She did wrong, but she's only 19 and grew up in an environment where her countrymen hated her family for trying to assimilate into Garlean rule and Garleans hated her for not being Garlean. Worst cutscene in the entire game. Minfilia basically used wish to become the emissary of another player's god, then claimed his roleplay purpose was finished. There are no evident results of minfilia's efforts. We just have to pretend that ardbert's journey was finished here. I say minfilia tempers people.

It was definitely worth the wait, to be able to whoop their asses after the BS they put Haseo through in Vol. 1
