Final Fantasy Ever Crisis - Kefka EX3 - "Assisted auto"
Since we go more spanky than tanky, the fight needs:
13K+ HP
150+ MDEF
I chose to err on the side of caution, but this is because I am lazy and want to nudge the AI in those fights.
At any rate: we apply Kamura, we have zero need to go to defence for the first AOE as it is 12K flat damage (hence the need for 13K+ HP), and we heal, preferably using Aerith Ulti weapon if we have it, as it speeds things up as well.
Second aoe we defend, and should you play on manual, hold ATB as sigil phase comes next. This is why we have 2x sigil on your two DPS and Aerith covers what is missing (you can even go without it, it is just faster if she does as well).
Once we break, we heal, we may even use the Aerith limit to heal faster if we feel we don't want to stance dance during this sequence, and we reapply debuffs and Kamura.
Finally, when boss is stunned, we summon and we spank whatever is left of its health.
The same plan applies in co-op, only in co-op you have the luxury of having 2x Lightning DPS for a faster kill, as bar goes down faster.

This rotation was the same for max damage on 5, but on 5 we went for more tanky Angeal, as all we needed was 55% there to clear with 2 attempts. In stage 4, however, the plan was to either one-shot it, or put it close enough for a low end account to clear. The rotation involves Water Blow on cat for extra damage, and with proper maxed out build, it could one-shot it, but it needed the Angeal li...

Not ideal rotation, but not ideal gear either. Zack ulti, and maxed out Greatsword would produce 5-10% more, and the rotation on the cat would change slightly to include Water Blow for more damage, but since this wasn't meant for high score, this one is simpler. I do the cat water blow on Stage 4, though, where we need more percentage to have low end accounts to be able to clear.

Oh well… enjoy the clear, and good luck farming his memories, it will take some time, I have spent every last potion I had spare for those :P
How are you scaling over 200k?
@@manthetower5894 that is the power of multiple party patk weapons put together ;) If each character has 6 stacks of party patk r ability, that is 25% per character. 75% more patk just from those alone. Those weapons contribute most to how much your power scales.

the key to the fight is surprisingly Baha sword, as 1) it gives haste 2) you land one extra attack in pseudo-"max stance" as that fixed 40K damage ignores stance. Now, the proper execution for the above team, if you don't whiff it like the idiot I am: Kamura, Twingle, Baha, Citric Cloud, wait for max stance, Pressure, Stream, Bio from Aerith (hopefully it lands), Aerith Ulti weapon, Pressure, Stream, if Bio has landed Citric on Zack, if not, repeat Bio spam until it does for every Aerith attack, and if needed, cancel one or both Ifrit attacks with limits. ;)
Got whale?
I have 340 units of 24K damage, and you have 326 units of 52K damage? How did you do that? Where did you buy your clothes?
@@Ditritus-gpt this was done way before the expansions that came out in the recent releases. SWTOR doesthis every time, they increase the thresholds to get to the same numbers with each expansion. This is one of the reasons I stopped playing the game. I was playing Sentinel DPS, and the target was always either 40%+ Critical or a specific number (I don’t remember the exact number now) for Alacrity. Well, each time they released a new expansion, a character that was doing 40-45% critical, suddenly with the same numbers dropped to something like 28%… and you had to pick up the next set of gear not to upgrade, but to simply get back where you previously were. Hence why you see videos with lower number gear doing more, it was simply from previous expansions and thresholds were different. And ye, this was stupid, so I just couldn’t care anymore, it is one thing to make you increase your power, but another to farm new gear just to get to where you previously were.
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 Have you still not told me how to dress in these clothes in 2024? The year 2025 is coming soon, and I still have old clothes that do 52k damage? Where are these clothes in the game? on the planet in gtn?
@ well, this video was made 2 years ago, with the 7.0 expansion. At that time, it was a farmable gear from doing dailies and weeklies and the procedure shown in the video. I used to farm most of my end game gear in Galactic Starfighter, actually, to be honest, as it would drop purple gear of higher quality. But since I have not touched the game for 2 years now, I don’t know what changed, if the farming methods remain the same and whatnot. I think the game is like in 7.4 version now? So I doubt the method stayed the same or that even the video is still relevant to be honest. At the time I made the video it was a quick method of farming for blue gear as a stepping stone to farm for purple in raids.
lol this guy is a clicker bahahaha

