The return of Larry ✨🤖✨
Security Office gang. We have a 200 hr playthrough with an insane base there. Love this game
Why wouldn’t you build the manufacturing base in the room above the blacksmith? No enemies can get to you and there is a decent amount of room in there. 3 outlets and room to expand if you can get on top of the forge
the area by the forklift was cooler
watch the old tenacious d hbo mini series
the top of helmholz makes a good base you just need ropeplant and blank to freely access it. you can also use the powered up jumppad plus cube to reach it.
I like most of his videos. Even the Resident Evil video other people hated on despite him not making the point clear enough. CrowbCat has always posted the odd awful video with biases and bad choices though. This was definitely one of them and I say that as someone who didn't like Black Ops 6. Call of Duty has definitely fallen and there are issues with it. He showcased some of them in clips such as how it lost some of its magic in many areas and the sliding for PC players and the common microtransaction issue that many modern day games face. Charging people money for better audio is the biggest sin. However, he's also unfairly nitpicking, which he's done in many videos. The Call of Duty multiplayer aspect of things were almost always goofy like that. This is why he didn't bother to show multiplayer clips from the previous games and only the campaign. Black Ops has always been a franchise where it's more over the top with that while Modern Warfare is the more realistic with it. Comparing the campaign to the ones from before and with the realism and horror of it is fine, but the new campaign had those moments too and has actually been one of the more well-received campaigns in a Call of Duty in a while. He decided to nitpick the worst looking and most awkward clips from it though that will always be awkward and weird when you play them out of context. And him choosing to show female devs, characters, etc. was definitely an intentional choice and feels like him trying to spin the narrative that they're hiring a bunch of unqualified feminists to make Call of Duty now and that this is why it's failing. Something he's done on many occasions as well. Especially when he watches and plays clips for videos by TheQuartering and other TH-camrs in that side of TH-cam.
ayo i had no idea he was putting up TheQuartering yo wtf that's so gross lmao
@@el_doinko Not outright supporting them and their beliefs or anything, so who knows, but he does use clips for his videos of people reading off things or describing things and he's used people like him and others in that side of TH-cam many times. For that reason, he likely watches them. Once you realize that, it isn't difficult to now put the pieces together with how he falsely depicted a few things in this video by purposely showing only the females working on it and the most stereotypical looking ones to build a narrative out of it. Especially for that Cyberpunk 2077 video he made. I won't make any assumptions that aren't proven, but it feels that way.
In that manufacturing base, it's possible the patrolling robot that spawns in the hallway outside got lured in there somehow (maybe chasing a soldier?), saw your stuff, and did the thing it loves to do (punch furniture until it's gone). We made our own Hydroplant base in the Waterfall Apartments - you have access to water from the fountain, vending machines, tons of space, a great view from the top floor, you're outside bot patrol and aggro range, a shortcut to the area entrance in the basement, and the kitchen has a tremendous amount of cooking space.

