Thanks for sharing. £35 would still be too much for us - despite water on tap 😉 and the nice view (in one direction) but it was really handy for the festival. What Cadac have you got - I like the vegetarian breakfast you did, what else do you use the Cadac for?

Get the roof seals checked , before they become an issue, nobody seems to do preventative checks , they just seam to love giving you the bad news when it’s to late !

Thanks for sharing this review of the Jackery. I often wonder about getting a solar panel on our caravan and whether to get a power bank. Still wondering …. So much to think about. We only go on CL/CS sites too but always with hook up. So far, not been on any where the electricity has been metered. I think our main electricity needs are heating - my OH likes to be really warm 🙄 and likes watching a bit of tv in the evening. We have indoor storage so not sure whether a solar panel is worth the effort/cost (also considering our weather 😕).

Mmmmm! If you're expecting the underfloor of a caravan to remain dry at all times then you'll have a big shock. Driving in rain sends spray under the van and it gets wet. Usually it dries off, as mentioned in the video, and no harm is done. The only time you need worry is if the edges of the van floor remain damp as it's constant damp the generates wood rot. There's also an oddity demonstrated in the video that water that runs down the walls somehow manages to work its way around the floor edge and permeate the underneath ply surface. That's a well known phenomenon and is the reason window sills have a groove along the bottom to interrupt the water doing that, causing it to drip off before it reaches the house wall. Unfortunately caravans don't have sills and can't have that sort of interruptor. I have heard of folk fitting thin strips of plastic along the floor edge so that they protrude below the floor and water drips off the edge of the plastic and doesn't creep up the back and onto the floor surface. I'd be concerned that the solution you mention are going way over the top and aren't really necessary unless the wood is spongey when dry, which indicates that its integrity is compromised. Messing about cutting out stuff leaves exposed edges that didn't exist before and can lead to worse problems later on. prevention of the problem in the first place would be a better way forward.

On our last trip away we had to make a sharp left hand turn into the site and fortunately noticed in time that the near side caravan was dangerously close to the gate post so had to do some tricky reversing at a sharp angle which damaged the pads in the stabiliser. I should have raised the stabiliser handle to loosen the tow ball - didn’t know that 🙄. Drove back home with sweaky hitch.

Can I ask what the problem with the motor mover was at the beginning of your vlog? We arrived on a CL yesterday and used the mover but half way through, it stopped working.

Great vlog guys some great gadgets Kindles are brilliant and so much better than having a lot of books and blue tooth speakers are great we put ours out in the awning when away in the caravan. 🤗

A great selection of gadgets there.... like the Bluetooth speaker. As you say Bose has a great depth of sound. I have to admit I have a kindle, but as I can use the kindle app on my phone . I don't carry the kindle device around much. Easier to take the phone

You need to ditch all those plants, It's not a green house, Also any liquids, You have an MRO of 1102kgs and a Factory MPTLM of 1248kgs + 62kgs from the up plating to 1300kgs, So you should have 198kgs to play with You need to empty the Caravan completely leavin just the Motor Mover handle and the spare wheel and the hookup cable and the Battery and then go back to the weighbridge and re-weigh the Caravan again, You need to ditch that inverter because thats another 5 to 8kgs and a 6kg bottle of propane will weigh around 14kgs or if they have over filled it it will weigh 15,0kgs So if your bottle is half full it will weigh 11kgs, YOU must be carefull with the D4 Series because Andrew Ditton borrowed the D4-2 and with what it had in it it should of weighed 928kgs with just the battery and water carrier and the wheel lock and the spare wheel, but when weighed it come to 944kgs So it was higher than what the factory said it is and it only has an MPTLM of 998kgs without an upgrade, You have about 20kgs for the battery and 30 to 36kgs for the motor mover. Empty your Bailey and only keep the things in it that I said and reweigh it and then weigh every thing on proper Postage 100kg Scale from Ebay because they are accurite to 50 grams or less and do not use your bathroom scales because they will always put you over the limit. OK, I hope that helps. Good Luck.
