Does the sourdough crust taste like sourdough or does the pizza/char flavor predominate?

Some TH-camrs will test something out, if they love it, they review it, if they don’t, they don’t cover it. So it may come across as overall positive . I think it’s fine. Im kind of the same with reviewing on Google, yelp, etc. will usually leave a review if its good. Don’t want to be negative, it’s hard enough running a small business; keep it positive

Fresca got a very interesting history. Fresca used to be a pizza place called Massimios that was owned by this Italian couple, but all the cooks were Vietnamese, as apparently they perfect their pizza making skills in Vietnam before they come to Canada to find work. Massimios became Fresca after the Italian guy Massimio died and his son took over the business and basically ran it into the ground, as right around the time Massimios closed down Fresca's owner (one of the former cooks at Massimios) got a lease for Fresca's location at College and Spadina which ironically enough is right across the street from where Massimios used to be, and Fresca been in business ever since. Also fun fact: the guy who owns Fresca been making pizzas for close to 50 years at this point, he truly is one of the true OGs in Toronto when it comes to pizza making. Him and the guy who owns Pizza Gigi are some of the oldest pizza makers in the city, even though Sal, the guy who owns Gigi got arrested for selling drugs back in 2011, you gotta try Pizza Gigi as well. Also try Bitondo's. They're another old school pizza maker in Toronto who I guarantee you'll love.

Clark, I devoured their holiday burger last month 😋. That 6oz burger is just perfect 🤤! That green sauce is really unique too, and I don't think I saw it in the pictures last year.

From North Bay here. I went to Barrie for some christmas shopping and decided to stop here on a whim. The service was phenomenal and the food was the bomb.

In order to do a real comparison you should have gotten the same toppings (or relatively close) on every pizza. I love a Margherita pizza because I'm a basil fanatic so I imagine that pizza would have been at least an 8 for me. The only pizza here that I have tried is Blondie's and I would probably rate it a 7.5. I do love a Detroit style pizza so Descendant is next on my TDL along with Conzo's. Good video I enjoyed.

That Samoon bread looks a lot like Turkish pide bread that I've tried. I'm putting Johnny's on my TDL. Dr. Laffa is amazing and I would put in my top 5 for sure. Yaseen's was ok but I wouldn't include it top 5. I didn't try the beef though.

Clark, Thank you for your videos and for introducing us to some amazing finds in the GTA. Just came back from lunch at Zein Shawarma. Had the beef wrap (in the pita) since the owner recommended pita bread over the saj for the beef wrap. Like you, I am a little hesitant to order beef because , just as you said, I find that beef can be hit or miss at some shawarma spots, but you are right - the beef wrap at Zein is terrific. Definitely going back. Looking forward to your coming videos. How about a video with your favorite falafel wraps/sandwiches in Toronto?

Dr laffa youre getting kosher meat which is much higher quality and justifies the extra cost. Definitely the best option in toronto.

One of the best and the older gen might remember it’s King Falafel Place closed in Dec 2016 due to the stupid LRT that’s taking decades yet no date for launch, it was located at Bathurst and Eglinton a nice family run business offered the tastiest shawarma made of lamb plus veal Drake was a regular customer 😊 and Nelly Furtado it was the best you could try in the area for three decades. Nice place also to try Empire Sjawarma on Lawrence Av East Scarborough if you come to Mississauga they Yasseen Shawarma around Eglinton TomKen rd Thx for the great video
