Anyone else can't move sub in the tactical map by mouse click?

FAQ: Why do they say "making turns for [X] knots" when the sub isn't turning? Answer: Because the sailors are referring not to the Sub's bearing, but the turns per minute the propeller needs to make to reach the desired velocity.

Was on the USS Washington (SSN-787) for the past 5 years. This is by far as accurate as they can make a submarine game without getting into classified tactics and operations. Great video man!

for a tutorial, I reckon you should have reduced the game audio and prioritized yours, like, the in game announcements are louder than your narration, makes it super annoying to follow, so much so I won't follow.

question When i fire my harppon missiles. they have a constant miss rate. One mission 4 UGM-88s miss consecutively, and by only a few feet away. I tried having rader out, esm, and parascope out. Yet i see in other videos the missiles seem to home on the target. What am i doing wrong?

What guy doesn't love subs? I really want to download a game and start to play . But to be honest, this looks quite challenging to learn. Looks like an plane simulator where you have to be a damned piolt to play it :)

If this is like Red Storm Rising (which I'm a pro at), then you want to set your PAP (that blue square, when firing) not directly behind a target. When your torpedo goes active, you don't want to make the enemy think the Torp came from a straight line from you. You want to throw it way out to the sides before you set it active and home in. Like activating it in a direction so that when it goes live, the enemy will fire down that bearing. Well you want that bearing to not be the direction towards you. Attacking from the sides.

Nice video! On a different channel a guy showed the view from the cockpit of helicopter and he was dropping sono bouys. How do i get into the aircraft? Can I also control the ships?

Is the mission editor any good? I would like to set up a practice range mission where have a variety of Targets in front of me which I have to detect then acquire and then shoot various different weapons., without the risk of being killed. Just so I can practice the procedures.

Playing this game again after a time and oeff thought what did i stepp into again. But within no time i got the hang of it again. Love these missions where you have to drop off special units. Keep a low profile they say. Me going all in sometimes just full send it to the top and shoot some missiles and sending the crew down with mach 5 again. So much fun to see the ships go down left and right of you, just to hear after the mission ends this was not you target. 😂

Thanks for the tutorial. This is basically the modern version of Red Storm Rising from the late 1980s. I used to play it on the Commodore 64 which had great sound for a computer in those days. While RSR's sound wasn't the best, it still soundd awesome plugged into my stereo. Good times! I wasn't about to pay $40 for a game from 2017 and not the greatest graphics so I thought the price is a little steep. I found a free download but if it was half the price I probably would've actually bought it.

Friend got me this game We mostly just play in our friend group because of my god the chat is really Really spicy so we just Don't trust anyone outside of us

I already have a cheap samsung vr setup, i use it mainly for sim racing, the racing wheel layout was easily memorized, but im moving into dcs and theres a lot more going on, going to need a lot more familiarization with a hotas, etc. What im thinking is that i should get track ir, especially for learning and then just wait for a next gen vr setup, it looks like ill be spending thousands for a marginally better vr setup in the current market. Would you agree?

Just got the game and this tutorial helps a lot. I’ve actually just completed the tutorial that you demonstrated on and I’m just overwhelmed with control options. Lol. Since this is a bit dated has the updates brought anything new I should know before sending my crew to their graves?

I guess I don't understand the purpose of track ir unless you are using a massive curved monitor or multiple displays that wrap the display around you. And then, why would you even need such a thing as your display area is much larger anyways. Even if you're using one large display, yea...I get it, the camera is controlled with your head movement. But...if I turn my head left or right, Im no longer looking at the screen sooo...what benefit is gained by this? At that point, you'd have to look out of the corner of your eyes to see the screen. So, you look right to move the camera but then have to look out of the left corner of your eyes to maintain visual? Doesn't make sense to me.
