Without rocks I would probably say look into the hardened knife. It should keep the sharpness longer. In your parts book if the knife is labeled as say #14 the hardened one should be 14.1.

Correct the density is done hydraulically, but a V150 makes a 150cm bale or 4.9ft. This is were people run the baler in manual mode trying to get a true 5ft bale. Doing this can damage the belts or chains if its a Fortima because there is no were for the crop to go. Yes there is a failsafe that is supposed to open the tailgate but its no perfect.

I see, they are attempting to go beyond the maximum diameter allowed for the particular variable chamber Baler they have.

I also have a question that maybe you could answer. I just purchased an additional Baler, Comprima CV 150 XC. It is a 2014 model year, is there any real difference between the same Baler in 2019 or even newer? I noticed they have different side panels and a larger chain oiler reservoir.

@@guernseygoodness Hi as you noticed there are a few differences like you seen with the doors, larger oiler, crop compression roller brackets. The biggest change is the electronics, a 2014 should have a gray controller were as the 2019 a metallic looking one. This was just a update to meet the ISOBUS standards better, not for failure or performance reasons. The 2019 you should be able to directly plug the Baler into a isobus plug if you have a isobus tractor, we’re as the 2014 you would need a Y cable adapter from the dealer to do that. 2014 probably has a CCi200 monitor we’re the 2019 could be CCI800 or 1200. Also you might notice that there are some small icon changes on the screen but the software functionality is the same.

Hello sorry for the delay. I don't believe that tractor can be controlled by the baler, seeing its a early Isobus tractor. ISOBUS was originally meant to be a standard but in early adaptation there were compatibility issues between manufactures. I would say to have your dealer ask a krone service rep if it is possible. I'm sure krone will know if its possible.

Hello, The non conditioner mowers for the US are ordered from Germany in B rotation which spreads the crop out as wide as possible behind the mower. They can be changed to A rotation were all the crop goes to the center, normally for silage or real light conditions. But this requires a few different size disks depending on the mowers size and the hubs need to be swapped from left to right side because of how the shear protection works for the disks. So short answer is yes you can change it but its not something you would want to be doing all the time and it will require extra parts.

Hello, sadly no I do not have a maintenance video on this mower. The biggest thing is checking the cutterbar gearbox oil and setting the float/hitch properly. Depending on the acres,crop,flotation etc etc impacts the wear parts. If the edges of the disks become sharp they need to be sapped with opposite rotation or replaced. Please refer to the Ops manual with the machine or the free electronic version on Krones site.

The is a customers baler, he is getting individual small square weights around 70lbs. His main hay customer seems to like it because they can bring a large bale into the barn and then split it up.

What bale wagon is best for the 1270 or 870?

Sounds like the hydraulic tip needs to be replaced or there is an issue with the inline shut off valve restricting the flow. If used I would make sure the tip is not mushroomed. You might replace the tip with a pioneer ball type.

We replaced the tip and that did not work, we have a new accumulator on top of the cylinder coming.

We have this identical machine, make sure the valve near the quick coupler is not causing a restriction, you might try removing it and reconnecting the quick coupler without it. The cone end tip centers have to be inserted into the coupler carefully to make sure they fully retract.

We replaced the tip and it still did not work so the dealer brought out a new lift cylinder and it now lifts. It still won't lower the wings but I can put it in float and pull them down manually.

They are louder then a belt baler because of the chain and slate. The Comprima is belt and slate, so its as quiet as a typical belt baler. They are fairly simple to run, they come with a monitor which shows you the bale building in the chamber, arrows for filling properly and once the bale meets desired size it will alarm and apply net or twine. Bale density is set be a valve on the front of the baler. What zip code/krone dealer are you near?

I don’t feel they are loud at all compared to a belt baler !!! I just bought a V1800MC and I’ve owned 2 Krone balers and will NEVER go back to a belt baler!!!!!

It cuts well, sometimes you have to vary your PTO rpm depending on crop conditions because it is a big disk cutterbar like a JD.

You are correct, MacDon frame Krone cutterbar. It is a joint venture.
