On my previous attempt, I used a 36 mm socket and my hand and pushed in one side too far. I was going by how it was when I took the original one out. It was leaking and I suspect who replaced it before me put it all the way in.

Nobody will replace it like this . All mechanics in Qatar remove and give it to us to go lathe workshop to insert the bearing using Hydraulic press

Each threaded connector (nut, bolt) should be torqued to a specific ft/lb value using a torque wrench. Hitting it with an impact wrench will likely over-tighten it.

The torque for the axle nuts is only 120 ft lb? I saw it is 230 ft lb in another video for 2014 CRV.

imho, this is THE ford escape 3.0 nightmare DYI repair. $1500+ plus for mechanic to do it. so many places for old rusty bolts to snap or the bolt heads to become stripped so that you can't easily remove them. you could be without your car if you start this job and get in over your head.. prepare for the worst in advance.

Butchery Not engineering! Please,Please do not do it this way!! Remove the hub and use a press to remove and refit the bearing! The bearing on lots of these have a magnet for the ABS sensor incorporated!
