Thanks. Figured out an easier way for Elf Connect from in Console but hadn’t figured out Gold in Elf Minder
Could barely hear anything.
Indirectly we all are poor😂😂
Which device is this? Do I have the parts to build in on hand?
its the CYD or Cheap Yellow display its tft screen with a esp32 built in
👍
I'm currently using this Cogsworth City kit. It's pretty good, and absolutely a good value, but by no means is it a complete teaching solution for the absolute beginner (the public to whom it's marketed). My first problem was that, as shown in your video, there are 40 resistors included, with 10 each of four resistance values --- 220 Ohms, 1k, 10k, and 100k Ohms. They're all identical in appearance, as far as I can see, and the only way to tell them apart is with the brown tape/labels holding them together by their ends. I knew that, once I actually started using those resistors in my lessons, I'd have a huge jumble of lookalike parts with different Ohm values and no way to ID them unless I bought an Ohm meter and tested each one whenever I looked for a resistor of a specific value. This kept me from actually using the kit for several weeks, until I decided to attach small paper sticky labels to each resistor showing its value before I detached any of them from the brown tape. Secondly, this kit is my first experience with a breadboard. One of the first 6 lessons said something that Inventr.io assumed the student knew about a breadboard ("attach this jumper to the ground rail."), and I had to stop and google "what is the ground rail on a breadboard". I did more breadboard research before I went back and continued that lesson. I found a good article and video from Instructables that explained the breadboard's parts, the way in which many of its pin holes are internally connected while others are not, and the purpose of the double-sided tape on the breadboard's underside. Despite these setbacks, I still find it a fun learning tool. Each lesson page on the website includes at the top an image of the story characters. The images are beautiful artwork (possibly AI-generated), clickable, and are large enough to make nice wallpapers for my monitor. A little value-add.

@463n7 is this marauder?

Actual buyer here. Had some problems identifying the 3 "extras" but an email got a next day response with the answers. Have now dived into half a dozen lessons and they are first rate. Whether you're a kid or an adult they will teach you the basics. I messed with electronics as a kid back in the '50s with a Radio Shack tube kit and later several Heath Kits. My 8th grade graduation present was a Heath Kit Oscilloscope. Over 500 parts and they all had to be hand soldered! No integrated circuits or microprocessors existed at the time. The educational and vocational value was outstanding.
Good to hear the lessons were good I havnt had the opportunity to go through them yet

