Worst Officiating in College Football History.wmv

This video shows six terrible calls by the officials in one College Football Bowl game. All six calls favored the same team. This is arguably the most badly called game in college football history.
Obama slips up on health care

Obama sliped up during his inaugural address and revealed his real agenda for health care. This is chilling.
1st call was correct. College can push oob. Second call was running into kicker and called correctly. 3rd was questionable for sure. 4th was awful (you're correct). 5th would've been declined anyway. 6th, I'd like a still frame, but it looked bad. Still, 2 bad calls and 1 questionable is not the worst ever.
There is no way the refs weren't paid off!
We got robbed in this one.
I’m a gators fan and this game pissed me off.
You woulda thought these were sec refs
One of two things is happening here 1. Those reffs were paid off 2. They had their heads firmly placed up their butts so far they fart qnd sneeze at the same time.
Iowa was robbed.
All refs in this game needed to be fired
I remember this game. It was ridiculous and clearly bias and I’m not a fan of either team.
This ranks up there with the officiating at the 2022 Alabama vs Tennessee game. After a performance like this, the refs should be banned from calling another game. Looks like a payoff for somebody somewhere.
Whats even more incredible is that Iowa was called for 8 penalties and Florida had none
12 men on the field was so sweet cause the ref was right in from of him lol.
I was watching this wondering how in the hell an officiating crew could be so blatantly bias, then I saw/remembered that Urban Meyer was Florida’s coach at the time. We know he has a limitless checkbook. Absolute disgrace not just to college football, but to all sports in general.
Truly disgusting I'm an SEC fan but this is highway robbery I remember this game couldn't believe my eyes and ears I heard that this game has been analyzed by hundreds of different referees committee members and so on and such forth truly unbelievable game clearly these guys hated Iowa in the Big ten but like I said on another comment Terry these guys are just like you and me they have their favorite teams and they have their teams that they can't stand it goes that way in all sports they are all referees and umpires are supposed to take an oath of non-partisanship but it doesn't work that way all the time it's the same way with announcers of games but just remember like I just said the umpires the referees they have their favorite teams and the teams they don't like or can't stand the most unbelievably bad called game in the history of not just college football of all sports combined
I remember how pissed I was after this game
I have said this before, and I will say this again, they should make offsides on kick offs reviewable. It cost Iowa the game here, and UNC the game many years ago when they played Clemson in the ACC Championship.
Great video, I had to watch some good Iowa plays after yesterday
Man I never watched this game. Some of the worst calls I have ever seen. 12 men on the field?? Come on ref, WTF? I hate it went the Ref controls the outcome of a game. Damn Florida refs
I'm willing to venture refs had money on the game or were getting paid.
Wow! All against Iowa. Makes you wonder.
Anytime I see games like this, I’ve gotta wonder what the betting was like and how much did the ref’s get paid…
Was there an investigation into this absolute atrocity?! I don't even remember hearing anything about this and the evidence is overwhelming that, at the very least, something's not right with all the bad calls, blatantly bad calls, going against only the 1 team!
Refs had to have some money on the line. One or two ludicrous calls, maybe, but this? They were dirty.
I remember the game. It was evident that the fix was in!
Video evidence that the NCAA couldn’t afford the B1G to compete with the SEC on equal footing and terms. The better team did not win that day. And not did the winning team deserve it.
Funny how refs tend to favor teams that have bigger audiences… aka bigger markets… aka more money for the ncaa.
That’s why 12 years later when Urban brought his infidel ass to Ohio State, he got it spanked by them Hawkeyes in Kinnick. So there was no way he was getting away with that stupid shit. Go Hawkeyes forever. #1 here we come
Incredible that every single one of these terrible calls favored Florida.
THE STAND
1. The momentum of the player would likely have kept him in bounds, but that's a guideline, not a rule. His first point of contact with the ground was out of bounds and it was appropriately labeled an incomplete pass 2. He ran into the kicker. It wasn't much, but it definitely happened and was appropriately called for a 5 yard penalty. 3. The facemask made contact with the helmet first (grazed him) and honestly, it very much looked like he was trying to hit hit leading with his helmet, but missed. The fact is, regardless of intent, he missed and it shouldn't have been called. Arguably, he was down and that should have been a late hit (under current rules, the QB gave himself up and it definitely would have been a late hit, but those weren't the rules at the time) 4. No question, they screwed that one up...no idea what they were thinking... 5. 12 men on the field, sure, but a five yard penalty would have been declined over a 10 yard gain. Yeah, perhaps a flag should have been thrown, but it would only benefit the Gators as they needed a breather (they were clearly gassed). 6. Yep; they blew that one too. Now show me the calls they missed for the other team.
To anyone saying that this is the worst officiated game in college football history (It was certainly one of the worst), go back and watch the Florida-Florida State game from 2003. That is the game that made college football get Instant Replay and Coaches’ Challenges.
folks was paid off😂🤣🤣🤣
Clemson Ohio State 2019 said "hold my beer" nah but this was hard to watch, as a fan of Urban Meyer, his team definitely should of lost this game
I remembered this game I'm a Florida fan but those refs we're ignorant like always.
On the very first call, I’m not sure there is a force-out rule in college as there is in the pros (The reasoning being that you only need to get 1 foot in); but part of his body landed inbounds anyway so it was a catch.
The dead giveaway was the sideline warning call. That was a set-up if they needed to call it later in the game, it would have actually cost Iowa yards.
That's my favorite one too, against LSU
These officials are awesome. Any officials who screw Kirk Ferentz are awesome.
Why do I keep clicking on this every time it shows up in my recommended? One of the only videos on TH-cam that genuinely affects my mood after I put my phone down.
#1 NCAA rules on sideline catches where the reciever is pushed out of bounds is an incomplete pass. If he were carried lets say on a shoulder it would be complete. In this case he was pushed out and the call is correct. Edit 1: #2 that running into the kicker call is called 95% of the time. #3 you can't dive into a sliding QB in any game. #4 was a bad call #5 was a bad call that didn't matter as Iowa picked up more yardage than they would have with the penalty. #6 bad call, but, bang bang. How many times do baseball refs call someone out who is safe? This should be a reviewable call due to the bang bang nature of the play. Nobodies eyes are that good.
My guy then we have a problem you can’t justify the face mask or the 12 man bro you just cannot
This looks like the Ohio State and Clemson game
Urban Meyer probably paid off the Refs
Sash to Hyde! Awesome.
that makes me embarrassed as a florida fan lol that was horrible calling
As soon as the Outback Bowl picked Iowa over Michigan (who had beaten Iowa), I thought the Fox was in. Iowa embarrassed Florida a couple of years before this game. It was payback, by any means possible. Including paying off these refs.
as a isu fan I like to watch Iowa suffer, but this isn’t right at all.
Iowa got revenge on Urban Meyer 55-24 in 2017.
Wow..first time seeing this. Very egregious. You couldn’t convince me that the refs didn’t have an agenda..not an Iowa not Florida fan.
rigged
The refs had a contract with the SEC.... "Yes sir, the check is in the mail...."