You are implying that the "visual storytelling" of Crowbcat's video has issues but you do not see the main issue of the modern corposuits literally skinwalking specific groups of people (like women, for example) for the sake of some quick fortnitesque buck on a really old franchise. Like, dude, don't think people are stupid, nobody sees the whole picture as "haha women" (look at Warframe, for example, people genuinely respect Rebecca Ford), the main issue that everybody is talking about is how disgraceful current COD devs are.
I absolutely agree that I dislike CoD's current direction, however idk much about the whole "skinwalking demographics" meme. Seems like a rabbit hole that i just don't have time to get into off the rip. Whether or not *people* see it as "haha women," my issue is just with the content with this specific video. I don't want to go beyond the scope and act like I can estimate what the greater community thinks, or even just Crowbcat himself. Regardless, the anti-female sentiment is evident with the choice of both the in-game clips and dev clips in the video. After this was published I did get to see the Black Ops 6 Direct where those clips came from, and it really is a 50/50 split of male/female devs, so the choices seem more deliberate.
Looking at your replies towards the comments dunking on you, i want to believe that you are just trying to play it off cool best you can, but because you parrot the talking points you parrot, i cant rule out the possibility of you having a genuine humilliation fetish, it almost looks as if you enjoyed all the atrocious mean spirited comments you are recieving, where is this going really? if it does grow your channel, you will eventually get taken down off youtube.
It's not about getting back at people or trying to build up an image or whatever. It's that genuinely some of the angry commenters are the people who actually stand to benefit from listening to some of the stuff in this video regarding media literacy and implicit/explicit messaging etc. I don't assume bad faith on most of these folks and I stand by the content of the video. How that is perceived is beyond me.
@@el_doinko You are making some serious fundamental mistakes here, first off you are assuming the people dunking on you are angry, when they're probably laughing at you and having fun while posting those mean spirited comments (which i dont approve of). But most interestingly, you seem to assume that your views are something they should listen to when in reality, you just hold the majority opinion in the entirety of the western world, you think you are teaching the people dunking on you the values of gender equity and free universal healthcare, my friend, the individuals who are mocking you in the comments are most likely americans/anglosphere/western european young men , they either finished highschool in the 2010's or they are still going to school, trust me, they DEFINTIELY heard your message, they also hear your message in movies, tv shows, video games, news outlets, and everything, you are not a dissenter, you are another one of the millions of people who agree with what the ruling power has to say, remember that your message of forcing female inclusion into video games is being pushed by every single global billion-dollar-worth corporation. So who really "stands to benefit from listening" ??? you clearly have never had someone with opposing views challenge you to the point where you yourself would entertain challenging your own beliefs.
The fact that you think that my position is "forcing female inclusion" shows that you yourself fundamentally misunderstood the video. Which is fine! It tells me that I could have done a better job explaining the concepts here. While yes there are many people pointing and laughing, I treat them the same way I treat Crowbcat here: yes I'll respond to what I see, but I will not assume their intentions or their views or their background, which is something you're doing here. If applying that logic means I have a "humiliation fetish" in your eyes, that's just your weird way of seeing things. I also left a lot of toxic comments on here so that the viewer can get an honest view of the video's reception. Though there are a few that probably got automodded and some that I deleted because they were like "just kys" etc.
@@el_doinko You truly have never sat down and thought through your own beliefs in an unironical manner without having a single screen interrupting your thought train, im not sure you are capable of doing this but you seriously need to try this if you are genuinely seeking to explore the intellectual landscape. Put down the phone, go jog without taking your phone with you and then think about these things as if you were entirely wrong and the people you deem wrong were right, probably think about this while you are taking the shower after jogging.
The point is feminist writers and developers ruined call of duty. Especially the new mw3 storyline. The game was written by 3 feminists. No wonder why Makarov was made to appeal to the female gaze and Soaps death in mw3 2023 was uneventful with no buildup. The feminist writers assumed that soaps death in the new mw3 would shock us, but all it did disappointed us the same as makarov killing his own for no reason doesn’t show how menacing he is it makes us dislike him not despise him
My favorite unusual base is to set up at the crossroads in Manufactoring West. The big military base where the dudes always spawn? Clearing out their spawns there and giving us two full buildings with three floors each gives a lot of space and places to manuevr
That's a fun idea, and nice to get rid of that annoying gun emplacement

How honorable of you to make a whole video dedicated to protect vulnerable and fragile women who even though they are strong independent adults, they are also victims of the patriarchy and are in much needed protection of double chinned white knights. Liked and subscribed!
lmao
Update: Commenters have directed me towards the source of the clips in question, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct." The video features a relatively even split between male and female devs, so despite me wanting to approach this without wanting to make any strong accusations, I can now more confidently say that Crowbcat made these creative choices with the intent of targeting or, at the very least, dunking on, specifically women in the industry. I would feel differently if the video had featured specific quotes from those people, in order to justify their specific appearance in the video. Combine that with the choice of gameplay footage featuring so many female campaign characters, and the evidence speaks for itself.

