im currently doing my erasmus and im hating my experience... i feel so lonely and i really want to go back to my country... im sharing an apartment with two friends that i met in my first year of school and i think the friendship is ending and im really hating living with them and travelling with them, but i also have no one... im hating everything and now i dont know if i should schedule my flight for earlier than i already scheduled or just accept that first schedule and try to travel, but travel with who??? i have no one... and idk if i should (or even if i could) travel alone...

Hey! Im about to go to madrid aswell. In what school u were and how are the exams there? Do they still do paper exams or are all online? Also do exchange students need to wait for the official exam period or do the schools let exchange students do exams at end of semester? Nice video:)

Hi, I should go to UC3M during the fall/winter semester this year, my campus will be the one in Leganes, I heard someone complaining of the city, saying I should rent a room in Madrid cause nightlife in Leganes is sh*t. Now in Rome I'm 1hour away from my university I'd like to be close to my campus now that I can. I don't know in which campus were you studying, but what you think about that?

Respect for sharing your true story!!! It was a warning reaction from your soul that you are on wrong way. I was an "erasmus mentor" and I saw that its not the "time of their lives" --- euphoria and reckless partying in the first weeks and homsickness and depressive moods later. Superficial friendships, some meaningless lectures in a semester, too much freetime, culture shock.... I didnt have a chance to take part in Erasmus but thinking back it was better this way. I think the "Erasmus Experience" wont inprove ones personality - its just a big illusion that something great is happening , you dont have to prove aníthing, no real responsibility just spending your parents money.

The saaame. From 30 second. I have absolutely the same problem. Aaaaa.... it is so awful. I now in Japan as exchange student, for 6 month. When I only arrive first 3 month I was like "why I don't travel enought?", "I should be there, but not just sit in my apartment", "I have such chance, I cannot lose a second of beening here!". And all leads to vary bad feelings. I understand you and it is so terribly. But I, may be, found a solution for, so if smb is interested, please free to ask

I'm in Barcelona right now and I just want to come back home. It is my first time abroad and I've wanted this for so long, I've worked for this and I expected it to be perfect. Now all I see is the people around me not inviting me to stuff, I meet new people but it seems to never go past small talk, guys just try to talk to me because they want to hook up with me, and I miss my friends at home so much.

I really appreciate you sharing this part of your experience because as a retiree in the US I'm planning a month-long exploratory trip to Valencia next month and need to keep in mind, during this trip and during a possible future relocation, that what you see on TH-cam and IG are other people's experiences and that mine may be quite different and that I should keep my expectations in check. I have been selected to an Erasmus program in Austria and Czech republic and expected to start October 2022. I will defenitely lower my expectations now on.
