Cool Video! Wardriving with the raspberry pi works great with an alfa awus036axml without any installations on PI OS. For browsing and data connection I use the tp link acu1300 high gain which depending on signal strength receives 200 to 300 mBits easily. The Antenna could be pretty solid for wardriving yeah
I'll have to play around with it! Thanks for the comment.
👍 Don't feel bad, I still haven't gotten around to buying one. 😂
I'm behind. Need to knockout 106 and 107. Nice tshirt and nice video!
Thanks! yeah i still have many previous boxes to do but figured i just need to start with the current and move forward.
@Geek Cash™ Golei 1 pro PDA Rugged Aproved...!!! Vídeo tested pad!!
Ok. This knuckledragger will read the rest of the posts but this seems effing cool as eff. Why did this take so long to arrive and get pooped on immediately? So many of of us knuckledraggers were screaming for this over a decade ago. Laptop are lame. Tablets are red headed stepchilds of laptops, which suck as well. Is there any other offering in yhe sub $400 range that has a screen?
So what has been my favored thing to use Is to pick up an older Microsoft surface. I have a surface pro 4 and a surface pro 7 both can be had second hand for cheaper then $400. Any other windows tablet would do the same though.
Another video of what seems like the same product appeared to have a heat pipe setup. /The rabbit hole gets deeper //Nerds today are so spoiled ///Nerd
They did come out with a second version i didn't bother picking it up because i ended up never using this first version.
The bigger the gob, the better the job!
I’m gonna move this viewing operation over the computer, back in a second
I'm getting an error trying to flash board B. V:\wardriver\B\B.ino:392:60: error: cannot convert 'BLEScanResults' to 'BLEScanResults*' in initialization.... Any ideas?
I usualy see that when the ESP board version is too new in Arduino
@@463n7 I think you are right. I'm that dude you mentioned in the video. I changed the version of Arduino ESP32 instead of the other one.
Same result using 2.0.12 for the board manager. It errors out during compiling.
@donmccoy207 are you using the newest version of the wardriver.uk firmware or an older version. I know there has been an update, but haven't tried it myself. I have also had some say going to an older version of arduino ide fixed it. Like im on 2.3.2
I was able to flash it using the binary and esptool steps from Joesph's github.
Where do we get the battery trays from?
The 3d print file or the actual battery PCB
@@463n7 the part that holds the battery and snaps into the 3d printed frame
Pcb
@billylake5999 amazon or aliexpress I linked on on Amazon in the video description after you asked yesterday
ahh, i want one but i'm poor
👍
Make a video once you have the entire collection available please! I want to see all the versions in one spot :D thinking of printing one version with that 10000mah lipo battery, even if the pcb is the same inside.
Ill do my best to get them all for sure and can do an over view once i do.
So...yes I agree :D firstly, adding an antenna is a pain indeed, I removed that capacitor, bridged the points, added external antenna and...nothing :)) even if I bridged the first 2 points back it couldn't see any networks after, but the good thing is that I found some bw16 with external antennas at the same price, will test them in the coming days. I remember when I left the gps pins too long and they were touching the sim800l back plate and I was wondering why I don't get any fix :)) Both versions looking awesome but I have a question: isn't the one with battery pack getting too hot? My 2 pack one get around 60 C in my pocket and I am kinda afraid to walk with 2 hot 18650 in my pocket:D
I haven't noticed it getting hot and I ran it almost 10 hours non stop one day. Where did you find the BW16 already ready for external antennas? I have been trying to find a source so people dont have to do the mod
@@463n7 I will send you the links on insta
Gotta get my hands on that pcb! 📡📡
Thanks for all this work. It's been a great project to follow and build. This is probably a stupid question, but do I need separate screws for the case? I've printed the case but haven't finished building the PCB yet and trying to get ahead of things. Thanks again for putting this all out there.
The screws I sent with it will work with the case as well... Thanks for the order! please share once you get it together!
@@463n7 Thanks for the fast reply - much appreciated. Will be building more tomorrow!
That is super slim!! nice work.
Thanks!
What is it used for, if you explain a little please 🥺🥺🥺
It's for wardriving. Check out the videos on my channel. I have one that specifically goes over what wardriving is
Wow, those are awesome!
Thanks!
👍
thanks for putting all the links, susbcribed
No problem!
Hi, I have the 2 pros but I need the win11 drivers. Do you know where to download them?
www.golerugged.com/supports/
Subbed. Building my board now - you found some good mounts.
Thanks for the video and all the work you have done on this project. I don't recall if you mentioned it, but my board has four solder pads under the edge of the SD card. Will we be using these pads for anything? If I solder down the SD Card, it will block (or could short) one of the pads.
