Is it normal that the red REC lamp does not light up when recording when the power supply is connected, but only lights up when using battery or rechargeable battery????

There are two models w-touch (Surface) and itrack (iPadOS) my sister wanted to give it to me as a gift and she bought the wrong one (itrack) and I can't find a way to make it work on Windows. Do you have any advice?

Often was compared to the marantz pmd430, the latter having metal capability and dbx, as well as three heads and xlr inputs. I never used metal even in the eighties. The dbx dynamic range expander meant you could only play it back on a dbx equipped machine. I never found that gimmick very important anyway. The Sony, while only two heads, but with the all metal body just feels more solid in the hands and sounds every bit as good.

Tip: if using any AC mains or 12VDC adapter remove the batteries. Whether just my machine or a quirk of the model, using with the latter, in my car , the batteries started heating up and egesting a strange caustic goo. A mess to clean out of the battery compartment. Otherwise no harm done.

I have madded little test on my - now not daily used- 12 years old vpcz1 vaio. Now it runs 22h2 win11 :) I have used notebookreview (archive) tutorial - installed w7 + full drivers, then update without loose data to w10 + reinstall gpu and then update to w11 and again reinstall gpu. Update directly from w7 to 11 is not possible. It looks like it works fine only with one problem. When i switch to speed/nvidia, then is system not able to detect correct screen and resolution. It runs on 1024x768 and display is detected as screen2. ...on intel is all fine :) If anyone want i can upload clean disk image (unactivated win). This was for me best laptop ever. Runs daily and without problem 12 years - only both ssds was changed to two 256gb msata ssds with adapters util - util this year.

I believe this is still the only ChromeOS or Chromebook tablet in existance that use x86-x64 CPU. Modern ChromeOS tablets use ARM chipset and GNU Linux on ARM is still not widely compatible compared to GNU Linux on x86-x64.

I bought mine i5 model 3 years ago, I couldn't load akps I wanted to use without developer mode enable, it worked but I have to use the volume keys and select developer mode everytime I start up the tablet, has this changed ? Is there a better way? I have one used this tablet a handful of times because it's a hassle at startup.

Lag is unforgivable in a wireless trackpad. There is no reason why there should be any perceptible lag. If wireless mice can be lag-free, there is no reason why a wireless trackpad can't be.

Hi. was wondering how did you managed with installing win10? I tried clean install and updpdating fully configurated win7 i even unlocked the bios to set right setting. now on board is legal win8.1 and it's horible.

Also I have to mention one other thing recently I discovered when trying to get a screen protector for this tablet the company falsified the details regarding the specs of the tablet the software says it's 10 inch Amazon description for their company but this item says 10 inch it is not it is a 9-inch style tablet the other decided by one of these tablets make sure you're aware of that you may not receive the correct size this described just thought I'd give you a heads up and also so I was able to find a replacement screen and digitiser off AliExpress funny that

The keymecher wired/wireless "mano" 70--LARGE WIRELESS ONE works pretty well for me when it's plugged in. Well it's perfect when USB, but in Bluetooth it sucks for me. It doesn't have enough power on the battery they designed it with. Heads up, ppl. I don't recommend paying more for the wireless option

Use the windows drivers for installing your Android device as a touch interface. With an old tablet. Big ass touch pad

Great review. I have this, but I couldn’t get it in the colour you have as they were all sold out! So they did fly off the shelves :) I don’t do gam8ng, so it’s probably a rather powerful laptop for me personally, but I do love it and yes, it can be a workhorse, at least in my experience. Fun fact; if you attach the surface to a 120 hz screen you can set BotW to 40 fps 1080p and the other games to 60fps 1080p. It's how I play! That's on a SB3 tho.

With cheap tech you always get a case or keyboard, some kind of gift..Spend £1000 on a phone and no charging brick even.

I used my VPCSA and VGN-TZ for over ten years, the best laptops I ever owned. Easily serviceable, sturdy, cool design. Just one thing I never figured out how to get to work were the sim-card slots they both had, supposedly there were drivers for that but never found them.

Just wondering how is this holding up? I came across a deal of 185 quid for the m3 64gb version bundled with the Brydge keyboard for a demo unit and am wondering is it any good for movie/Netflix and some light productivity work on the go (vscode, zoom conferences on crostini)?