@@Janille_ I appreciate your kind comment. What I did not understand is why I still proc Vengeance. Can you clarify on that? Not that it matters, but just to understand what is happening there.
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 if you look back I kill the first wave super duper late But I noticed that if I kill just After the first poison , After the stun sigil will start bypassing the vengeance phase probably because sigil takes priority (started by the game in the back as soon as poison start??) over vengeance but no way to confirm this it's just what I Noticed. Also I did go through one run where vengeance hit me I Can survive as long as there is no adds --I died during this run because of 1 miss step during double -5 mdef + aoe phase-- also throwing lasers to me because my Aerith can't heal and buff mdef Quick enough otherwise
@@Janille_ I will try to replicate kill tentacle as soon as poison resolves, and also compare HP on boss (as many phases of bosses so far are HP reliant). crazy how dumb the AI on Barett is tho ^^
@@YuIivee 100%… watching the AI on such fights is cringe-inducing… especially during bomb phase where every… aoe… misses… and has to be done twice because the AI doesn’t wait for bombs to spawn properly… And obviously Barret simply refuses to buff Sephiroth, for no apparent reason. :P Still, that is the point of this challenge, to showcase that even with that kind of play, it is doable :)
What’s that fire staff equipped on aerith called?
@@kaioken07 Egg Staff. It was on the Easter banner.
Would love to see your one hit score a smidge higher. Maybe you could get another buff from Matt during Sigil break time so it’s a 3 tier! I need to level my boomerang to 110 so I can get more fire Pot. As well! Great run!
The biggest hurdle here is the OB5 Yuffie AOE weapon. Sure, one could push a few points upwards, but the difference from OB5 to OB6 would ensure a vastly superior score, much bigger in difference than fine tuning this one. Which is the reason I didn’t fiddle with it more. But I agree, technically some more points could be scored by double buff, or having a Debrave to nerf initial AOE, etc, as well as stance dance each time a Sahagin attacks.
What’s your in game name btw?

A master at work 🙇🏻♂️
I am flattered (especially considering the mistakes at the end by being so tilted by lag I just wanted to raise the limit and unleash not caring what I do, just fast materia :P )
What ob is your Zach weapon? That shit was hitting really hard. Although, they just released tifa’s new mh weapon and it’s mag lightning, good for the ratholos co-ops. I regret not waiting, but we still have over 2 weeks left of the event so there’s still blue crystals to be had. 😂
This is a maxed out party. We all had ob10 weapons with the exception of Yuffie support, as there ob6 is enough for the proper buffs/debuffs. This obviously isn't the average party nor the intended way to clear the fight, just whales trolling to see if it was possible to kill fast. In terms of raw numbers, a maxed out Zack hits about 1.5 harder than a similar Cloud with Murasame and Garb. However, Cloud has the fastest animation speed with his weapon so there are instances he can fit more attacks due to that, or hit before an enemy ability resolves. So, both are useful... still, Zack's weapon is definitely power creep.