What is this? This is programm on key?
Yeah it's a program that came loaded on this little usb device
i have this . and i have wifi but no sound drivers. if anyone knows who to fix
The famous display. I still haven't gotten hands on one. Lol
There are multiple versions and i want them all lol
This PC is not upgradable. Try Linux install instead of Windows and use it as a glorified cellphone.
Interesting! Orange Pi 5 MAX could also work if someone made a m.2 WiFi hat for it. For the WiFi highest sensitivity, one could attach electronics to a vehicle's sealing. And have custom 1-channel narrow bandwidth antennas poking through the roof with very short cables.
I got this but it did not come with any instructions for the projects. How do you get the step by step instructions for projects that we can do with this?
Online at their website
As mentioned it's on their website inventr.io
Hey got the bw16 flashed, and confirmed it to be working but when I try to do that final serial confirmation. I’m not getting any response not reacting to the space bar or anything it’s live on device manager and all is right but no response. Even used my other usb-uart and double triple checked my jumpers. Any ideas?
Strange. Using the right baud rate? Connecting to the proper rx/tx? Connecting rx>tx and tx>rx (this always gets me lol)?
last year they offered the 30 day Adventure set with bonus are for around $70 +s/h
Sell these still?
Not currently I have moved to focusing on my upgraded version the signal sleuth.
I wouldn't waste my $ on the robotic arm if I were you. Way too many negative reviews out there on it.
Thanks for letting me know. I have been looking at some of the open source robot arms. Some are really complex.
Nice man! Thanks for sharing, I may have to give this a try.
No problem! It's one of those things that's the perfect hand out at cons and other get togethers
👍
I dont trust it imeaditly after seeing ai images for there marketing
Yeah they really are just reselling kits that you can find on AliExpress and the like If there is any value it should be in the training/instructions but i have not had time to go through those yet
do you have e any videos of how this case goes together. what holds the boards i. there securely etc?
They just screw on sandwiching the main board in between.
After a whole year of me struggling, this video fixed it. Had to update my board manager. Set XCLK MHz to 30 on the web page GUI to get the camera to not be so laggy Thanks for the help
Glad it helped
what is the setup here. line in? or digital microphone?
Digital mic specifically the INMP441
Cool Video! Wardriving with the raspberry pi works great with an alfa awus036axml without any installations on PI OS. For browsing and data connection I use the tp link acu1300 high gain which depending on signal strength receives 200 to 300 mBits easily. The Antenna could be pretty solid for wardriving yeah
I'll have to play around with it! Thanks for the comment.
👍 Don't feel bad, I still haven't gotten around to buying one. 😂
I'm behind. Need to knockout 106 and 107. Nice tshirt and nice video!
Thanks! yeah i still have many previous boxes to do but figured i just need to start with the current and move forward.
@Geek Cash™ Golei 1 pro PDA Rugged Aproved...!!! Vídeo tested pad!!
Ok. This knuckledragger will read the rest of the posts but this seems effing cool as eff. Why did this take so long to arrive and get pooped on immediately? So many of of us knuckledraggers were screaming for this over a decade ago. Laptop are lame. Tablets are red headed stepchilds of laptops, which suck as well. Is there any other offering in yhe sub $400 range that has a screen?
So what has been my favored thing to use Is to pick up an older Microsoft surface. I have a surface pro 4 and a surface pro 7 both can be had second hand for cheaper then $400. Any other windows tablet would do the same though.
Another video of what seems like the same product appeared to have a heat pipe setup. /The rabbit hole gets deeper //Nerds today are so spoiled ///Nerd
They did come out with a second version i didn't bother picking it up because i ended up never using this first version.
The bigger the gob, the better the job!
I’m gonna move this viewing operation over the computer, back in a second
I'm getting an error trying to flash board B. V:\wardriver\B\B.ino:392:60: error: cannot convert 'BLEScanResults' to 'BLEScanResults*' in initialization.... Any ideas?
I usualy see that when the ESP board version is too new in Arduino
@@463n7 I think you are right. I'm that dude you mentioned in the video. I changed the version of Arduino ESP32 instead of the other one.
Same result using 2.0.12 for the board manager. It errors out during compiling.
@donmccoy207 are you using the newest version of the wardriver.uk firmware or an older version. I know there has been an update, but haven't tried it myself. I have also had some say going to an older version of arduino ide fixed it. Like im on 2.3.2
I was able to flash it using the binary and esptool steps from Joesph's github.
Where do we get the battery trays from?
The 3d print file or the actual battery PCB
@@463n7 the part that holds the battery and snaps into the 3d printed frame
Pcb
@billylake5999 amazon or aliexpress I linked on on Amazon in the video description after you asked yesterday
ahh, i want one but i'm poor
👍
Make a video once you have the entire collection available please! I want to see all the versions in one spot :D thinking of printing one version with that 10000mah lipo battery, even if the pcb is the same inside.
Ill do my best to get them all for sure and can do an over view once i do.
So...yes I agree :D firstly, adding an antenna is a pain indeed, I removed that capacitor, bridged the points, added external antenna and...nothing :)) even if I bridged the first 2 points back it couldn't see any networks after, but the good thing is that I found some bw16 with external antennas at the same price, will test them in the coming days. I remember when I left the gps pins too long and they were touching the sim800l back plate and I was wondering why I don't get any fix :)) Both versions looking awesome but I have a question: isn't the one with battery pack getting too hot? My 2 pack one get around 60 C in my pocket and I am kinda afraid to walk with 2 hot 18650 in my pocket:D
I haven't noticed it getting hot and I ran it almost 10 hours non stop one day. Where did you find the BW16 already ready for external antennas? I have been trying to find a source so people dont have to do the mod
@@463n7 I will send you the links on insta
Gotta get my hands on that pcb! 📡📡
Thanks for all this work. It's been a great project to follow and build. This is probably a stupid question, but do I need separate screws for the case? I've printed the case but haven't finished building the PCB yet and trying to get ahead of things. Thanks again for putting this all out there.
The screws I sent with it will work with the case as well... Thanks for the order! please share once you get it together!
@@463n7 Thanks for the fast reply - much appreciated. Will be building more tomorrow!
That is super slim!! nice work.
Thanks!
What is it used for, if you explain a little please 🥺🥺🥺
It's for wardriving. Check out the videos on my channel. I have one that specifically goes over what wardriving is
Wow, those are awesome!
Thanks!
👍
thanks for putting all the links, susbcribed
No problem!
