GNX only had 12 songs therefore it’s not going stream as much as the 20 song projects from his peer of artist. Had Kendrick put 10 more songs on GNX he definitely would have outsold “For All The Dogs” which only outsold GNX by 83k while also having 11 more songs than GNX. Let’s be honest here, if Kendrick really cared about numbers he would loaded this album with filler and added NLU which would have counted to the total album units sold as well. You guys had a few things wrong about the bundle situation, you can still sell physical albums such as vinyls, cassette tapes, digital downloads and have them count towards your first week numbers as long as you ship out the physical product within the first week. Another reason to pint out this wasn’t about the numbers, Kendrick physicals weren’t available immediately and when he did launch them they won’t ship out until march 1st, so all the people that bout the physicals didn’t count towards first week sales. You can no longer bundle an album with merchandise such as clothing, accessories, tour tickets, etc… Another thing when Alicia was going through Kendrick’s sales thought his career, she said Kendrick sold one million for DAMN and TPAB, which is not true as it pertains to first week sales, she might have been quoting overall units sold since their release. Kendrick’s first week numbers go as follows S80 5k GKMC 242k TPAB 324k DAMN 603k (bundles were in play here since it was legal at the time, 353k sold by streaming alone) MM&TBS 295k GNX 319k
