RR lacks a fundamental aspect of racing games: Reading out your checkpoint times, so you know how fast you took a certain section of the track. This would speed up skill evolution by instantly letting racers know if their new line is faster or not rather than having to put together 3 consistent flying laps just to invalidate/validate a theory. (I know there's Time Trials but it seems those only allow for 1 lap runs where techs change slightly on lap 2 because of the built up momentum from the last lap) That and the "I'm glad I quit if this is what competitive RR looks like" part. It's no longer how efficiently you race a fun line that's easy to get into casually, it's about how many times you can repeat a straight-line glitch.

I've been Unreal Rank twice now in Rocket Racing, the first time felt pretty fun to improve my skills and reach that rank but the second time was the opposite, felt pretty stressful just to get back there. Probably didn't help that my second time getting there was after the themed updates being stopped, so most players in ranked I'd race against were of way higher skill than me.

Regarding some things mentioned: 1. The Featured Track hasn't been updated in literally months, definitely not daily or weekly 2. Seasons are no more, the last Season ended like October 2024 and they haven't added any new maps since like halfway through that season, now it's just rank resetting and no new content except the obvious collab cars they can sell you for $30. 3. Save the World DOES still get new content, more than RR actually ironically. New Heroes, Weapons, bosses, and entirely new missions even. And well, it gets like 10000x the play count (usually around 25K while RR gets on average 2.5K a day) So yeah, for all intents and purposes, it's basically dead. The low play counts is one thing but not having any new features, modes, tracks, and barely any bug fixes in 4 months is nuts, I still personally enjoy it though. Too bad most of the UEFN maps are hot garbage cause otherwise, they easily could essentially "hand it off to the community", simply curating the best maps and adding them to the official rotation to keep the content fresh but they haven't done any of that cause everyone just wants to make car obby and mega ramps.

Btw, none of the farms that are credited to shulkercraft were actually designed by them. They didn't exactly steal these designs, but rather just made tutorials on them without crediting the originial creator. But after the technical minecraft community called them out they have since changed their ways so that's pretty cool

Epic completely Fumbled the bag with Rocket Racing. The physics feel like your driving hollow shells with no weight or momentum. There are practically no modes, no new cosmetic types, no QOL fearures, no battle pass, nothing. This was their ONE chance to appeal to the racing community (which has been on the decline for the last decade) and they FUMBLED IT.

I dont play as much as i used too but i still dabble in this game. It had so much potential but money was more important to epic :( I know some stuff that was actually planned and happened to this game behind the scenes if you ever wanna chat and make a video about it.

They should of gave more XP for Battle pass per race, and Rewards should of been based on how much you play it instead of ranked, I was Champ Season Zero and Neon Rush and Unreal Inferno Island and last season. I played alot.

I stil play RR every single day im so excited for the cars collab we are supposedly getting lightning mcqueen tow mater 4 tracks and 1 or 2 challenge sets

Hey great video man! But how did you add your tools and armor durability to the side of your screen?

The “too many maps” part is something I only kind of agree on. Looking at games like Trackmania, they have even more maps coming out on the regular, but a lot of them still get attention. I think the issue is related, but slightly different: it’s too easy to make a map for the format of the game. A lot of games that include level builders come with exploration tabs for people to find new levels, even algorithms to give them the opportunity to gain traction and become popular. For Rocket Racing, any actually good track gets just as much exposure in game as all the “Mega Ramp” or “Obby Race” maps in that even a brain-rot-obsessed small child could throw together. It’s pretty demoralizing to potential creators to see the recent tab (the only way to find custom tracks without doing a Creative-wide keyword search) covered in mediocre-at-best tracks, and the genuinely good maps get flushed away to both-impossible-to-find menus almost immediately. If Fortnite wants its user-created content to be a genuinely good system, they could just add some Super Mario Maker-like menus. But Battle Royale will (though not always has) been the main focus.

String farm for emeralds and xp in early game

I just started going through created islands, and downloaded the engine. Big ols and Opal have a lot of great stuff too. I'll try to start streaming while I try to learn the program. Anybody else you could recommend? The end of any dev made tracks/season really f'd me up. im gonna try to make some

im at 68% of champion right now and i hope i can get to unreal before the reset that is coming in two weeks, mind you i had only played until gold on season 0 and never touched the game again, i ranked from diamond 1 to elite in one sitting and it has taken me almost the same amount of time to get close to unreal. in theory if i win 11 more matches im there but im not good enough to do it consistently in most tracks, hopefully i can get it tomorrow with a lot of work

The harder thing about a new account is that if youve played rocket racing before, if gives you a higher rank per game, like the new account you used, you got to bronze 1 the first game, and On my main account, I got gold 3 my first game of the season