Nicely done! Autoing when done right always feels good.
Ye, it mostly shows how much progress we made from barely being able to defeat it, to not only doing so, but choosing how to and let the AI handle it :P (And it also shows the absurdity of the new party buff weapons)
I’ve been struggling on this fight so bad. Can make it to the diamond break phase but not much farther
@brianhook2108 I had the same issue… until I understood that the DPS check in this fight is more important than turtling. As every cycle is stronger than the previous one, so the more you delay to kill, the more damage you take with each AOE so at some point you cannot outheal it or die one shot. The fight needs: 1) Assault Gun on Barret or Centipede on Matt (preferable) 2) 1 Wind DPS with an ob6+ weapon, anyone will do, between Aerith (Prism Rod), Sephiroth (Dark Heavens), Tifa (Motor Drive) or Yuffie (Dinner Tray). 3) all characters with O sigil breaking materia, and at least two of them having x2 sigil abilities (so Aerith with Prism Rod, Barret with Heavy Hauser or Sephiroth with Dark Heavens). 4) at least 7.5K HP. No extra pdef is required if you play the aoe pdef buff, as for each stack you need 30 pdef which is a difficult number to have on all characters and maintain their power level. And with all the above you can kill fast enough before the 3rd cycle is done. Now, regarding Behemoth self-healing with Stamina Charge: if by the time after the first Body Slam we go to the second cycle and Primal Roar isn’t yet announced Behemoth has less than 50% HP, it will stamina charge. So, calculate your DPS and stay above 50% until that moment, and after Primal Roar, then go nuts. I hope all this helps. :) PS: this is why Centipede is a game changer in this fight, as, Barret was pure support and he has no Wind option, so you would only have 1 dedicated Wind DPS, 1 support and 1 healer to heal. You could not use Mythril Rod to buff as you then would not have time to heal as well. However, with Centipede you heal AND buff at the same time, which makes room for a second DPS. This can lower the threshold for the DPS check, as you can spread the damage between the two, and maybe manage the fight with less copies of main weapons. ;)
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 thanks I’ve been using cloud as my main dps with a series blow but I guess it’s not enough with 4000 patk. None of the wind weapons are near ob6 so may have to wait a while before I can meet the dos requirements. Have centipede ob3 and assault gun ob7 so defensively I seem to be there
@@brianhook2108 this particular fight is rigged by the floor rules. This is why nothing works except Wind. Anything, including non-elemental damage is nerfed by 30%. Zidane’s sword fully maxed does two times less than ob6 Motor Drive… and not only that, but also healing is nerfed as well, which is why you need your healer to have 500+ more heal stat than usual to mitigate. ;) This is why I wrote all the above as requirements, unfortunately it is the specific fight that not only gearchecks you, but also forces you to use Wind specifically. This was one of the reasons you would see whale accounts not clearing this fight for months despite clearly having superior power to clear everything else ;)
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 thanks for the tips. Maybe ill drop cloud for seph and see what happens
U play on mute Edward?
No, I have an issue convincing OBS to capture sound and for some reason Nvidia Experience picks all sound, not just the sound from a designated source. So, once I solve that I will resolve this. I just can’t figure out what is wrong with OBS and I can’t seem to find any settings to select sound sources in Nvidia. :P
Matt frees up a slot for another dps nice
Marvellous display of power. Love that you decided to put one of the new OP weapons in your Aerith, it makes such a difference indeed 🚀🚀 Do you think this is enough to say that Matt is the best healer in the game? In my opinion he generally is, at least for now until we get to fight some boss that would require an insane amount of healing
@pliyo Thank you for your kind words :) Yes, those weapons are beyond broken. I will record more absurdities later to showcase :P For Matt, it depends. If you need the Healing Wind as extra heal, it is mandatory you use Aerith. If you want utility like here, Matt is king as he also has the buff shield limit, AND a Diamond Sigil breaker. Lastly, if you want an offensive healer, Zack and Cloud are equally good, as Zack with Twinkle Star can double down as DPS and Cloud has the Maritime, Crystal Sword, Grand Gloves combo. So, I can't say it is an end all be all "best"... ;) But I would tie Aerith and Matt as best dedicated healers while Cloud and Zack as best offensive healers. PS: IF I have to be pedantic about it, then because Aerith has also the Snowflake build so she CAN do offensive healing, she is the jack of all trades here.
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 LOVE some detailed thinking around units like this, because I do the same when I go through my own evaluations and I didn't think about including Zack / Cloud here, so that was a fantastic read, thank you!! So agree with everything you said! P.S: Glad to see you are doing content!
Pretty spicy team comp. Since you were using Cloud as a support and the new weapons as side weapons, You could theoretically use Matt over Cloud in this instance since Matt has both AOE heals and High potency Mag defense up weapons?
Yes, that was exactly the plan for the next test. :) Matt can work with Centipede and Core Defender, and maintain his limit for the Divebomb attack.
Can this one be done on Imp? I couldn't find the enterance or quest giver.
I don’t think so. If I remember correctly this is one of the Republic only flashpoints. However, at the time I did this we were many versions ago and I haven’t touched Old Republic for years so my memoir may be fuzzy here.
The equivalent FP on imps side is boarding party i believe. Don't know how similar it is to taral v though
@@Berlinbower Its much more difficult to solo than Teral V. Best solo MM for imps in my experience is Red Reaper, especially if all youre doing is farming the first boss. Though I would recommend using a stealth character for this though.
I'm just curious, when is Sephy going to increase his attack power? I'm trying to play safe so I buff up my character's PDEF/MDEF stat and sacrifice a lot of dps, and it's quite slower than your fight. But thing is, Sephy hits me way harder than he hit you in this video with Octaslash, even though my characters all have WAY higher PDEF stat than your characters, like 8.5k damage on a character with 140+ PDEF and 3 stack of PDEF buff. How come?
This is happening precisely because you go for “turtling” instead of DPS. This fight is a DPS check. With each circle of Heartless Angel/Archangel, Sephiroth is increasing his power, so Octaslash will always do more and more and more, to the point it doesn’t matter if you have high defenses or not, it will literally “crash” though them ;) The fight, ideally, should end having taken only 3-4 Heartless abilities. With level 70, I only take 1 shadow flare in the beginning and do not even reach the point of the second one. Just like the fight in Floor 70, it is much more preferable to go all out in the offence. Shadow Flare will deal around 4.5k with buffs, or 5.8k without buffs and without any kind of mdef weapons. Octaslash would deal around 5k with 2 stacks of pdef buff, or 8.5k without it. Those are the highest thresholds for the first two cycles. That means that a healer that can out heal those numbers and a team with around 8.5k HP can do more than fine, so the rest should go to DPS and no defensive weapons at all. ;) Lastly, I make sure I do strong DPS during the Wind weakness phase in the first sigil break to land at least 3, preferably 4 attacks, as each attack there will count as 3.5-4 attacks in all other phases. This is the biggest “DPS window you have”. However, during that phase, Sephiroth hits like a truck and you need to be able to coordinate attacks, heals, and breaks. But the more you chip down there, the less you will need to deal afterwards. And my gear is prioritised to have potency of any kind, either physical or wind, or both. And I pay attention to have almost all attacks done with max attack stance as not doing so, tremendously hit the DPS done. I hope this helps.
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 Yes this is very helpful. Thanks
Holy smokes dude your dps was insane 😮 solo crash 2 is impossible for most but you pulled it off 👍 congrats 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for your kind words. I hope the video helps, I understand the fight has a DPS check, but as long as you maintain the cycle, you might try. Wind is not important, it helps, but only during the first sigil break sequence. Any team capable of outputting above 15K damage per hit on the main DPS unit can meet the DPS check. Nice speed run for quest
Does this still work today?
It should, but I haven't tested it (I haven't played in months). They have not changed the mechanics, only the item level, so I assume it works.
yes l do it on my shadow* tank every sunday to hit cap for the next week by stock piling blue items
when doing group flashpoints, other players can't steal your loot right? also, if I just want new lightsabers for cosmetics, should I do them solo instead?
There are two types of loot, personal loot and group loot your loot is protected but for the group loot there's an internal dice roll for it
Ah I see u are a man of culture using Lana as a companion for your fps as well
Yes. Probably my favourite character in the game. Her, Blizz and Gault, and depending on the class, I choose one of those four. :)
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 nice,I use her in every situation cause she is the only lvl 50 comp I have, but she is very nice over all the three specs, especially as a tank and dps, well she atleast works for the content I do anyways

