Ravenswatch Early Access Review - Speedrun Roguelite
มุมมอง 420ปีที่แล้ว
In-depth review of Ravenswatch. I dive deep into the structure of the game and how it pushes the player to interact with all of it's systems. Of course it's a review for Early Access and not the full game. Full game review will come once the game is out. Overall the game has been amazing, but it's more of a combat sandbox rather than a game since it lacks content for now. Also sorry for the wei...
Meet Your Maker Review - Almost Amazing
มุมมอง 2.7Kปีที่แล้ว
We're taking a look at Meet Your Maker by Behavior Interactive, and giving it a review. Does Meet Your Maker live up to the hype? Or is it an overambitious game that falls short of expectations? It's arguably a mixed bag - but it's definitely worth a look if you're looking for a fun, genre-bending game to play. I doubt it will be the next Dead by Daylight, but it's probably gonna have it's smal...

Why AAA Games Fail - Sekiro Retrospective
มุมมอง 870ปีที่แล้ว
Let's explore what makes Sekiro, and games with similarly obsessive fanbases have such a strong following and why we still see a million of video essays on this game years after it's release, even in 2023. This video is more about player's journey to mastery in Sekiro, my glowing recommendation of it and why it's usually indies and smaller budget games that see the 'cult classic' status rather ...
Have a Nice Death Review - SO MUCH MISSED POTENTIAL
มุมมอง 9Kปีที่แล้ว
The hardest review I've ever had to make. The first one was much easier. In this review for an upcoming roguelike for Switch and PC "Have a Nice Death", I will explore why it's had me completely torn on whether to recommend buying it or not. While the combat is some of the best I have ever played with in SOME aspects, in other areas it falters really hard. "Have a Nice Death" is a game that pro...
Video Games Are NOT FUN Anymore? OK Boomer.
มุมมอง 2.1Kปีที่แล้ว
One of the biggest reasons that people might think video games aren't fun anymore is because they feel like they've played everything there is to play or that the corporate greed has completely taken over the gaming industry, so it's on it's decline. In the video I will explore the most common argument I hear for this point of view and why I think it's merit's don't stand on it's own two feet a...
ULTRAKILL Review - OVERRATED or really a MASTERPIECE

*Missed potential is believable:* -The lore seems jumbled, lacking coherency -Employee and Boss interactions which explain the situation are hard to follow (even the back and forth can be convoluted) -explanations for time and life’s motivations as villains is impossible to grasp at first sight, whereas in other titles it’s pretty easy to understand -even after figuring out Time and Life’s plan, there is still a lot to be desired lore wise. -the solution to the story is ultimately a bad decision, framed as a good one, that doesn’t resolve anything *On the other hand, gameplay and music wise it is incredibly well done:* -the movement of Death is wonderfully fluid -the variation of weapons allows for a player of every walk of life to find a pace in combat on a weapon they enjoy -the many abilities in the game make for fun combination and play styles (curses and bonuses encouraging you to try different builds each run making the ability mechanic great) -the enemies feel balanced with each stage and are pretty easy to handle alone, but in groups can make a more difficult challenge as you have to learn their mechanics. -the mechanics of both the game and enemies are fairly easy to learn (Base enemies have 1 attack, big enemies have 2, thanagers have 3-5, sorrows have 6-8, and final has 9) -music flows wonderfully with the gameplay, making each stage and combat scenario feel unique -the album for the game features some banger soundtracks, making use of a combination of different instruments, including the sounds of specific objects and voices to help make the stages feel different from each other. -the art-style is fantastic, nuff said -the boss fights, oh man, they are all great. Even if some are challenging, each is visually distinct from the other through slight color variations as well as game mechanics they feature and the lessons they teach you. (Brad is is an easy intro, Grimes a hulking brute that covers the screen in muck, Waldo a technical wizard that encourages precision to avoid his assaults, Krank is a tank that teaches you backstabbing is key, Maxxx a bullet hell boss that punishes you for being greedy, The Majors deadly bombardments motivate you to go on the defensive and find short breaks for damage, Immuras shapeshifting tricks remind you to be cautious, and time is the culmination of all those tricks with a bit of emphasis on patience, y’know time and all) Overall a great game that I continue to play here and there

I was very scared of this game. And I mean literally terrified. Due to a psychotic episode I experienced, the world of Ultrakill was extremely disturbing to me. My experience hasn’t only been enjoyable, it’s been *cathartic* . The only thing I now wish is that I was brave enough to go into it blind. I watched a lot of footage before installing it so I could make sure I wouldn’t regret the purchase. Unfortunately, there’s too much magic in this game for you to spoil it. I envy those who go into this game blind. If you are reading this, stop watching TH-cam videos on the game (except this one ;) and just start your descent into hell. Turn off the lights, make sure it’s 3am, and lock in.

I know this review is 1 year old (and the creator hasnt uploaded in a year, in fact), but I kinda disagree on most points (despite finding most of your reviews very on point, like the Sekiro one). I found that this game requires basically broken builds to be able to beat a run, but unlike many others (like Isaac, for example) is absolutely easy to break, and has MANY builds that can break it. This makes it very fun and challenging. This contrasts to my experience in Dead Cells, another game I love, but a game where the meta was found immediately and, after that, every single run I looked for exactly the same build. My biggest recomendation for anyone reading this is to try it for yourselves, since I hadnt had so much fun in a roguelike since Hades was released.

Sisyphus Prime is a muscular, luminescent humanoid. His golden translucent body gives a clear view of his circulatory system, which seems to be the only organs present, similarly to Minos Prime. His head is a sun-like ball of light, with his face only visible as a red outline in the light. His hands and feet are coated with blood akin to his followers. Upon entering his second phase, his limbs are covered in more blood and he also gains long hair and a full beard, suggesting his Prime form has further developed under the stress of combat.

One thing worth mentioning about the training dummy enemies: it fails to prepare you for bosses. If the build up from each floor is so pathetically easy, you don’t have much incentive to improve your skills and thus when you go up against bosses who can’t be stunned so easily you tend to struggle a LOT because the game hasn’t been teaching you the necessary skills for success

I like this video and i agreed with the take gameing isn't dead there are so many good games out there but i think the reason why i think people are saying this is because the amount of games that people like that turn to shit or aren't good and are Just made to make money example Some examples That I can think of right now Call of Duty battlefield Overwatch Halo Madden FIFA 2K And Diablo (I have heard good things about it i don't really know though i didn't play it) A lot of these games People love and aren't the same and the Companies that made them are not in a good spot And also there's been an increase in less quality In games that were Expected to be good but there are still a lot of great new games that you can play Especially from Indy studios Like the rise of Battle bid hopefully these new Studios Can continue to make a new games and the AAA studio can learn or just get replaced

Hope Vampire Squid does add more content to MEATGRINDER and I played it for the first time the day of writing this comment and unlocked all 13 of the game's existing achievements on Steam in just around the third hour that I burned on playing it. I was giving MEATGRINDER as a Steam gift birthday present from my dad this year and played each of my birthday gifts of Steam games except for this until what I mentioned in my first sentence of this comment. MEATGRINDER clearly was inspired by those custom maps from fellow indie shooter Prodeus where you jumped from automobile roof to automobile roof. That's pretty much what MEATGRINDER's entire gameplay is that exact customed map from Prodeus! I love the idea of the grapple hook coming from your leg rather than either your arm or your double barrel shotgun! Nice video by the way. I also wasn't too keen with the level where you're inside the Dune like worm!
