I also ordered the bw because the e ink technology is crisp af. The color technology is not there yet so I'll skip a few generations for that. I have seen when you install koreader on it gets even better. I even played with some programs with calibre and I can not only switch kindle books formats to pub or kpub but also audible audibooks. Koreader has a better dark mode and can go into portrait mode etc.

Missing landscape function. Any solution for landscape?

You made a smart choice. I’ve had the KLC for about a few weeks and the battery life wasn’t that good for me (I used the stylus a lot for notebook features and writing in the ebook and brightness) I decided to not use the stylus to conserve battery (with also turning WiFi down) and then lower the brightness but it is true that the screen is darker, although this did help with battery life. With some font adjustments it is legible but the darkness was becoming noticeable for me, maybe from watching comparison videos? Reading with my children in short time frames is great 😊 but in my experience, not for how I want to use it, longer reading sessions. Soooo, I am now getting the Kobo Clara BW. And keeping the KLC to read with my kids 😊

Can I download books from websites or browsers? Or is it just limited to the kobo store?. Also will the kobo clara color give me eye strain