so the crowbcat videob is almost 90% showing non-male developers and and non-male characters and obviously making fun of them. how does it NOT read like "boohoo wamen equal bad game which used to be soooo based" Also if people dont enjoy fortnite-style shite then there are THOUSANDS of games where you can shoot people as a MAYN and there are no female characters...
my main base is in the animal pens in the same spot you showed, but i use a rope vine near the water tank to get up and down and the stairway has the teslas
I think you should be allowed to be dissatisfied with a product, even if it was partially made by women.
yea no one is disagreeing w that sentiment
I took back my dislike because you actually were pretty respectful even though I totally disagree with you. Only part I can maybe agree on is him including Laswell from MW2 remake in the video. If memory serves me right she doesn’t even get to use the gun or do anything because some guy comes up behind her and takes her captive. Not really a strong independent girl boss moment.
fr the inclusion of those campaign scenes is really weird to me. I feel like a better comparison would've been the horrifying Shepherd betrayal scene from original MW2 vs. the really silly one we got in MW2 remake with Graves.
Man your clearly clout farming, i thought maybe you'd have a good point but your just attempting to throw shade for the sake of drama trying to muster up a point from almost nothing what seems like to be solely to grow your youtube channel, if you actually had a good point this would be entertaining, and you know that but the title and thumbnail is a typical classic youtube trick, shameless. Is it worth being known as a bullshitter and trading your word for some statistics, glad im not like that. What a waste of time, dislike, do not recommend.
nah mate if i was clout farming i would just lean 100% to one side or the other rather than approaching things as fairly as i could and speaking from a perspective of someone who is genuinely a fan of both CoD and Crowbcat. Its not my fault you're projecting.

I hated most of his videos, and it honestly makes sense that he's so reactionary. He'd make a video with 1%good criticism, and then the rest of the video is "THIS REFLECTION IS WORSE IN THIS GAME NOW!!" Just weird, it seems to line up with his views on society as well, lmao
Nah your tweaking man.

ppl can say whatevs they want but the fact that this is a consistent theme across multiple vids is very telling .
ik ur getting hate but i appreciate this bc i literally had the same exact thoughts watching that deadrising video . i remember watching his old vids and was just super disappointed in whatevs commentary he was trying to give as a woman . literally just seemed like he was mad that you cant sexually harass women in the game anymore.
Yea DRDR was in a really weird spot and i get that they handled it strangely but the discussions around it were so crazy volatile. Really ppl aint afraid to show how messed up they are. Also the hate fuels + validates me and only proves the importance of content like this.
Okay, I often disagree with with Crowbcat's videos in some way or another, but I think this take is really bad and it kinda seems like you're falling for exactly what Activision's strategy is with their hiring choices. Back in ye olden days, there weren’t a lot of women in positions of influence in gaming (positions you’d criticize if you didn’t like the direction a franchise was moving in, for example) and things are a lot better these days. But has it not occurred to you that this improvement is also part of a strategy that you’re unwittingly playing into? The old management was male-dominated, and the new management has a number of women in public-facing positions that are likely to come under a lot of scrutiny. They WANT you to think “Cowbcat criticizes the change in direction? Well, he included some women in his critique so he must be a misogynist.” We both know Activision has a long history of treating its female employees like absolute shit, do you really think they’re above cynically using them as human shields? They are deliberately putting these women in the firing line so that when Crowbcat shows Activision’s patent US20160005270A1 (the one where they use matchmaking to trick you into buying skins), you get distracted by the fact that he used some women in his B-roll, which he is going to because the women in question are a Lead Narrative Producer, a Senior Producer, a Senior Writer, and the Head of Brand Development. You’ve been played, man.
Actual valid points in there, but overall missing the point. It's not necessarily about the women or even CoD, it's more about the way he frames his narratives and how it can be problematic. I'm fully aware that there are problematic devs of any gender and Activison has been nightmarish -- I literally aired my gripes with CoD throughout the video. That's just not really the point
@@el_doinko I know you did, sorry. My point is that there's room for interpretation here, and that Activision has specifically cultivated the situation so that there is room to uncharitably interpret the criticism they receive as problematic. If they didn't hire women, Crowbcat's video would be nearly unassailable. But by setting up the situation so that the most available people to criticize are women, they have made it so that unless people like Crowbcat go out of their way to specify that the video isn't about women, people like you will go "I just think its kinda problematic how he singled out these women." He singled out the senior leadership of Raven software who are, by design, problematic to single out. The more time critics are forced to waste specifying exactly how their videos should be interpreted, the harder it is for them to actually make their videos, and the easier it is for Activision to keep getting away with their shitty business practices. P.S. sorry if the "people like you" sounded needlessly accusatory, the sentence just didn't flow well without it.
My goal rn is to really just find the source video featuring those devs. Because if it really does show like a majority of fem staff then I can feel less negatively about it. But if it's more 50/50 then I'm more inclined to feel like it was an intentional choice to make jabs at these execs and devs who all happen to be female. Definitely something I wish I did before I made the video but I couldn't find it at the time.
@@el_doinko He uses clips from several videos. A bit from 21:04 in "Making of - Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 [Behind the Scenes]" From Eurogamer, and a bit from 19:29 in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct" From the official COD youtube channel, among other sources I'm sure. Hope this helps.
@@hunted4blood thanks for finding those. Just checked them out briefly and yeah the high-up roles and interviews seem pretty 50/50 between male and female devs so it only makes me feel more like the choice was intentional. So yeah idk man, gross creative choices imo, but it is what it is.

