    Agree. Merrell are JUNK. Do NOT spend the money. IF you find a pair for $5 at the thrift store, by all means. But don't spend $130 on a pair and get rooked, as I did. They are GARBAGE. Moabs. JUNK. Fell apart within two months of putting in service on GRASS HIKES.

    Had my jaw bone cracked in half by somebody using knuckle duster thing is walking down the street get a tap on your shoulder. Be careful about just turning around to look that’s what I did and I was met with a very sudden hit that lifted me up off the ground had to have my mouth wired shut for three months. Did you know even being knocked out in the manner that I was? I could still hear my head bouncing on the asphalt

      That is horrible! My recommendation is when in public keep your head on a swivel and be armed to protect yourself. Learn how to avoid confrontations.

    I'm not saying anyone said it was, but there ain't no way that was a cold start. You know what sucks? When I was much younger and lusted after a bike like this, I couldn't afford it, so I made do with a BSA rigid chopper that I built. Now, I CAN afford a bike like this, I'm too old and decrepit. Two total knee replacements wouldn't work with a bike like this, so I'll just have to stick with my 06 Softail "not so" Standard.

    • @lrchops
      @lrchops ปีที่แล้ว

      All my bikes are 1-3 kicks on a old start after being primed. And this was a cold start.

    • @zwastiunburzy3688
      @zwastiunburzy3688 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lrchops Ah, my sincere apologies then, I stand corrected. You must have them fine tuned, and serviced regularly. It really sucks that I can't do my own tuning or servicing on my Softail, but the old knees (well, more the absence of knees, they're both made of titanium now) just won't play nice. I can get down on my knees, it's the getting back up where the problem is. Anyway, enough drivel from I, love your bike, the little touches like the rear brake light really set this ride off nicely. And those "pan-shovels", there's just something about them that makes them, right, is probably the best word I can think of to describe them. Jealous as, enjoy riding it, and don't forget to keep the shiny side up.🇭🇲👍

      @lrchops ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zwastiunburzy3688 I build, fabricate, tune, and service my own bikes. No one else touches them. I am 57 but slowing down a bit. Still kicking and riding old bikes!

      @@lrchops Good on you! That's something I've always wanted to be able to do, but, for various reasons, lack of funds and difficulty in obtaining parts being the two main reasons. Here in Australia, finding parts is more difficult than over in the land of the US and A, and if perchance you do happen to find parts, they're much more expensive than what you lucky bastards would pay. That, coupled with working 60-70 hour weeks for a great portion of my adult life (don't ever become a truckie, kids!), has been another major factor. So it's just been easier to get someone else to work on my bike. Sometimes I've regretted that, what with some of the bumbling fools that the local dealer employs.

    • @lrchops

      I built the bike. It is a registered Panhead. All Panhead lower with Shovel top end. So technically you are correct, it has Shovelhead. It’s a Pan/Shovel.

    Really nice bike except for that horrendous rear fender looks terrible makes it look like a bike in a box kit bike, doesn't follow the tire not even a little bit, get a nice gasbox fender or a TC bros. & That would be a badass bike,