this seems highly inefficient. #1 there are definitely other flashpoints where you can get to the first boss way faster if you use a stealth character. #2 you're only allowed 5 phases per hour, so just doing a single boss and resetting hits that cap real fast and locks you out of a bunch of content.
Not quite: 1) this does not require stealth, so any character can do it (although I agree that you can do it faster). 2) you can still finish the last flashpoint so this will net you 7-8 pieces, and while you wait for the phase lock to reset, you do other stuff (like GSF). As such, as far as alt gearing goes, you can't get faster than 5 minutes per piece, even GSF lasts longer per battle, or any heroic daily. ;)
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 Kind of but I don't know if you can do GSF. I seem to remember being locked out of PvP whenever I hit the limit? But yeah I could go do solo content like heroics
@@Draemn you definitely can, as this is what I did with friends at the time. I played some 20 minutes quick FP gearing, and while I waited for the reset, I would grind GSF or do heroics. Again, obviously this is a thing only if you want to gear alts or have a 326 blue set readily available, because GSF is faster overall in terms of getting proper gear. As content isn't properly balanced for 326, I assume we will go to 330 in the next patch and operation gear will reach 334 (which is supposed to be the balancing target of the expansion), so I don't know which upgrade path will work better by then, hence I wanted to have: 1) a full 324 green gear to use in order to force 326 purple PvP gear to drop at specific slots I want 2) a full 326 purple PvP to use at is is the best gear outside of operations for which unfortunately I don't have a group to play 3) a full 326 blue gear to make sure to have available for upgrade if this path is the preferred method in the next patch for 330 Regardless of the above method (which soon will become redundant anyway) my prediction is that we would get 328-330 gold gear for PvP though GSF (to match the existing upgrade scaling of green-blue-purple every two points from 316 onwards), but even if we dont, logic dictates, we will get purple 330 from Flashpoints or green/blue 330 from heroics. Depending on the upgrade path I want to be ready, so I kept many unopened PvP and heroic boxes for the next patch.... I presume patch 7.1 will contain this. Let's see how this goes (as for now, there is no content to bother playing). :)
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 good to know. I was really frustrated before when I'd grind out SF on solo mode and then not be able to play anything for 20 minutes. I don't gsf though
Just use alts? Max 2 - 3 stealth classes and you are fine.
So let me get this right, you are farming 326 gear while wearing 327's? Where is the farm guide for those looking to move from greens to blues?
You can do the above strategy wearing 326 Green gear... the boss fight is just as easy, provided you wear augments (the same augments you wear on the blue and purple later on, augments are the most important part of the gear to be enough to survive this). The point of this farming process is to gear alts, as arguably, grinding for green 326 gear from heroics is slower than this one. But to answer your question, this is the "solo" approach to gearing: 1) you gind heroics until every piece is 324 Green (this costs 150 Aquatic currency per piece so you need 2 weeks of heroics to do so due to the 999 weekly limit) 2a) you play GSF for about 11 Weekly missions (can be done in the same week with alts to which you transfer the 324 gear), which will net you 11 boxes of 326 purple gear and 660 Thyrsian currency to purchase and upgrade to 326 the remaining 3 pieces) Alternatively: 2b) you can skip the GSF part if this isn't to your liking (the only other path for purple gear for now is Operations, so GSF is much easier and faster), and take another week of heroics to upgrade to 326 green. 3) you farm 326 blue gear for your main or alts using the above method.
Is there something compareable for the Imperium?
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, not as easy as this one. Closest thing to this is Hammer Station if you stealth it to the first boss, but you need to circumvent gold mobs as they detect you. It is doable, but it doesn't take 4-5 minutes as this does :/
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 Well, in that case my Sith Lord will take a break and send in his cloned brother (who, as part of a fanfiction, ended up with the Jedi) 🙂

