Good video
Deer was like ,am I hit am I hit am I hit,
Love it. i remember those days before I got hurt, doing that a couple of times, bravo!! Congrats
Gotta pull and clean all the teeth out brotha They’re full of junk
Great video and great looking mount I’m working on a similar amount and the horns are also pretty cracked on the outer portion However, when I use a grinder with a flappy wheel, it seems like it’s scratching more of the horn than I would prefer Do you happen to know what grit flappy wheel you use? Did it look like it was leaving scratches before you put the polyurethane on it? Thank you
The flapper wheel is for getting the big gouges and scratches out. Then I take a fine grit sandpaper and hand sand the horn to get the small scratches out.
Perfect thank you!
Simply dug in an antheave they will clean him
What mixture do you put in the first boil?
Water, baking soda and dish soap.
@@indiantrailoutdoors Thx
How long do you leave it in the boiling whitening solution?
I'm Brazilian and thanks for the video, we don't have this breed of ox here, only with smaller horns, we have the girolando breed but it's still smaller than the long horn, I like to macerate skulls, and I learned a little more from your video, win a subscriber.
I used the gorilla Gel super glue it wont run on you.
That’s sweet man
Whatever you do, DON'T wear gloves!!! They only protect your hands. Just kiddin', nice job! Thanks for the video.
Great video!
does it make the bone brittle?
Not of any significance.
The definition of luck

Looks awesome but I bet it didn’t smell great when you were taking the torch to it
Looks ok! Nothing I would do or want after spending 3 hrs cleaning an Bleaching to get White!

Desnecessário, muita crueldade.
Ahhh I like to call that dance move the no brainer😂😂🫡
How long do you boil?
It depends but once the meat on top of the head splits it’s done.
Very interesting. Very nice work!
Why are you looking for sheds? Are they needed for research?
Just a hobby he probably hunts that land so he is probably getting them so he can see what’s on the property too
I love them🥹🥹
What do you think about jaxex for whitening and sterilizing? Awesome video
Thank you. I haven’t tried jaxex before so I can’t say.
Just a tip, same as sandpaper but a wire brush will lighten up the stain as well and allow you to get in and around the knobs at the base of the antlers.
Excellent tutorial! I really appreciate your replies in the comments as it helped me understand the tradeoffs use have used vs other methods. Could you show close ups of the nose s of the big batch you completed please or describe how much is left intact? I like leaving a bit of the nasal bones if possible by not using a pressure washer but just a garden hose with pinpoint nozzle for "up the nose" spraying, and then picking out the residue, but it take SO MUCH TIME to get them really clean. Your method is so much quicker. What is your experience on how to not totally blow out ALL the nasal cavity bones?
I typically don’t worry about messing up the nasal bones too much. Just get it clean and move on.
I use 3 percent at a rate of 1 to 4 haven't seen an issue why us a high percentage peroxide?
I’ve used that ratio as well but it seemed good for only one or two batches. The higher percentage last longer.
@@indiantrailoutdoors thanks
Bro was sniffing horizontally
It dried crooked
Or it’s rack could’ve been
How much do you charge for you deer heads just curious
$125
Looks mint just did a moose head and it came out great
When you sanded down the horn what grit did you use and in the video you used the angle grinder is that the only time you sanded it? The process in the video seemed to be a lot quicker process if you don’t have to go through the different grits of sandpaper. I’m assuming that’s why you polyurethaned it?
I worked up in grit to make it smoother until I liked the finish. Then I polyurethaned it for a shiny finish.
Apakah itu di jual😮
Nice work brother. Thanks for the specifics and the tips.
