Today you said that some Christians hide themselves in convents to avoid persecution, etc. Truly, what you said is NOT right. Monks & Nuns do lots of WORK: teaching at the Catholic schools, working at churches, visiting hospitals & families, visiting prisoners, working with the homeless and doing missionary work, to name a few. Also, they pray & sing daily for 5 hrs - & they rise very early to pray. St. James said that prayers of true Christians bear lots of fruit (James 5). Frankly, God will judge us for whatever we say & do; the Gospel says that our work will follow us for eternity. I hope you will correct this misconception & apologize to your listeners. I believe that those who apologize for their mistakes are honest and brave people. So there is a place you can go to give up all your worldly possessions, your family, your life, your freedom, sex, future, time, and live imprisoned from the world, and to pray to a God who you don't have a shred of evidence even exists. A place to live in direct opposition of the first words your alleged creator told humanity which was to go forth and be fruitful. Nowhere in the Bible is this marriage to God nonsense found in scripture, and these people are the biggest victims in human history.

I didn't "conveniently" leave it out. there was, as I said, no room for the whole quote. And yes, it does say that homosexual acts are disordered. Who cares what other animals do? We are not them. Does anything about my quote say anything about condemning them to a loveless life? No. It actually commands us to love them.

You conveniently left out that it goes on to say "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law." How STUPID is this? If you look at almost every species in NATURE you will see homosexuality. Homosexuality is as natural as Heterosexuality. Neither is better than the other, both are part of NATURE. THE CHURCH DOES CONDEMN GAYS to a loveless , UNNATURAL asexual life against their NATURAL calling. What is truly "disordered" is catholicism.

The church doesn't condemn people simply for being gay nor does it say it's their fault. If you meet a Catholic who condemns or who bullies anyone simply for being gay, give them Catechism paragraph 2358 "...They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives..." (it won't all fit w/ a 500 character limit) and a punch in the face from me.

I disagree.....but lets just say youre right. You said "there's not enough research yet." and that it MIGHT be a disorder. Then I think the best thing to do until we find out FOR SURE is to leave gay people in peace to lead their lives as they see fit without condemning them as "sinners" for something that is most probably NOT THEIR FAULT. The Catholic church is indeed responsible for destroying families of gay chidren. For gay bullying. For gay suicides. It's a fact.

Actually, what little research has been done on the subject (which isn't enough to be conclusive yet) suggests that homosexuality is basically a birth defect that is the result of certain unnatural chemicals introduced into the mother's system while pregnant. Again, nothing is conclusive yet, but to say that scientific, medical, and psychological conclusions say they are not disordered is simply false because there's not enough research yet. Even the APA stated recently it might be a disorder.

The catholic church is responsible for ruining countless families throughout humanity who have had a gay family member. To call gay people "intrinsically disordered" is against any scientific medical and psycholgical conclusion which says they ARE NOT disordered. It's irresponsible, its wrong and it's evil

The Catholic church isn't demolishing them, the Church teaches that we shouldn't judge them that we should respect that they are going through a difficult time in their life and we should pray for them, it's not as negative as you seem to think it is.

Many "nuns" are lesbians...and I'd be willing to bet it's highly probable this woman speaking is a closet lesbian. The catholic church demolishes the gay way of life, they are denied equality, denied the right to marriage. It's no wonder that the woman speaking became a nun. Many gay catholics become nuns and priests..this is so sad. Gay catholics BE YOURSELVES...you are who you are and dont listen to the catholic church. Dont let them ruin you ! I grew up catholic, was taught in school from grade 1--12 by nuns. All of them are missing a wheel upstairs.....for them to promote a life such as theirs which is based on absolutely ZERO evidence completely angers me. It angers me that any young woman who has so much to live for would fall into that BASELESS trap because of their propoganda. Their religion, their bible, their god has not a SHRED of evidence for it being true, yet they ruin lives promoting their senseless way of life.

Don't you think the woman has a say in who she loves and wants to devote her life too? I'm sure you've all heard this a thousand times, but I'll say it again: What a shame they remove themselves from the company and presence of men who might need them. Instead, these men have no one.