I figured out a method but it's not easy and it's completely random if you survive the encounter. For Empire the "Red Reaper" will be your FP of choice. However there are some drawbacks. While leaving the first room and entering the second a group of 3 enemies will spawn and attack you. I found out that it is best to get killed by them. Afterwards you can bypass them by stealth (stealth toon required in my case a concealment operative). You will get unstealthed in the second room at a random occasion and it depends where you are if you are drawn into a fight. If so get killed. You cannot leave combat by combat stealthing and you won't be able to use the elevator while in combat. Once you made it past the elevator just stealth past the large group of NPCs in the corridor. Then you are at the first boss. I absolutely need the companion ZO-OM at lvl 50 to survive this encounter at all. Shae Vizla simply doesn't pump out enough healing. And even with ZO-OM you can get killed. Usually takes me 3-4 tries to kill the boss. If you succeed you get a blue 326 item. I had 326 green items on me and I received in total 7 items that were an upgrade so far. It's the closest thing to this video I could figure out on Empire side.
You can run Red Reaper on Master mode. Requires some practice but when done right lasts 15 minutes (you kill al 3 bosses, so this is basically as efficient).
If you force camo while hugging the wall to your right you can get past the droid without being detected
Thanks. Will try this. I have run this flashpoint solo many times now, skipping the second boss (it is harder than 6.3 but still doable), and any attempt at force camouflage got me detected by the droid, but never tried to do this hugging the wall. Might speed up the process significantly.
@@edwardsgamingcorner3880 Np, just get a little bit near the mobs, activate transcendence, then pop force camo all while hugging the wall, should work.
@@amandaneves435 Tried it and it works. It takes 30 seconds less now, as I literally don't kill anything other than the boss and the research stations. Thanks :)