naw mate that's maybe a fraction of it
The entire video is a miss because COD has *never* been this super sincere franchise that older zoomers want to remember it as. It's always had a reputation as being the "mature" FPS game for kids. The only thing that's changed is what appeals to younger audiences. In 2008 it was Michael Bay, nu-metal, and brown-bloom filters. Now it's Marvel, pop-culture references, and rainbow vomit. The only reason people are worshipping World at War *sixteen years* after it was released is because it's a narrative tool for "le culture war". Conveniently, Crowb doesn't feature the Nazi Zombies mode in his comparison, nor does he showcase any other legacy COD games. It's really quite deceptive.
Actually good take + stuff i didnt consider on my watch
Thank you for telling me he has a new video. I'll go watch it and like it, while I dislike yours.

because women make the best games ever man...
i aint even touching this one
@@el_doinko exactly... no one "hates" women, name me the female version of Kojima, Maiato, Jason West, Leslie Benzies, Sam Houser, ect
@@sabot4g3Exactly, nobody hates women. It’s simply just the truth that there isn’t a woman equivalent to those men in the gaming industry. They can be good developers, writers, etc. but I can’t think of a single one that is a creator of a massively famous AAA IP that defined genres and furthered innovation in video games.
That’s a good catch. Everyone in the comments is being purposefully obtuse, but he really did only identify the women he showed to pin the blame on them, purposefully leaving out the names and shots of men working at the same studio.
Yeah this ain't it, chief. Activision showcased these people, he highlighted producers and head of departments meaning they're the ones with the true final say on where the product ultimately ends up going. All of the men were directors
See this is where it becomes frustrating that I can't find the source of those clips. What I would assume is there were equally high-up male devs featured in the same video but Crowbcat intentionally only included clips of the female devs. Which, intentional or not, is relevant to the integrity of how Raven/Treyarch is depicted here.
The crusty old men getting upset over a video because it doesn’t agree with their backwards world views. Didn’t think we’d lose crowbcat to the anti woke rabbit hole.
I've been pleasantly surprised with the reception so far. YT hasn't automodded anything and I haven't been called a slur yet.
1:35 "I don't know who these guys are" *the literal founders of infinity ward and creators of call of duty* instantly lost all credibility
You expect every human being on earth to know two guys that haven’t worked there in a long time. You made up your mind long before this video dropped.
That's the point though. The point is exploring the contents of the video without having to have prior knowledge, and how that can be an irresponsible way to form a narrative. It's largely about what Crowbcat chooses to include and exclude. I don't know every neckbeard who's ever been in the games industry by faces alone.
@@el_doinko "their names and positions weren't explicitly stated on the screen so I couldn't possibly figure out who they were" is not the sort of response I expect to see from someone who criticizes other commenters' media literacy
@el_doinko if you want it spelled out for you, then the back 4 blood and 343 videos are just for you
I mean the Infinity Ward fellas weren't really the point of my own commentary, I'm just replying to this guy specifically who is questioning my nerd cred just because I don't specifically recognize these two IW fellas from some old BTS footage from like 2009.
So Crowbcat points out that modern Call of Duty lost touch with what had originally made the series good, the gritty portrayal of war and hell lost to the Fortnite lootbox and battlepass system of over the top colors and corny characters and skins, and all you think about is women?
so i point out that i largely agree with the video as a whole but explore issues with his visual storytelling and media literacy, but you were too dense to see that
