I wish SEPTA did that it would make it so much easier, but unfortunately the only way to get one is at sales offices, some retail locations and the most popular way is by Kiosks and those are everywhere at Bus loops, subway and train stations.

No problem, the day pass is used for Trans Link Transit and SkyTrain, on Transit buses you tap in, on the SkyTrain you tap in and out.

When I went, I got my tickets 2 months before I left, and there were plenty of seats to choose from. I went during the midpoint of June, have fun, it's a great trip, will never forget it.

@brandytran4583 Booking early is never a problem, it's only when you book too late. It is a fantastic trip to go on have fun.

If your child is 11 to 15 you can buy a visitor oyster Card then when at a London Underground station or visitor centre, you can get a staff member to add the young visitor discount to the card. The discount will give your child a 50% off adult fare for up to 14 days, I hope this helps enjoy your vacation in London.

You are correct, the turnstile that has the green arrow is the one that will work for you to help you get to where your going, the ones with the red light will not work for you for the opposite reason, so the turnstiles that are green are the ones that are working I didn't say they are broken.

@shabbirmanji4190 you can get a Travel Card, but the minimum time is 1 day or 7 days, you can pre set a price for a couple days ordering an oyster visitor card.

@shabbirmanji4190 when you get an oystercard at a ticket machine you can buy a 1 day travelcard or 7 day and it's put on your oystercard, or you can order a visitor oystercard and have it delivered by mail with a preset amount of money you prepay for it. I have a video on it on my channel.

Makes sense PATCO doesn't make it easy to get a Freedom Share Card

@TravelTricks741 when PATCO finally made the share card available in September 2018 after stalling around for months, I went to the so called Freedom card customer service kiosk in Woodcrest station. A rent a cop type asked me my business there. I told him I was there to get the Freedom Share card. He told me almost threateningly to go to the Freedom card kiosk in Broadway station in Camden. Wouldn't tell me why I couldn't get it at Woodcrest. So backtrack to Broadway Camden where I did get the Freedom Share card, and told the employees there what happened at Woodcrest. One of em called Woodcrest and sort of crowbarred the information out of em to the effect that first week of Freedom Share card availability, 45 minutes after opening to Freedom Card customers, they had no more Freedom Share cards to issue. I think at the most they had just one or two in case anyone showed up for one.

Absolutely it is a great option if you're going by car, Portsmouth and Southampton are great choices depending on the individual, I really liked the Southampton route myself.

​@@TravelTricks741Glad that you did the Southampton route. I used to use the car ferry (I lived on the island for 13 years) even just as a foot passenger. Additionally, there is a nice train route from Southampton to London. It's longer but the scenery is better. You go via Barnham, Gatwick Airport and Redhill. The train goes along the River Arundel. If anyone flies into Gatwick, that is a better option. Cheers.

Waterloo is a fantastic choice from Heathrow Airport to Portsmouth station, depending on departure times, when the trains arrive, it is a difference of minutes, depending the time of day, that is a great option thank you for your input.

If your going to be travelling in 2 or more fare zones, or using the skytrain, sea bus or buses frequently in a day, the day pass is the better option. If your occasionally going to use it, and stay in a one zone then the compass card is the better option. You just press the choice on the machine. There is only a pass for one day, so you would need to get a day pass everyday in that case.

The TransLink website says that if you buy the day pass at the SkyTrain machine you must use it that day. If you buy it at a retailer you can use it in the future (or same day). List of retailers is on the website.

Yes contactless payment options are fantastic especially for people living in the UK. I do have a video with all those options posted, but depending where the viewer lives, what foreign fees their credit card charges per purchase, or their age, a oyster card is for some a preference which is why this video is posted. Its usefull for people like me iam staying since 11 months in london i use more TFL buses i have 18+ oyster card i buy a monthly bus pass of 66.50£

I don't know of 10 pubs personally, but from my experiences, the best I've encountered were Jack's Quinn's, Wyatt's, Alchemy, and The Public House were all really good. Prices, Food and environment were fantastic.

It is a great option, especially for those who live in the UK, but depending on the individual, it may not be the best choice. I do have a video on other ways to use the London Underground without an oyster card, but this is just for those who prefer to get one.

As long as the 7 day Travelcard is valid for the zone it's being used on, you can use it for unlimited travel. Have a great vacation!

I completely see your point, I am sure in the future this will be an option, they did just add a contactless option using the Orca Card for OS watches and Google Wallet on android phones.

At the moment, it is to start in mid 2025 you won't need to apply for an ETIAS

Vancouver is a beautiful city I'll be doing some more shoots for next year, and will be making a video in more detail places to take a full family. So I'll be adding some places outside the downtown area to explore.
