I am a computer science graduate I love the inputs you have shared if I am looking to create a start up in robotics what should be my area of focus?
I want to argue that it's not about 100% remote or WFO, but for the optionality of hybrid. With hybrid, the office environment suits different types of work styles. Personally having worked in hybrid, it's been great for certain days when I need to sit by myself and work and others when I do want that interaction part of the job (socializing, networking, brainstorming with others) Would also question, just because it's difficult, does that make 100% WFO the right choice? Curious if there is a follow up video :)
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the content! I enjoyed every minute of it.

Interesting fact: three of the five featured startups, Ready Robotics and Fifth Season vertical farming and Olive automation, have failed, as of Sept 2024
That’s a really interesting set of insights, thank you. I smiled at the burger recommendation point at the end.

Great, no hype, down to earth look at VC
Groupon is dead. Tech capital of China is Shenzhen not Shanghai. I'd say Shanghai is more like the financial capital. All the top Auditing/Consultancy firms are there.
Im space tech, do you know VCs who would be interested? Would yours?

thank you so much Chris! bravo for you and the team for making this video. it made my day!
Good overview but is there some video i can go to to learn the nitty gritty? Like how exactly venture firms do the valuations, the legal paperwork all that.
15:54 This dude saying technology is an "invention" lmao.
😅yeah I noticed that too. The english language is always evolving. Technology still has its original meaning but it now has a loosely defined parallel meaning of all businesses and industry related to the internet, coding and data processing.
9:38 Generating 1.2B from 0.3B would need ~18% net IRR. Pretty aggressive benchmark he is using. It would need a 24% gross IRR from the VC fund with a common 2/20 fee structure.
This is so well informative Thank you for putting this together! 🎉 From Tanzania 🇹🇿,Arusha

Thankyou so much Chris for this video. It was so insightful! Lot's of value in such a short period of time.
Thank you sir for teaching. Hope you have a blessed day!
"Building artificial intelligence that empowers and scales humans to achieve more than ever before" <- the company does insurance verification and billing. Obfuscation at its finest. No wonder they went out of business after devouring $900M from investors. Also, Nick's name is Solaro, not Solar.
Educative..I appreciate this😊
@meansgreensmeds
Incredible, there are thousands of videos on VCs and pitch decks and so on but barely any asking what VCs want or are looking for.
Root Insurance (Drive Capital backed): Nov 2020 IPO price $431.46 Oct 2023 (today) price $8.34 Nov 2021 price under $80 - Chris Olsen resigns from Board Dump on retail?? Curious how the other insurance companies fared and interesting how this was incubated internally...
What a fabulous video, wow. Thank you.

Well that would be impossible to do considering I'm in my late 50s and I'm more interested in investments that could set me up for retirement in my 60s, my goal is at least $2million.
As you plan your retirement, be sure to talk with a financial advisor who can help you make the most of your retirement investing scheme.
@@DavidAntony-gq7id Very true, If you're looking for help building a retirement nest egg, you most likely want a certified financial planner with expertise in retirement planning. With the aid of a coach, I grew my reserve from $160k to almost $600k during this Red season.
@@MarcusFred-wn3iv How can one find a verifiable financial Planner, I buy the idea of employing the services of a Financial Advisor because finding that balance between saving and living requires counsel.
@@DavidAntony-gq7id KRISTIN GAIL CUNNINGHAM. On the internet, that’s the financial advisor I use. She’s verified; you could also read more about her and then communicate with her. it’s always good to do your research before putting your money into any investment.
@@MarcusFred-wn3iv Thank you so much! Found her webpage and left a message. Hopefully, she responds.
