I do not touch the work piece with the plasma torch consumable .Also, I use 75 psi air, continuous. If your compressor turns on during operation, it may not be keeping up. I use a 100 gallon air tank compressor and it works well for even longer jobs, keeping to the 60% duty cycle.

The only place the kit is attached is the belly plate? It looks like the back and tires could move or flex out of alignment.

Nice Trike build. You done a very good job of installing the kit. I'm going to trike my wife's brand new 2012 Vulcan 900 classic (yes I said brand new, It was a left over). I have one of franks kits (DIY weld yourself) on it's way, should be here on the 9th. She is chomping at the bits to get it done so she can ride. I hope to be able to get it assembled in about a week.
