At the time the video was made the exhaust did not have the EU approval (stamp on exhaust). What I did was to ensure it had the minimum noise level with the hard db killer and I installed a catalytic converter in the pipe. I never tried to get it approved, however, I think it might be possible to get it officially approved at least here in DK, but it does require a new inspection at a test center.
Please can you explain how to get to the entrance of this trail?
I followed the road C-147 going north from the village Esterri d'Aneu which leads directly to the entrance. However, I heard a rumor that the trail has been closed for drive thru, but I have not been able to verify that?

Yes, it is possible. As far as I remember the only two places you could be in doubt is finding the entrance to the path in the city Alins and through the village Tor until you are over the small bridge, just follow the main track and you will be fine.

Very enjoyable video, many thanks for sharing this. Looking at the condition of the track, I can see why you didn't much notice the scenery at the time. It looks like you were riding a Yamaha T7. Did you have much extra weight - luggage, tools or extra fuel?
Thank you. I did have some luggage and tools, but actually only minor weight. And yes it is a T7 with Anlas Capra X tires. There were a lot of deep hard packed ruts in a mosaic and big stones, so my main focus was picking the line continuously through the mosaic of ruts, stones, hairpin and slope. So for me it was impossible to ride and enjoy the view at the same time.

Der er selvfølgelig TET ruten E-14 GNR02 fra Escaló til Espui med den bedste begyndelse ad TET rute E-10 GER01. Jeg har dog hørt at en del af E-10 GER01 er blevet lukket, men vejen udenom er fin. Så er der Pic Negre ved Andorra tæt på Smuglere rute osv. Det er nok de smukkeste "off road" ruter i området omkring "Smuglers route". Men ellers er der masser af fantastiske vandreture i National parkerne Vall de Boi, Benasque, Ordesa y Monte Perdido etc. hvor grusvejen fra byen Chia ved Castejon de Sos til byen Plan er værd en tur efterfuldt af vej HU-631 etc., men ellers bare via N-260 med besøg i byen Ainsa. Der er rigtig mange steder jeg kan anbefale...

Thanks for an honest assessment of the two bikes. I have the 660 and had already decided that the 700 wasn't for me. I am in the process of making limited modifications to the 660 that should make it a superior adventure/tourer than the 700 for a lot less money. Newer isn't always better...

Thanks, and yes I still find the 16 liter tank annoyingly small on long trips. And yes, a lot of aftermarket product is out there to compensate for what is missing for my purpose.
Exhaust at 9:00 : HP Corse makes the SP-1. Mounted high as an enduro bike. The problem is the soft luggage here.

I use Garmin zumo for navigation and lately I have tested the Anlas Capra X tires and am very satisfied with their off road performance and longevity. I got 7500 km on the rear tire and 10.000 km on the front tire. However, on wet tarmac I found the rear to slip easily on breaking, but I would likely buy them again for the off road performance combined with the longevity. And thanks for your comment!
Great comparison. For me, I've enjoyed the softness of 660 suspension and 700 felt like it was way too harsh and tiring over a long ride. In the city, I prefer 660 with a loud arrow exhaust (no db killer) over 700 with akropovic - 660 just makes me smile more:) I'd also take 660 for offroad. For travelling, despite the not so soft ride, I'd still take 700 - more power for overtakes and lower mileage, hence lower risk of breakdown

At which time of the year you drove this path? We plan to go there mmid of March and wandering if surroundings of Barcelona is good location for bike driving at thant time of year...
Typically, I am touring around Barcelona during Dec, Jan, Feb. Marts is great for touring in the region and along the coast. It can still be cold inland (around 0 degree in the morning) and in the Pyrenees, but also 20 degrees during the day you never know in early spring, but Barcelona and coast is good all year.

People arn't really saying this bike is excellent for single track enduro racing, I think what people are saying is that it is quite capable of doing single track depending on skill level. Hell even a gs1200 CAN do single track, i knbow which bike id prefer to attempt it.

thanks for posting this. i've been trying to work out the path of the TET from close to Barcelona until the Ecomuseo (the section I think I could do). cross referencing your video with Google maps and the tracks and photos left by Fernando Gost has been really useful. enjoyable video too.