You do not need it. It is added for a slim option I will be doing a video on it soon.
It was a hard choice for me but I went with the Multiboard. Love your setup.👍
I have thought about trying it but just keep coming back to the honeycomb. Thank you it been alot of fun putting it together.
Why is there so much space between the back and the PCB board is it to help with cooling or is there a version that is totally portable? IE a small LIPO mabey?
There are other versions. Watch my battery adding board. It's an option. You could definitely do a lipo with a proper lipo board as well
Looks great!
I want this
So how did the Windows install on the SD Card hold up especially with the heat this unit is known for?
I didn't stick with the device very long and ended up trading it to a friend. but for the little bit i did keep it the SD card was fine
👍

Makes sense that my kit (arrived this morning) doesn't have nearly as good bonus items as yours. Only two: A little cap 10uF 25v, and little single-turn pot marked 202 (2k). Had to take photos and zoom in to read what they were
they are totally random from what i understand i did accidently order a second one when I was showing the order process in the video and ended up getting 2 buttons and what looks to be some sort of environmental sensor.
I'd call the Ameba Image Tool a tad inconsistent... you had that failure to erase, I just flashed a BW16 where it just refused to "Erase" it was just sitting in an endless loop, you could see from the cursor that it sent some command, waited and waited and waited. If I did a "Download" which erases then flashes the BW16, that runs without issue and the firmware comes up.
If the firmware works then id keep just doing that way... may try it on mine... When the erase gets stuck i press and hold reset then boot and release reset and then release boot in that order and then it will finish the erase ... seems even when i put it into boot mode before erasing I always have to do it again during.
Where to get a BSSID FROM a I phone
I'm not an iPhone user I would suggest trying to find a network tool of some type that might help... but from what I understand about apple they don't give developers the same access to hardware resources as android users get.
👍
Has anyone seen that day 6 includes a temp sensor that wasn't included with the kit? I was told they were going to rewrite that day about a week ago but so far no dice... Otherwise it's a good kit. I'd like to see them offer "further topics of research" for once you get the basic code of the days working, ways to make it more efficient. Just my humble opinion.
interesting ill watch for this when I finally start going through the kits instructions
Is there any where to get the PCB board anywhere in the USA? I want to start this but I am afraid of the wait time from across the water..
Check out my signal sleuth guide it's just a revision of the jhewitt.
@@463n7 I have seen it.. is it far better for about triple the cost?
Hope ill get mine soon, would love to get the Case too.
I may offer a limited supply of cases at some point. I'm working on getting kits out
@@463n7 yeah im waiting for my kit its International shipping thats why i asked

can this thing play 4K video without drop frames?
Great Video thank you for explaining the compatibilities of the components why you choose the specific boards / components
Right there with ya man! Sometimes it's tough to complete something when you feel stuck in the mud. Getting organized definitely helps. It looks like you're tight on space in that room. If you can't move some stuff elsewhere (another room/closet, maybe even getting a personal storage unit?) install some shelving to get things off the ground and/or install a pegboard to mount tools to the wall by your workbench.
Peg board on the work bench is next and definitely working on trying to make more room. Just getting that table and the rack out of there should help a lot.
i am going to war drive a place where there are so many undiscovered wifis
Do it!
im going to but need to upgrade my pwnagotchi first , im a begginer (i dont like this word but ) hacker i mean i like my deauth device , maybe i will build marauder or esp boy
👍
Have you considered some of the tool brands for modular storage solutions? They all have crate systems that can interlock with one another and you could cut high density foam into the perfect shapes for any of your tools. I just purchased a sit stand desk, you could find the perfect height to be comfortable when assembling your kits etc.
I built this work bench to be the perfect height for me to stand at my next furniture purchase will be a sit stand desk, and I need to make sure it'll reach the same height. At 6'5" I max out a lot of them, but the max is usually the perfect height
Yup, you're not the only one in this sort of a boat 🙋♂ I have been paralyzed for longer than I care to admit and keep having squirrel moments of distraction. It has been quite debilitating for me to get anything/something done, LOL!
It can be the worst... It'll truly be hard to get fully though this but even once its done it'll be even harder to keep things in a proper order lol.
Love this. I find myself in the same boat with projects and videos on my channel. It’s in my head just need to get it out. As far as storage, Ali has some large electronic component storage bin systems I’ve seen around. Thanks for sharing.
Ill check those out thank you... I has caused me a ton of trouble, even in the second video of this series I walked into my office last night to continue recording and turned right back around and walked out lol.
@@463n7 lol. I get it. My set up is currently on my dresser cause my garage is a construction zone. So it’s when my bedroom isn’t occupied with the wife and kids. But we manage.
