warren was my uncle i have a copy of this on tape..the front shot pic is of an older CAN DO not the GRAMPUS-CAN DO form the story. i have that pic in real life.. the GRAMPUS was moored in back of my house till about ten years ago it never moved for years and it got sold...i missed seeing it. but it very cool old boat but a sad reminder of this story...i wish they made a movie about this..i red the book also. thanks

Play all the movies From 4:00 pm to 10:00 am Where they play all the movies overnight in between movies they have food and drinks Not allowed to bring it in the theater. This is not the classic Nimoy introduction. In that one, they ran through a full sound check and didn’t need to introduce Nimoy as if people wouldn’t recognize the name.

but..... isnt this bootlegging or copywriting bc it belonged, to the museum of science and I assume still does, that's WHY we have said (when I worked there), NO recording devices even during the intro.... unless, someone hire up said it was okay just during the intro, after that NO recording no still images nothing

I went to the Omni Theater today for the first time in decades and I was so disappointed not to see the intro I remember. I came to TH-cam to find it. Thank you for capturing and posting this nostalgia.

I've just come back from my first trip to the omni theater in about 20 years. I used to go to every new imax showing when i was younger, and though i still love the new digitized and globally focused intro..... there's something so nostalgic about this one. Thank you for posting it.

I’m a Bostonian and this sound is so nostalgia brings back so many memories! I’m not even in my twenties yet I’m still a teen but I haven’t been back here since 2018 I believe then Covid happened I’m hoping this year I’ll be able to go again with my younger siblings!

The best feeling in the world is when you hear other people speaking along with the intro. I know this by heart and I’m glad that somebody had the mind to record just this and put it on TH-cam for everyone to enjoy.
